She is one woman he should never touch...

Sole Regret’s enigmatic vocalist, Jacob “Shade” Silverton, is a consummate womanizer, but even he knows better than to get involved with one special woman from his past. Mixing friendship and pleasure can only lead to a broken heart, and he’s suffered enough heartache to swear off relationships for a lifetime.

He is one man she has always desired...

Amanda Lange knows all about Shade’s naughty reputation, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to dive into the gorgeous rock star’s arms and into his bed. She convinces herself that one night of passion won’t complicate their friendship, but can she convince him of that?

They’re both playing with fire.

Neither of them realized how far one kiss would take them. As the flames of their passion ignite with the intensity of an inferno, will either of them escape the experience without being burned or will both be branded fool enough to take a chance on a relationship that was marked for ruin before it even began?

I'm really glad I decided to give this series one last shot since I was so disappointed in the last book. Surprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Shade's story. I was prepared to dislike him given his attitude and behavior in the previous books. Not only did I end up loving him, but I fell in love with his relationship with the heroine, Amanda. They were simply fantastic together. Their connection and chemistry radiated off the pages and their quick banter was charming, fun, and endeared them to me. Shade's romance is by far my favorite of the series, and I look forward to future developments in this captivating and erotic relationship.

I also felt this book had a better balance of characterization, eroticism, and plot development. The ending was more fleshed out and satisfying than in previous book and I appreciated that.

I'm not fond of the one-night-only storyline each band member is given for his particular novella, as I would prefer their entire story in a full length book. Not to mention it would be much cheaper. That said, I do see the advantage of this style of storytelling and I still very much look forward to Shade and Amanda's continuing saga.

Whose here to see Sole Regret—“Featuring Shade”….ME ME ME!!

If you have attended the first two performances of Sole Regret than Jacob “Shade” Silverton’s book will NOT disappoint!! Shade has been the lead singer of Sole Regret and has pretty much been considered to be a prick who constantly uses his...

There is a lot more under those sunglasses. Shade is a father who adores his little princess. He constantly has to battle his ex-wife and sadly deals with his own regrets. When his sister-in-law Amanda offers him an in to Julie’s birthday he jumps on the chance. When Amanda further offers him a ride and a friendly ear he invites her to his place. Not for the usual but for pizza and a movie.

Amanda makes him laugh, Amanda makes him smile and Amanda sees Jacob, the man behind the shades.

When their relationship changes gears from friendship to more, things heat up. I will repeat things heat up! Shade’s bedroom scene…HOT!

"But I've retired Jacob for the evening. Now it's time for Shade to come out and play."

Shade is hot but he isn’t "stupid" he goes for what he wants with no regrets!!!

Okay.. It's no secret that i'm a Sole Regret Groupie. And pretty damn proud of it! After reading #1 & #2 I just could not wait to read #3 but I had to wait until Oct. 26 for it, let me tell you that was torture.. the minute it came out I downloaded it and started reading, and I could not put it down because hellow this was another sexy as hell band member.. the lead singer to be exact and ow my gawt.. he def did not let me down.. damn who wouldn't want a sexy rockgod singing to you while he's f*cking your brains out for the 5time in a night :D (yeah yeah I know.. I have a dirty naughty mind AND I blaim Olivia Cunning for it with all her amazing sizzling hot series)

Once sentence in the very beginning of the story had me R.O.F.L and it's one that is gonna stay in my mind forever and ever because it's just to good..

'Amanda’s panties were going to need scuba gear if they got any wetter'

And now i'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry a little because I have to wait for Owen "Tags" story (#4 in the series)

Hell Yeah, this is Shade's book

Oh Shade the things you do to me....

