One more night...

For almost a year, Madison has been Adam’s hook-up every time his band, Sole Regret, tours through Dallas. But in spite of the way he sets her body ablaze with passion, the occasional night of rock-her-world sex isn’t enough anymore. She needs a commitment and knows that won’t fit into Adam’s rock-star lifestyle. Madison will take one more hot-and-heavy night with the sexy musician before she cuts all ties with him for good. Even if she must break her own heart to do it.

To tempt him...

Life isn’t all bright lights and fan adulation for the lead guitarist for Sole Regret. Madison has seen Adam at his worst and still managed to bring out the best in him. Her cleverly concealed naughty side also brings out the beast in him. He’s never met a more tempting woman in his life.

Madison has no problem tempting Adam into her bed, but can she tempt his heart into taking a chance on love?

This 32,500 word erotic romance novella contains explicit sexual situations, including some rough backdoor lovin’, hair-pulling, spanking, and whole lotta dirty talk.

1 1/2 to 2 stars

For me, this book was a waste of time. I should have just stop when I knew it wasn't working for me.

For the life of me, I can't figure out what's the point of this particular novella. I get that this series is a single night devoted to one of the Sole Regret's bandmates, but this book made little to no sense, as there was absolutely no resolution whatsoever at the end.

The book starts with what should have been a compelling and sexy plot, but ends up being anything but. Although the characters had depth (reason I gave it 2 stars), the story focused on the tedious repetition of the hero and heroine's insecure feelings, irrelevant conversation that should have progressed the plot but didn't, and copious amounts of sex.

As I mentioned in my status update, there's a lot of backdoor lovin' in this book. In fact, so much I started to wonder if the hero forgot he was with a girl and the heroine forgot she was a girl. So not my cuppa!

I was really looking forward to reading this book, but, unfortunately, Tempt Me ended up being a huge disappointment, for me anyway.

Alright... WTH???!!! I was alright with Gabe and Melanie from Take Me having a HFN for now and then revisting them in a later novella..... but now a HFN with Adam and Madison too and revisiting them in another novella AS WELL???!!!! That's just pisses me off SO MUCH! Sure i enjoyed the story BUT if ALL the stories in this series are going to have HFN's with revisits in LATER novellas, i MIGHT HAVE TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER giving this series a miss until ALL the novellas come out! I like my HEA's and i like them in one book! NOT HAPPY!

Olivia Cunning is on a downward spiral, it seems. Or is that just the way I see it?

Yes, I loved the Sinner series to death. Heck, I even loved the first book in this bunch! I admit it – I was a Olivia Cunning groupie for a long time.

Now, when I see all the glowing review and gushy status updates on goodreads, I feel like I am the one that has a fatal (taste) flaw.
Is something wrong with me? (Maybe. The doctor did say you NEED the little pink pills.)
Am I dealing with a split personality? (Again –pink pills, darling, PINK PILLS!)
Am I finally fed up with rock stars? (No way!)
Or could it be...that people are just loving the new stuff out of misguided loyalty?
It would not be the first time (or the last time) something like that happened. Just look at all the high ratings to the latest Sookie Stachouse books! Who in their right mind would like that? Devoted fans, that’s who. People that believe in an author.

Maybe I have become too cynical. Maybe I am a (book) elitist.
But I read too much to settle for less than perfect.
And “Tempt me” was very far from perfect. The most I can give it is a tepid and unenthusiastic 2 and a half stars. Barely!

You know how Olivia Cunning could make you like the ultimate asshats and roll-your-eyes heroines?
Yeah…not happening in this short story!
IS there anything as endearing as a man-slut ex-druggie that is having sex all over the place and smoking weed? All of this while he is in a somewhat open relationship with his sweet drug counselor. The one who is having unprotected sex with him – because she trust him.
And there I was, my glass of wine suspended in the air, and my brain in turmoil.
I know what the author wanted to say with the unprotected sex – the heroine is the only person in the world who has placed her trust in to this hero. Good. Great.
But, I am unable to disregard the fact that even if he is using condoms with the other woman he sleeps with – he can always catch genital herpes and HPV, since these illnesses are transferable with skin contact, not bodily fluids. And yes – there is noting as romantic as having an incurable genital disease.
Also, I know that it can not be cheating if they never said they were exclusive. I know. I get this. I just don’t have to except it! :)
Don’t worry. I can deal with a hero who is not perfect. I can! I promise! And yet…he is already a not-really-recovered addict! Did he really need to be so slutty as well?
The fact that he could not get it up most of the time -when he was with other women, that is- would have been a sigh worthy moment…if not for the fact that he kept going at it, and going at it, until his dick would finally get hard and he can get himself some sex! Being that dedicated to almost-but-not-quite cheating is just wrong. You are not cool, mister!

