This was quick fun but book but it was missing some key components for me. And I really had an issue with the H not seeing to care at all that the h was HOMELESS!!
It also just wrapped up super quick but hey it was a cute book.

Okay, so before you come for me, hear me out!

This book was written and released ages ago and has since been taken off shelves. It was insanely hard for me to find copies in thrift stores let alone out in the wild at a library. HOWEVER, it is one of the first rom-com books I ever read and it delights me to no end to read and re-read it every single year! The blurbs I found online about it don't do it justice and I'm here to tell you about it!

Okay so our girl Molly is down to her last buck. She fell on some hard times when her ex-boyfriend literally cleaned her out and so she is living hard paycheck to paycheck and just hoping for a bonus. She works as a secretary for an up and coming tech company (think Instagram early days) and she does her job well, but she's very worried about what people think so she has an elaborate system of stretching her buck to make her clothes not give her away. When you work with wealthy people, you gotta embody the attitude and Molly does her best. Molly gets evicted (thanks to her stupid ex) and has enough money to rent a box truck and put all her belongings inside. It's an insane balancing act that she has trying to work hard and keep up appearances and yet not spend more than she can make.

Kyle is out super handsome tech genius and head of the company. He and his best friends started the company and they are so close to selling off a big idea of theirs that they are developing, however there is some shady stuff underfoot. Someone is committing corporate espionage and trying to throw them under the bus before they make the big payday. Is it his head of security that can't keep his hands off any female he passes? Is it his head of development that is rumored to be looking to leave and start her own company? Is it the person who is rumored to have written a tell-all book about him behind his back? Or could it be the beautiful but slightly shifty secretary that he wants? The suspicion is high with Kyle and while he finds himself falling for Molly, he can't help worry that she's the one stabbing him in the back.

The romance between Kyle and Molly has the grumpy/sunshine and enemies to lovers.
In true rom-com fashion there are so many miscommunications and crossed signals. It's such a delightful read and the ending...oh the ending is SO GOOD!!

I would definitely recommend it as a read if you can find it. I would love to see it re-edited and revamped for the more modern age, but I really love it as is.

While this book was pretty good, I still thought there were some problems. The h was funny and quirky, but the H came off a little mean. I just kept waiting for him to be kinder or at least help her when she was obviously struggling, but alas. Lastly, the ending felt a little bit rushed. I wish we could’ve gotten another chapter or two of closure

This was such a fun book to read. It has the comedy of crazy situations happening and intense heat, the pages singed a little.

Molly is a down-on-her-luck kinda girl. He ex left her with debts and she is a receptionist at Ashton Imaging. But working for sexy muscled tech tycoon is hard when all you do is stare at him and not get work done. And when Kyle sees Molly and wonders what she is like to get to know her inside and outside the sheets, he realizes his company is kinda falling apart. There is a rat stealing secrets and the evidence has been laid at Molly’s feet, and just when Kyle was starting to trust her. Molly can’t believe what just happened! Now she has no place to live cause no job so no money so no place. So she remembers Kyle has houses- multiple. So she goes to one of them and pretends she is his fiancé. Foolproof plan right? Well then Kyle shows up to seal a tech deal and then sparks fly. As well as discovering who is really behind the trouble in the company.

The chemistry between Kyle and Molly is great. They have such intense moments but also completely embarrassing ones (mainly on Molly’s part). It was a sarcastic whit voice throughout which I love to read. It seems somewhat real and not super lovey dovey. Would read it again.

This was really good, I wanted BLANK to suffer a little for causing so much pain and humiliation for Molly though. And we didn't even get to see BLANK get fired! And what about blank #2?? I wanted to see Blank#2 suffer some too! I admit I can't HATE Blanks#1#2 but.. it's not fair for Molly to suffer for nothing>( And what about the debt her ex-boyfriend owes?? I want him to suffer definitely, I kind of wanted a reappearance into her life..I think:/? And Glenn? What's going to happen with him? I kinda liked him. I don't think he's an OVERALL bad guy just because he slept with phab ej's ex and propositioned the nass ej.. *snickers* He's just horny. *snickers, I have such fond memories of getting lectured when I called this guy horny in class.. snickers*