Ok, so back to the story.
In this one we get to know a whole lot more about Shade, ok he is the smokin hot vocalist of the band, sex on legs, womanizer BUT he can see that he loves a girl more than life itself, his daughter.
It's endearing the scenes of him with his daughter and the precious moments he could be with her, and sang to her (i was all teary) in her birthday. Few moments, because saying he have a difficult relationship with his ex, it's putting it mildly. She loads him, calls him stupid, talks only bad things of him to their daughter, and didn't even told him she was having a birthday party. He only did know it, because Amanda let him know.
Amanda, his ex's sister, the only woman he should never touch but the only woman that knew the real Jacob, that laughed with him and kept everything real.
The thing is, for Amanda, she always desired Shade, even when he preferred and married her sister. She thinks he never saw her or taught of her as an attractive woman, but oh boy, was she wrong.

I just loved this book, it was endearing, it was FUN, it was sexy, it was HOT. And when i say HOT, i say insanely HOT...i just wished the book was longer (no pun intended, lol).

Amanda soon learned that a man with a sex swing, stamina, and fantastic upper body strength could fuck a woman into a state of delirium. Especially a man who knew at least forty-five positions

Olivia Cunning has done it again!! I so love these boys of Sole Regret, and I've been anxiously awaiting Jacob/Shade's story ever since we first met him! I knew there was something behind that broody, angsty demeanor, and whoa was there ever! This may be my favorite of the series yet!!

As much as I love Gabe for his sweet boy hidden behind the sexy rocker, I love Shade for the fear and low self-worth that he hides behind his well-deserved cocky beast persona. Take me goes back to everything I loved about Try Me but missed with Adam in Tempt Me. That's what I love about this series, how these seemingly cold and untouchable gods of rock are so very different and captivating behind all that!! In Take Me, we see Shade's struggle with being a dad to his darling little girl while living the life of a famous rocker. Not seeing her save for a few days of the month and putting up with his bitch of an ex who constantly puts him down in front of their daughter has him feeling worthless as a father and a man, and it was so sad to see that part of him. He embraces the persona of Shade for so much of his life so he can just shove all that aside. What Amanda gives him is that one place in his life where he doesn't have to do that, and he adores her for it. The catch? She's bitchy ex-wife's sister...yeah, major complication. Between that and the fact that Jacob can't bear to lose her friendship, he fights his attraction to her with everything he's got. Until he decides to invite her over for an "innocent" movie night to thank her for giving him a head's up about his daughter's birthday party!!

Neither Amanada nor Jacob can resist the blazing-hot chemistry between them, and given how much Amanda's wanted him for so long, she wasn't even trying!! It was intensely hot anticipation, and when that last section of wall finally crumbled they were just on fire!! Seeing both the Jacob and Shade side of him show up for their night of passion, it's hard to say which was my favorite!! Holy hell, Shade is a freak in the bed!! It broke my heart how much Shade looked down on himself (and I just wanted to rip his horrid ex-wife's hair out for putting him down in front of their daughter, it was awful!), but the fact that Amanda could soothe that and make him feel worthwhile as a man and not just f*ck buddy made me hope so badly that they can find their HEA!!

Once again, Cunning leaves things open-ended with a hint of hope for their future. I don't know how this situation could possibly work out, and I'm even more curious as to how she will end this series when the time comes. But for now, I'm still loving our Sole Regret boys and holding out hope for HEA all around!!

I don't even know where to start. My panties were on fire! I mean FUCK! Drenched. If that's not a sign of a good book....I don't know what more I can say.

Ok, I'll start with this...I didn't really like Shade all that much in the first two books. I thought he was an arrogant, cocky asshole. Well, let's just say that my perspective has changed. A LOT. In this book, we really get to know Shade. We don't see him as the Rock Star. We get to see him as a Daddy as well. I just about melted. Then, he gets reacquainted with his ex's sister and things heat up. Jacob "Shade", has always had a thing for Amanda, but never did anything about it, because really...he thought she was too good for him. Jacob, believe it or not, has some self esteem issues. That's why he hides behind the shades. Get it?

So, Amanda enters into the picture and like Jacob, she's always had a crush on him. Amanda sees her chance to spend time with Jacob alone and jumps on it. Literally. You guys...the sex in this book was smokin! I was numb by the time I finished it.