Do you guys remember the sexual fest going on in the first two Sinners book? Somehow, some way – those were hot. Having another band mate cum in the heroine hair? Acceptable. A heroine being double penetrated with yet another band mate? Totally fine.
But here, in this book, it all felt kind of dirty. Kind of like an ongoing orgy in a completely unsexy way.
And when I say ongoing…I mean ongoing . Not one single thing was resolved. Be it band problems, or home problems…even the drug addiction problems. Nothing. Some promises were made, and some utterly crappy teasers were added. You also want to know who Well, I don’t care all that much. I am too mad to care. Even if I tried to give a damn, I would have no idea where to start! There were so many “buy my next book and I will tell you” moments in there, I was starting to feel like the whole short story was a teaser instead of a peace on its own.

Am I saying I regret buying this? Yes.
And starting the series. I regret that as well.
I am maybe even repenting the way I fell in love with the Sinners. Because now I am prone to getting my heart crushed. Prone to feeling utter disappointment when the author does not deliver. And in this book? She most certainly did not deliver.

Olivia Cunning is the Queen of Kink! If you ever want to read the naughtiest spice scenes, just pick up one of her books. I dare you not to blush!

Every time Adam, the lead guitarist for Sole Regret, visits Dallas his heart soars at the thought of seeing Madison again. He met her a year ago while recovering from an almost overdose. She helped him get back on his feet. He has strong feelings for her but never tells Madison, thinking it’s better to keep the relationship casual. He doesn’t want to be hurt by letting someone in too close.

Madison has fallen for the worst kind of boyfriend, in her opinion: a rock star. She wasn’t attracted to Adam’s fame, but she fell for him anyhow. Madison thought she could go on just taking whatever Adam could give her anytime he was in town, but that’s no longer enough. She’s afraid her heart will shatter into pieces if she allows this to go on. Madison needs someone who will commit to her and only her, and decides to let Adam go after seeing him one last time.

This is a short story, and with that you can’t expect much depth going in. I enjoyed this story for what is was, although I liked Gabe and Melanie's story in Try Me better. I had issues with Adams past drug use and his sort of shaky recovery. Having a relationship with a rocker is not my ideal to begin with, but to add that into the mix, seems like inviting trouble in the long run.

Like I said before, Ms. Cunning is the Queen of Kink and she certainly delivers in this story, but there were sweet moments too:

He squeezed her against him so tightly, she could scarcely draw breath. "We'll make it work," he said. "We have to. I can't live without you."

I can't wait to read Shade's story next because I'm dying to know what's going on with him.

**2.5 stars**

Well if you're in a mood for a total cheesy porn sexfest, this is the book for you. I have to say that I really like OC's other series, Sinners on Tour, and I'm even interested in the guys in this band...I just want MORE story.

This one is about the lead guitarist, Adam, and the girl he sees(aka has sex with) every time he's in Dallas, Madison. She's decided she's fallen in love with him but knows she can't keep him so she's just going to give him a wild time to remember her.

And...I don't have any problem with reading about wild times but this was just over the top too much and add in some (A LOT) buttseck and a girl that is just discovering her kink and well, there you go.

I did like Adam....not so sure about Madison but they seem to fit together. The problem as with all these novellas is the lack of story so why do I keep reading them?? LOL. And the story is not finished.

I had heard that she was writing the first three as novellas and then would start the full length books but at the end of this book, she lets you know that Shade's will be next followed by two more novellas, another one for Adam & Madison and one for Gabe & Melanie from Try Me. So that's a little frustrating but guess what? I will be reading Shade's book. ;)

**eta...I do really like the cover.

"ARE YOU HERE TO SEE SOLE REGRET?"

Adam Taylor, guitarist for Sole Regret has fought many demons with the assistance of Madison Fairbanks. Both want their relationship to become exclusive. While each suffers from insecurities about the other's feelings:

Adam: "What did she see in him anyway? Didn't she realize what a bastard he was? Everyone else seemed to recognize it."

Madison: "Maybe if she'd been a supermodel or a famous actress, he'd consider admitting they were involved. But she was just ordinary Madison Fairbanks, with ordinary aspirations and ordinary looks and an ordinary life. She'd never be enough for him."