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHH LMFAOOOOOOO OMGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE LMFAOOO OK! So I'm sitting here in my cage at the library (seriously, it's called a cage it has bars and everything) and I'm trying not to laugh my head off because there are people studying ect around here lmfao hahahhahahahahhhh but OHMYGOODNESS BWAHAHAHAHAHA LMFAOOOOOOO HAHAHAHAHAAH ... HAHAHAHAHHHHHHHH *TRIES TO BREATHE* I SENSE A BAD SCENARIO COMING ON!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHHHHHHHHH Oh yeah it's a college library, they take studying here very seriously.. hence the cages or 'study cages'.

The first few sentences put a smile on my face :) it was very.. cute, nice, flowed very well, humorous, the main guy was nonexistent right then and there and it was peaceful and drama-free; I liked it. ^_^

"She opened the cabinet over the sink and nearly jumped for joy when she saw a jar of marinated olives. It wasn't sweet, it wasn't from a vending machine and it was a fruit. Or was it a vegetable? Who cared? Right now it was her lunch."

LOL I paused for a sec here because I didn't know myself if Olives were fruits or veggies, turns out they're fruits. Coolios LOL

I didn't really enjoy this book. It was predictable, boring, even confusing at some points. But it also had some funny scenes.

The story was also a cliché... good looking boss falls in love with the not that outstanding but cute secretary.

Molly is poor, living paycheck to paycheck and paying medical bills and the credit card bills her thieving ex-boyfriend left behind when he moved out on her.
When Molly's belongings are thrown out of her apartment onto the street, she rents a truck, parks near work and lives out of it. Her motivation and thoughts are very clear survive and somehow it'll all work out eventually.

Kyle Ashton, Molly's boss and love interest, knows that there's something odd about Molly. He can't quite decide if she's merely brainless, or a pathological liar.
Just when things start looking up for our heroine, a set of stolen software blueprints appears on her desk and her odd behavior suddenly appears malevolent. Her steamy relationship with Kyle takes a sharp left turn when he fires her.

The story was not that bad, I had bigger problems with the characters.
Molly's hard luck becomes depressing after a while, and Kyle's acceptance of Molly's antics also seemed unbelievable.

I liked the story even though I did not like the heroine.

Molly is homeless and lives in a rental truck. Kyle thinks she stole blueprints from the company and fires her. She goes to his vacation home to live for awhile, thinking she will be alone there. Kyle arrives with guests and sees her there. I didn't like Molly. She lied too much. Kyle liked her even though he had no reason to admire anything, and he knew she lied too much. His attraction to her was not believable.

Yeah, don't bother. There are an infinite number of better books in this genre to spend your time reading.

It really is baffling that Kyle could still be attracted to Molly after he believes she is the one who sold him out. And Molly going to live in her former boss' holiday cottage? Who does that even if they are really desperate?! And again, how can Kyle still be attracted to her after she invaded his privacy and moved into his house with him not knowing. Seriously, what kind of half-normal people act like that?!?!

2.5* Not really bad, there are elements that I liked: a strong female character that doesn't give in at the first attention, kiss or first problem for that matter but in the same time the love wasn't really credible, it kind of appeared out of the blue. And even if the male character states his attraction through the book, it actually lacked intensity...

Lies. Lies. Lies. They were too many going on and some even unnecessary. They got me a little confused halfway through the book because I wasn't understanding if the characters where lying to cover someone or if they had an another motive, but hey, what do I know they could've been saying them just out of habit.

Fun, quick read.
The characters are very likable and the plot was interesting enough.
It started a little slow for me but after the laudromat thing, I couldn't put it down.
It's the first book I've ever read from this author and I'm already looking for her other books.

Kind of cute, in an I Love Lucy, getting caught in lies sort of way. Fun characters, but the author clearly knows zero about software or the industry, and since she used that as the basis for the anti-hook, it hurt more than a little.

The ending felt *very* out of place, as if I'd just accidentally read a 1970s harlequin: why bother with a career once I am maaaaarrrried. Still good, just...odd.

I would love to see this as a movie. Someone like Sandra Bullock would be great as Molly.