There are a few things I learned while reading this book:
1. Shade/Jacob became a totally fuckable guy for me.
2. Apparently, I need to invest in a swing and cameras.
3. Shade is a kinky fucker.
4. I can't wait to see what happens for Jacob and Amanda.
5. I'm absolutely DYING to know what the fuck Gabe is making and I'm willing to be the test subject!

Once again, Olivia Cunning created a guy that I would probably try anything with, who can soak my panties just by looking at me, and who left me breathless. Gabe remains my top guy in this series, but Shade is close behind. To say I'm looking forward to Touch Me, the next book, would be an understatement. Owen is sure to drench the panties too. I mean...he's got a dick piercing. Sign me up to mount that shit!

What a sweet, sexy surprise! Shade just became my favorite Cunning rocker of the bunch. Those shades! They hide such huge tenderness, heart, emotion and one hell of man!

”He had expressive eyes that quickly made a person realize that he wasn’t the heartless, narcissistic son of a bitch he pretended to be. And that’s why she wanted him. Not because he was the most eyegasmic man ever to walk to earth, but because he felt. Deeply. And those pretty blue eyes of his revealed everything he tried to hide.”

Eyegasmic! Love that word!

Jacob “Shade” Silverton, the lead singer of Sole Regret, takes center stage in Olivia Cunning’s Take Me with one night of passion, intimacy, sharing, and o-my-gods rocking & rolling moaning, panting, hip thrusting sexy fun! One night of passion shared with Amanda, his ex-wife’s sister. :o I can feel the blow-up and trouble waiting in the wings.

But for now, this one night with Jacob and Amanda warmed my heart. Their time in the bedroom was smoking hot, but it was the laughing, talking, trusting, and sharing their regrets and hopes that made this story one of my favorites. The talks, touches, and glances were fun, intimate and emotionally raw. I never would have guessed such emotion, care, and insecurity were hidden under Shade’s sunglasses. Wow! I fell hard.

I will go now before I spill and spoil the surprises of the heart found in these pages and couple. Highly recommended read for Cunning fans and more.

Just when I thought I was done with this series—she *pulls* me back in!

This is my favorite of the series so far. I enjoyed that Jacob and Amanda had a history and didn't just meet for the first time in this novella. They were a good couple. Playful, funny, sexy. They had a good time together, and I enjoyed that aspect of Take Me.

I do feel OC does a much better job with a full-length book than these too-short novellas. This series could have been very good, equally as good as her Sinners series, if she had been able to and/or taken the time to make them full-length. These shorts are missing so much of the feeling and band camaraderie that the Sinners series manages to have.

All-in-all, not bad for the third entry in this series, and much better than the previous two.

Now with these short stories of Sole Regret you can't go into it thinking it should have been this or that. It's about how each member does what he does best besides playing in the band. It's about sex. Hot sweaty gorilla off the walls sex and the lucky gal who gets hers and gets it pretty fucking good!

THE VISUALS! THE VISUALS!

Couch scene is pretty good. Hot tub scene not too shabby. But the bedroom scene...One of the BEST fucking scenes EVAH! No joke. No lie. I speak truth. (IMO, of course)

Find out for yourself and call me a liar. I dare ya.

Undoubtedly the BEST SOLE REGRET NOVELLA SO FAR!

Okay, sorry, just had to shout that from the rooftops... or my shower cubicle, with the spray on 'holy crap thats cold'! A true necessity though when it comes to Olivia Cunning and her bad boy, hotter than hell, Rock Stars.

I was concerned about Shade's book, because in book 1 and 2 he came across as a complete jerk, and I wondered if I could warm to the elusive guy that hides behind those mirrored shades, but wow, Olivia really pulled this one out of the bag and it's rocketed like a vibrating missile up to the number one 'G' spot!

*

Many say the eyes are a window to the soul, and they can project true emotion, so its no wonder he hides those crystal blues behind those mirrored glasses, because when those shades come off - Amanda knows that she's in trouble - a whole world full of trouble. And Shade becomes Jacob, just for one night only.