Once Adam says those three little words for the first time in his life, he doesn't regret it. In this one night they reached a new level to their relationship and realize all that they have together.

This Sole Regret fan can't wait to read about the man behind those aviator sunglasses next!

Wow. Just...wow. That sucked. The heroine's the hero's drug counselor and she's been sleeping with him--even back when he was trying to get clean! They'd even have sex in the middle of their sessions. I have a really hard time accepting that. To have the hero admit to constantly screwing around on the heroine while he's on tour was the last straw. Both of them were crappy and unlikable. It's sad when you don't even care enough to push through a short little novella.

This is a hard review for me because I did like this story but just felt that it would have been so much better if Olivia had made it a full length book instead of a novella that will at some date have another novella written with the same characters. I'm not sure if this is just a good way to get readers hooked and buying more book's. I can say if that is the case it has worked with me because YES I will be buying and reading any and all book's written in this series.

This book had me thinking about just how hard it would be being in love with a rock star. At a couple of parts in the book I had tears running down my face. I felt Madison's pain at the thought of Adam sleeping with other woman while he was on tour. So you see this story dragged me into it emotionally.

This book also takes a look into drug addiction on Adam's behalf. How he is struggling to keep himself clean and to get his father who introduced him to drugs out of his life. These question's were not answered in the book and once again I must say for me, I really wished this book would have kept going. It's not good for me to have to wait who know's how long to get the next part of this story. By then I'll have forgotten everything I just read, not good. I have a feeling if Olivia would have just kept writing this book it would have been a 5 star read for me.

As always' Olivia brings the heat with this book. You all know I love my book's on the HOT side but for me there was way to much heat for this short of a story. It would have been fine if we would have had more story.

So this was not my favorite book by Olivia Cunning but I still liked it and I still am a huge fan of Olivia's.

What can I say...Olivia Cunning is the master when it comes to writing stories about Rock Stars. She did it again. Tempt Me was wonderful, I liked it even more than Try Me. Tempt Me was longer which I thought was great, plus this book had more romance and love in it. I always know that if I am in the mood for a sexy and steamy read, all I have to do is pick up one of her Sinners or Sole Regret books and I am thoroughly satisfied. Ms. Cunning truly knows how to write a sex scene that will burn up the pages. I am truly looking forward to the rest of this series:)

Madison and Adam were naughty naughty. I really liked them together. They equaled each other out. Madi seemed sweet and innocent in public while Adam was the bad boy, but when they got behind closed doors Adam wanted to be slow and gently but Madi turned into quiet the minx. He seemed a little more believable than her, but I still liked them well enough, but so far Gabe is still my fave member of Sole Regret. :)

This was another short and sexy read from Ms Cunning, this time featuring Sole Regret’s lead guitarist - Adam. Of course Adam is gorgeously sexy, but I was instantly smitten by him on page 1 seeing him getting all excited about seeing Madison again - his longstanding booty call while in Dallas

“He tried his damnedest not to smile like a dipshit, but it was a challenge with thoughts of Madison filtering through his head.”

Madison is, of course, desperately in love with Adam and determined that this will be her last night with him as he can’t give her the kind of relationship that she wants. Or can he???

Taking it for what it is - an erotic novella - this is an enjoyable read. Of course there is lots of smut with heaps of dirty talk, and some very graphic scenes. But there are also some funny moments and some romance thrown in along with the steam as we see Adam realise his feelings and bring the swoon, but don’t be expecting too much.

Again, the bantering between the boys in the band was superb! And we got to see some more of the dynamic between the group that will no doubt be explored more and resolved in future books.

There are some deeper issues that are touched on, and although some of it was a wee bit unrealistic, it doesn’t form a huge part of the story, and with the length of the book being what it is, you can’t expect lots of deep and meaningful.

I really enjoyed this, and looking forward to reading more about these freaking hot rock stars!!!

So, Madison is some counselor that Adam likes. And at the start, I’m quite enamored with the heroine but as the story goes on, I’m liking her less and less. I mean seriously, yes you love him and all, but acting like a douche and spineless is not appealing. People become stupid with love, and she is one of those stupid people.

Adam has addiction problems and irresponsible. He may be hot and some damn rock star and I think that kind of excuses him of his attitude. But I so not like a hero only wanting to get better because of a person, and not because he wants to do it by himself. So it was explained, but I didn't feel his struggles to get into his character. The story was too short and fast paced to be able to understand Adam and like him for him. His struggles were only told in passing and a passive way that getting into his character is impossible.