But is one night enough...?

With a pizza, scary movie and a bowl full of fruit, a few pillows and a roll on the sofa, hot tub, and bedroom 'stage' theatrics, the night goes off with a bang, or two, or three... and as Shade and Amanda promise each-other it's only for one night, they may come to find that fate has a way of intervening...

A nice straight-forward love story I hear you say? Well yes, it would be, if Amanda wasn't his ex-wife's older sister and the aunty of his beloved four year old Daughter - it would be a walk in the park (or on the stage)... whatever.

*

God, I loved this novella, LOVED. LOVED. LOVED. IT! Amanda is awesome and Shade knows how to treat a women. Oh Wow, that bedroom scene! Ladies, invest in clean underwear, because THEY WILL need scuba equipment when you have finished with this one! :D

Olivia, I am high-fiving you right now, lady!

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

5 SEXY SHORT STARS.

Jacob "Shade" Silverton tried to make his marriage work but finally gave in to all the women and his marriage ended in divorce. His one regret is not seeing his daughter, Julie, enough. Luckily, his ex sister-in-law keeps him in the loop. That makes things tricky because they both want a lot more but are aware of the problems that would cause.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm finally getting the hang of these books being an installment series or if it was because I just really liked this story but finally one I really enjoyed. I loved that Shade was so vulnerable...and the bedroom stage didn't hurt either.

Like I said, Shade being so vulnerable and hiding behind his sunglasses were a big plus as are his "mad sex skills" but I really loved how he was with his daughter.

Amanda is pretty funny and I really enjoyed all her joking with Jacob. I love that she sees his vulnerability as well. She seems pretty level headed so I'm hoping that will help them work things through.

We do get a few interactions with some of the other members of the band and what's going on with their relationships. I like that and I hope that it gets expanded on as we get further into the series. I was also happy with what's going on between Adam and Shade.

There were some pretty steamy sex scenes in the book...well, most of the book was sex but what in the heck did Shade have in his bedroom?? A performance stage where he sings to you along with the music and makes love to you along with the beat?? Phhheewwwww! You don't want to miss that!

I really want to read about when Jacob's and Amanda's relationship comes out in the open. Tina (ex wife and sister = not good) is really going to flip out and that's not good since she is a holy terror already and says horrible things about Jacob to his daughter. I just hope that OC finds a way to make things manageable.

Owen's story will be next and sounds like with an older woman...can't wait!

Favorite quotes:

♥ It’s a sex swing. I figured you were getting tired. This will make my mad sex skills easier on your body.”

♦ “Don’t give that schnauzer a flea bath in cottage cheese,” she said and hugged her pillow.

Been waiting for this story for a while, and bought it IMMEDIATELY after Olivia posted that it was available. In the first two books of the series, I was convinced that Shade was an asshole. Clearly, I was mistaken.

After learning about Julie, my heart softened to him. After hearing some of her inner dialogue after the conversation with Tina, I wanted to hug him a bit.

After he dismissed Veronica, even though Amanda was untouchable, I fell in love with him just a little.

Then came the "performance". He turned ME into a puddle of lust!

When he got out of the Jeep, and then had his goofy grin, I became a "Shade-o-phile" (patent pending)

I was glad to get some insight into his issues with Adam, and hope things improve for them. Great book, well written, I only wanted a dozen more chapters so I can read more of their story!

Olivia can do no wrong when it comes to the hottie rockers! Loved it!

FIVE HOLY HELL HAWT STARS!!!
Thank you a million times over, Jen, for telling me to read these!!!!!