“She felt so right and real tucked against him, as if she belonged in that exact spot.”

Tempt Me is Adam and Madison’s story of passion, sex, revelations of the heart, and so much more. Adam and Madison share a strong back-story and history, which I appreciated and took to heart. But I also felt their past held and revealed a bit too much drama for one night.

Once again, Ms. Cunning delivers a HOT tale filled with all the right notes and strokes filled with naughty, fierce, fast, and sweet loving! A very sexy read when you’re in the mood or to perhaps get in the mood. ;)

Can’t wait for Shade’s turn in the spotlight. This book teases and tempts readers with his story with heated comments and tension. Count me in!

I would rate the smuttiness in this book 4 stars. Like any other Olivia Cunning book, the sex scenes were HOT!!! with copious amounts of it!!

Unfortunately I couldn't connect with the characters. The story was quite similar to the first except these have a background. It was quite predictable what would end up happening. I was curious about Adam's addiction and his father's influence but the subject was barely touched. Then at the end I was like.. 'Oh it's over????....Okaaayy'. Overall it was... meh.

I was looking forward to Adam's story but all we get is a few days of hard core sex with LOTS of talking about sex and hints at coming main conflicts. I enjoyed watching Adam evolve but his gf seems to devolve. Getting off, the harder and kinkier the better, became her mo once she and Adam get together. Her innocent/bad girl felt just like that-an act. I like watching a woman become more accepting of her sexuality but Melanie just seems to be one step away from starring in a porn. I am curious about the rest of the band and their stories but not sure if I will continue.

Tempt Me is the second book of One Night With Sole Regret series, which story about... one night with Sole Regret of course. Sole Regret is a rock band. With famous and hot to trot rock stars. In the first book,Try Me; Olivia Cunning, one of my author goddess tell the story about Gabriel "Gabe" Banner or Force, a drummer of Sole Regret with his lady love, Melanie. Love blossom in just one night. Just.One.Night. Are there any conclusion of their relationship in the second book aka this book aka Tempt Me? Nope.Nada.Zero.Zing. That's also the problem with Tempt Me. You not make a problem and not write the conclusion, JUST BECAUSE THIS ONE IS NOVELLA AND NOT A FULL-LENGTH NOVEL,WOMAN!!

*cough, cough*

Sorry, I'm just kidding, Olivia ;). But yeah, I don't like the way she write the ending. The problem with Adam's drug habit and his addict father is not solved in this one. Even this book is still sexy, I also find it not... sexy. Confused? Me too :/. The main characters, Adam Taylor, the main guitarist and Madison Fairbanks, the drug abuse consultant (okay don't know the right term, sorry) is steady couple. Had know each other for a year and always have sex each time they met. Romantic? Well, maybe that what Madi thought. Me? I can't do that, but hey, that Madison's problem. To choose with a rock star.

The first chapter is interesting and Adam already caught my heart with his adorable feeling to Madison. I always think Adam is like Brian Sinclair from The Sinners! Until, I find his drug habit. Okay, he's now clean and sober. But there's chance he will back, even he work so hard to not become addict again. For Madison. Uh huh. BUT, he admit that he got laid with another women when he's not with Madison. Even he finally feel sorry about that. Ehm, dude, that cheating. I don't like cheating in my book. Ever. The other thing that bothered me is Madison seems to eager to work up Adam. Um,long time no see make she hot and bothered, but pass border of naughty girl (maybe its harsh if I think she kinda slutty? :/) I'm a little bit disturbed.

Thing that save this book, beside the romance is just okay for me, and the sex scenes is still hot hot hot (but become a little bit boring with all that talk), is the friendship and bromance between Sole Regret member. Oh, and the stage performance part! This is why I love Olivia Cunning's books (this and The Sinner). I always love to read how she write the bromance, how each member care with their own way. For Tempt Me, there's unresolving problem between Adam and their vocalist Shade, which remind me a lot with Sed from Sinners. And of course, we don't know what exactly the problem betwen that two :/.

Final words, do I love this? Umm, I like the first book than this. Do I still want to read the next book,Take Me ? Yeah, bring it on! Hope its get better and... even just one night, please don't make unresolve problem again! :(

"Hey! Are you here to see Sole Regret?"

Damn straight I am! I have been waiting for this to come out so I can meet the other members of this rock band after falling hard for their drummer Gabe.