"Take Me" is definitely my favorite Soul Regret book!!!
I think I'm in love with Jacob Silverton!!
In the first two books he came off as sort of man whore-ish!
I loved him in this book.
He's so much more than a rock god.
My heart broke for him during the short ten minutes he was granted with his 4 year old daughter, Julie, on her birthday.
This book explains why he is the way he is with women and how he uses his sunglasses to hide showing his true feelings.
I loved Jacob.
I really freaking adored Amanda...Jacob's ex sister-in-law.
She had me laughing out loud A LOT!!!
These two have chemistry in and out of the bed, hot tub, shower, couch, and kitchen counter!!!
Holy hell these two are HAWT!
Jacob is my ultimate fantasy now.
A man with an insatiable sex drive and a great sense of humor.
OMG that bedroom with all the tv monitors and cameras.....I need a cold shower!!
Don't get me started on that dang sex swing.
Yes I am truly on "Team Jacob"!!!!

I need the continuation of Jacob and Amanda's story like YESTERDAY!!!!

I like them both, really do...Tina is a cow! Any woman that dishes on her baby daddy infront of said babies is a totally beeyach-cow...don't care how crappy the baby-daddy is! Half that little gift from God is that daddy so DO NOT call him stupid, etc...I really hated Tina...

But they are sisters...uggg, I had to put my mind off that or I wouldn't have read past the book liner...Love Amanda and her honesty and Slade is an ass, but Jacob...what a sweety!

He and Adam need to make up, like now! me

Gitte: 4.5 short sexy stars
Jenny: 4.5 panty dropping stars!

Gitte: Oh wow…this one is definitely my FAVE Sole Regret story so far! I did love Try Me, it was a sexy short read perfectly balanced but didn’t really stir my emotions too much, I wasn’t too keen on Tempt Me, this one seemed more about the nookie not so much about a story. Then came; Take Me. Now, I was really worried because I did NOT like Shade whatsoever in book 1 and 2. He came across moody, arrogant with a rude and obnoxious attitude. Well how wrong was I?! He is LUSH…I LOVE him…LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!!!

Jenny: Absolutely agree with you about Try Me and Tempt Me Gitte. They didn't really grip me as a reader. I liked them but they were just a read, whereas this book definitely had the emotional factor and gave me the character connection I seemed to miss in the first two. Take Me is without a doubt my favourite Sole Regret to date and who would have guessed it would be Shade that would win me over. We really didn't like him in the first two books did we Gitte? He was such a dick, but win me over he did - BIG TIME! I LOVE THIS GUY TOO!!!!!!

Gitte: Yes, the emotions in Take Me made this one ‘spot on’ for me too. Reading Shade’s story, he totally redeemed himself, I understood why he acts the way he does and he is definitely my favourite now in this series..by…a…mile!

Jenny: I really felt the character connection in this book and I loved unravelling Shade's personality and seeing his defences come down. I liked what I saw and Shade me in his clutches from start to finish.

Gitte: Yeah I thought Take Me was fab. The characters were explored more, I could connect with them as well. The storyline touched me and it had great banter and seriously the sex factor was HOT! I don’t really want to say too much about his story as these books are so short that saying too much I feel will spoil the reading experience.

Jenny: I really did love everything about this book….the characters of Shade and Amanda and Julie just stole my heart! I don't think I can ever listen to Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith without thinking picturing that wonderful scene. That was just mesmerising! Loved it and for me that's when Shade stole my heart as well.

Gitte: Shade is the lead singer of Sole Regret and hides behind….you guessed it…his sunnies in order to hide his extremely expressive eyes. Shade (Jacob) umm wow so hot right Jenny?! His story broke my heart, under all that hot raw alpha male exterior lies a huge heart that is breaking because of his circumstances. But not only is he completely lovable…but this man is totally shaggable too!! The bedroom scene was…just wow…right Jenny?! And his eyes…what is it about his eyes…they had me and I wanted to pull him out the story so I could gaze into them.

Jenny: Oh he is totally shaggable for sure!!! And yes! That bedroom scene….whoa! You betcha that was hot GG!! I loved exploring the story behind his nickname……..and yes THOSE EYES! Although I couldn't see them that didn't stop me from drowning in them. I loved Jacob….nice wonderful, yet totally alpha Jacob! But….oh Shade….sweet baby Jesus Shade!

"but I've retired Jacob for the evening. Now it's time for Shade to come out and play"

and play he did! And play, and play………phew!

Gitte: Amanda is real, honest, funny and so down to earth. She sees Jacob, not Shade the persona and the chemistry and banter between them is fab. She sees the man; his hurt and want to be there for him. She has had a thing for him for years, since her sister brought him into their lives and ceases the day when he is back from the tour which is when their journey; their “One Night” begins…

“Amanda’s panties were going to need scuba gear if they got any wetter” – this line cracked me up…totally stealing this one hahaha.

Jenny: I absolutely adored Amanda and loved that line! I do believe you snorted repeating that line to me lol ! She was strong, funny, sexy, honest and yes, the chemistry between these two just leapt off the pages! I love the whole best friends to lovers thing and this one is one of my favourites because I really did love and care about these characters. She was a perfect counter balance to Shade/Jacob and she saw what was beneath the….well Shades!
Ha! There were some great lines in this book weren't there Gitte? I loved this one from Amanda too

"She knew he was teasing her, but that didn't stop parts in her pants from readying themselves for a welcome invasion"

And Shade/Jacob saw her as someone he could relate to and she felt so real to him as well…..he's used to having women for sex but Amanda reached him on a whole new level

"It was refreshing to flirt with a woman who didn’t think it meant she had to fall on his dick with a missle-seeking vagina"

Gitte: So Jenny…I loved this one…my favourite so far…just wish it was longer, I wanted more Shade!!!

Jenny: For sure Gitte! This one was my favourite too and I definitely wasn't ready to say goodbye to Shade just yet! I certainly would have been happy with much more!

Sooooo freaking hot....

Shade's story is much more in depth than I imagined... The reason for his sunglasses appears to be less about being pretentious and more about hiding the windows to his soul... A soul that knows its fair share of heartbreak. Without giving too much away, I'll say that between Tina's insults and Julie's confusion and love, my tears were flowing easily for Jacob before the end of the very first chapter. I felt so bad for him and Julie. Tina may have her reasons, but she obviously didn't make it easy for him back in the day, either.

Enter Amanda. They're perfect together. Their shared humor is refreshing... it's great to see a softer, more relaxed side to Jacob. She brings out the best in him... in many ways... Sexually, they are a perfect fit. I just have to say, though, that in the bedroom, when he slips back into his Shades character... That could possibly be one of the hottest sex scenes I have ever read about... Again, without giving too much away, I have to explain that I love musicians... and I love music... I often listen to music and imagine what it would be like to have sex to that particular song... I've even laughed about how some songs have parts that you'd almost have to choreograph your sex to to make it hit at just the right times... LOL.. I know. Stupid. Well, maybe not after reading Shade's story... And my imagination was elementary compared to that!!! I'd visit that room any time!! If I had to choose between Christian Grey's red room of pain and Shade's bedroom, I'd pick Shade's bedroom 4 times out of 5... LOL!!

I love the promise of the future they could have together, which we can only imagine because of the one night format of these books... I would love for Olivia Cunning to write a 6th book that is about a night with all of the band members and the significant others they have found... something that wraps up each story better.

No, this is too short……..yes, I know it’s a novella but I was filled with a sense of loss, so deprived.

Take Me is the 3rd part of Olivia Cunning’s Sole Regret Series and it keeps getting better and better with each story. The author brings to life every girl’s dreams and fantasies about rock stars – such engaging and lovable characters, steamy sex scenes, great dialogue and really good interaction between the characters.

So, here we have Jacob aka Shade, the band’s lead vocalist, who always wears dark sunglasses…oh yes we do get to know the reason for this!!!! I had this idea of a jerk…but wow he’s nothing like that ….we see a side of him that is totally incredible. There’s more to this guy….and I don’t just mean the secrets in his bedroom…which are beyond AWESOME….he’s a genius at lovemaking, let me tell you!!!

Having to deal with his bitchy and cold ex-wife must be the worst thing…but he does have a small daughter that he loves and adores and just when he thinks that nothing could go any worse in his live…his car is stolen, kicked out from his daughter’s birthday party…something good comes his way.

Amanda, his wicked ex-wife’s sister who has always been in love with him. She’s kind, funny, sexy, smart, beyond cool and so lovable.

Not going to say anymore here…read these books…….they are fabulous.
Just wished they were longer. I kind of feel a sense of being lost in these characters lives…does that make sense????

Please can I have more Shade and Amanda........please!!!!

One Night with Shade!

For those interested in reading this series, do yourself a favor and read them in order. There are bits and pieces that carry over to the next story. Also, each story is about ONE night with a member of the band Sole Regret. Gabe's story (Try Me) was the first night. The very next day and night describes Adam's story (Tempt Me). By the time you get to Take Me, it is the third consecutive night, and this one is all about lead vocalist Shade!

I really enjoyed getting to know Jacob (aka Shade). He's sensitive and has a huge heart for a certain princess. In Take Me we get to learn why he wears those sunglasses all the time. He also loves to treat his lovers to a full “rock star” experience, as Amanda found out during their incredibly steamy time together!

Gabe makes an appearance! The inquisitive conversation he has with Amanda had me literally rolling on floor! Along with heart-to-heart conversations, how the band chose its name is revealed. Then there is a build up to Owen's story for Touch Me. His story should be very interesting!

For fans who like rock stars in erotic short stories, this series is for you!

His band was known for creating melt-your-face-off metal

She glanced up at his face and found his eyes closed, lips parted, expression tense. Dear lord, she’d never seen a sexier man in her life.

Very excited for Shade's story... Please please please tell me it will be longer than the last few! I'm greedy and I need more of these sexy rockers!

EDIT:
Ok, I debated on the stars. I decided to swallow the annoyance of the cut off endings and rate it by how I feel about the characters and the story. I love that we're at least getting these often enough but I just feel like they're all teasers. I would much rather have a full length book on each guy at one time. Neat concept, it just makes me want to scream at times.

So, the characters and story. I love Shade. This was by far my favorite novella. My favorite couple. Amanda wasn't some dumb fangirl. She was smart, knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it. Shade was suprisingly vunerable, sexy and sweet. I can't wait to get more of these two.

5 HARDCORE STARS! (Olivia...marry me!)

Hands down, best Sole Regret book! The first chapter sets the story, it's all you need to understand Jacob "Shade" Silverton. My heart ached and my eyes swelled for him! As for the rest of the book, holy wet panties! He sure can deliver an amazing performance. *wink*

I've said it before and I'll say it again and a thousand times more. When it comes to rock stars, no one does it better than Olivia Cunning! She captures the full essence of a musician. Their love of music, their passion for performance, the thrill of the stage, and desire to please their women! It's a cum-bustible con-cock-tion! ;)

I’m sorry…..WHAT???? It is a good thing that this short little series was not my first Olivia Cunning books. I am pretty sure I wouldn’t have read any of her others if that were the case.

I didn’t care for Shade in the other books so I was surprised at the beginning of this one that the love he has for his daughter quickly changed my mind about him. So all and all I didn’t hate him but I wouldn’t say I liked him either.

Madison seems like an okay character. I really could have used more of their story since this one did actually leave me wanting more. There are so many loose ends in this one…..although I guess there were in the other two, but I didn’t care enough about those to really notice.

Olivia Cunning has done it again....I absolutely LOVE this series about Sole Regret. Each book just keeps getting better and I don't really know how she does it because I LOVED the first 2. I really didn't like Jacob "Shade" Silverton in the first 2 books but I have grown very fond of him in Take Me. I love a Bad Boy with a little girl. Julie is a lucky little girl to have him for a dad:) I also liked that this book touched on other stories. It was great to see Gabe again and also to learn a little more about Adam and Jacob's arguments. I can't wait to read Touch Me. This is a MUST READ

Holy Hot Rock Stars Batman! I have loved all the books in this series, but I was crazy with anticipation for Shade's story. I always knew there was more behind those sunglasses. We had glimpses in Adam's story and that made me want to get to know him better and we do get to know him. Is he a rock god... Yes! Is he a sex god... Yes! Does he have a heart under all that raw masculinity ... Yes! I have to say that of all the books to date in the Sole Regret series this one seems the most emotional and not just because of Jacob & Amanda but also because of Julie and Adam. I think Miss Cunning has a tender spot for her leader singer ;). Ohhhhhh and so do we!!!

After reading Tempt Me, I was feeling like I was missing something with the band members of Sole Regret. Adam's story and his relationship with his drug counselor never sat quite right with me and the animosity between Shade and Adam was obviously deep routed, but we never found out what it was. Thankfully, Olivia Cunning gave us Shade's story. It redeemed Adam's story, in my opinion, and gave me faith in the series.

Jacob "Shade" Silverton uses women and sex as a way to 'scratch an itch' and act out his part as a rock star, but that's not who Shade is. He's a man that has regrets, which include not finishing high school, failing in his marriage and not being there for his small daughter. He finds the only time he can truly be himself is around his family, which includes his ex sister-in-law, Amanda. He's always been attracted to her, but he vows to keep himself in check because he doesn't want to ruin the relationship that they have. But Shade doesn't know, is that Amanda has always had a 'thing' for him. When they are giving the opportunity to that things further, will it be for one night or will it lead to more?

I loved Shade. He seemed like such an ass in the first two books, but we find out in his story he has his reasons. His Sole Regret persona was not at all like who he truly is: a man who loves his daughter, hates how his ex-wife makes him feel and wishes he could find someone who he could just be himself with. He was scared to take things with Amanda to a sexual level because he didn't want to lose the camaraderie they have. And when Shade finally has to make the decision about how to leave things with Amanda, it wasn't with a rushed profession of feelings and promises for the future it was instead building on the foundation of friendship. That made me love Shade.

I like Amanda. She was witty, down to earth and while thinking she was just ordinary, didn't let that get her down. My only issue with Amanda was 1. admitting she had a thing for her little sister's ex-husband and 2. actually sleeping with him. Isn't there a rule or something for that? Besides that, she was a great match for Shade. She knew him outside of his stage persona and could make him laugh. I loved the scene with them in the kitchen singing Katrina and the Wave. Amanda brought out a side to Shade that I'm sure he didn't even know he had. In the end, I think she will make him a better man and a better father.

An enjoyable, if all too short read. I look forward to the next Sole Regret entry.

You'll probably need a clean pair of panties after reading this third book in the One Night with Sole Regret series. Amanda certainly didn't bother to recover hers when her night with Shade concluded. And how could she not be reduced to a puddle when the rock god is singing to her while giving it to her in his erotic stage of a bedroom? One of the hottest scenes ever. To top it off, there's some depth to this H/h relationship with forecast-able conflicts if they choose to commit to each other. This is all page-turning good, but like the prior novellas in this series, you're left without resolution. This impatient reader doesn't want to be strung along. I want my happily ever after, OC!

Another great instalment in the series.
I think I liked this one because both parties have problems if they accept the relationship that they both want. Amanda being the sister of his ex wife, oooh I can just see the thousands of different outcomes that could come from this situation. So for once it wasn't just shallow reasons for not taking that step, but actual real life problems. Nice for a change. Still sexy freaking hot, Olivia Cunning's style which of course is amazing. The swing and the light and drum patterns, ooh la la!! Really looking forward to any future novella's about any of these Guy's from Sole Regret.

This review is for all three of the One Night with Sole Regret books. I definitely like Olivia Cunning’s stories but I have to admit I prefer her Sinner’s on Tour books. It’s not that these stories aren’t as good, but they are too damn short. When I finished each book I was left wanting more. This is definitely a personal preference. I am not a huge fan of short stories, but I still enjoyed them. If the books were longer and I got to see more of these couples I would've rated the books much higher.