In true fashion Ms. Cunning does not disappoint with this new novella. Starting the next day where Try Me left off we get in the head of Adam Taylor, ROCK GOD whose fingers fly over guitar strings and frets like he was playing a woman's...wait! Give me a minute here. As I was saying, we meet Adam on the phone with sweet Madison. The girl he can't get enough of can't wait to see.

"Don't tempt me, Adam Taylor. I might just take you up on that offer."

I like the difference in Tempt Me from the first novella in this series. I found the history and chemistry that Madison and Adam already have refreshing. The name of this series is "One Night with Sole Regret" and I am finding that these one nights have the power to change everything for our band members and the lucky ladies that have caught their eyes, libido and heart.

"Of all the people he knew, she openly showed him how happy she was to see him, not because he was the lead guitarist of Sole Regret, but because she genuinely liked him for who he was. On the inside. Totally baffling."

I have fallen hard for these tattooed boys from Sole Regret who are so good at being bad! I cannot wait for Shade/Jacob's book to come out!

Another amuse-bouche from Sole Regret series by Olivia Cunning. I really like the way this series is being delivered in these "one night" portions. This one packs a good dose of drama along with a heaping dose of smexin' and glimpses inside the dynamics of the band.

Tempt Me is Adam's one-night with his girl in Dallas.

Adam's backstory and ongoing situation make for a few tense moments with Madison, whose interest in Adam is both personal and professional. Both are on the edge of a decision as to where their relationship is going, and there are some angsty moments at the start as Madison comes to terms with what it means to be involved with a rock star.

Some of the band antics are extreme, (really, who wants a boring rock band?) , and I like how their individual stories are being revealed slowly. And Ms. Cunning doesn't forget to give us a tidbit about Mel and Gabe from Try Me, and that gets some points from me.

And of course, there's plenty of lovin going on, with a nice setup for a future story. Looking forward to more!

I had been waiting for this book ever since I finished the first one. Olivia Cunning did not disappoint. While Gabe's story centered on the subsequent night after just meeting someone, Adam's was one of the many nights he had spent with the girl he can't get out of his head. She is the straight-laced substance abuse counselor who can pretty much be credited with saving his life. She takes care of him and he feels- something he can't put into words- for her. As she contemplates quitting him cold turkey because of his inability to commit or be faithful to her, he struggles with how he can live without her. He realizes he can't and that he loves her. This book is hot! Adam's girl may look 'nice' but once they're alone you see a whole other side to her. The book left me wishing it was not just one night! Because I would really like to be present for their 'performance' in New Orleans.

Okay so i totally went back on my word and read this book. I hadnt planned on it but after a friend told me about all the back door lovin I HAD to read it! ;P

I found more to this story then the sex which I actually enjoyed. Adam and Madison were super hot together!

Adam might be your typical rocker but he has a heart and that heart belongs to Madison. They dont want to acknowledge their love for one another because if you talk about it then it might scare the other away. They both have inner battles about sharing how they really feel but when its almost time for Adam to go back on tour he says the L word.

Tempt me was too short to really have a HEA but I'm hoping to see more of them in the next book. And yes I'll read the next book :)

I liked this story but i felt a bit let-down, up in the air again...just when I wanted to know how Adam and Madison's visit to the "sex club" would go...and then it was THE END....

I miss HEA's in this series...hopefully it will all come together at a later stage.........please don't let me hanging on.

Madison...with short black dress and cowboy boots.......could Adam resist her????? She's a lovable and endearing character and I am looking forward to more of this love story.

And yes, these rockers are hot....and I am beginning to fall in love with them..just like I did with Sinners!!!

Tempt Me is the 2nd installment in the One Night with Sole Regret series.
Olivia Cunning never disappoints with her tales of Erotica.
Adam & Madison are seriously kinky.
These two have an insatiable desire for each other.
Adam seems to bring out some raw desires from Madison.
She is the only woman he's ever loved and it's her love that helps keep him on the clean and sober path.
I can't wait to find out what happened between Adam & Shade and to see what happens when Maddie and Adam try exhibitionism at the sex club.

4 stars!!!

Oh, my god, the story has ended and there's so much to be resolved...I'm not sure I can wait until all the band members get their books and then Olivia swings back to Adam & Madison. The wait is going to kill me.
The issues with Shade, Adam's father, the trip to New Orleans, and Madison's ferrous sexual awakening - WOW.
Olivia I love you ... but right now - I hate this cliffhanger

Didn't do it for me. Couldn't care less for Madison e Adam's story.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I love how the boys in the band interact w/ each other. Plus we got to see a bit of Gabe and Melanie! otherwise I would have given 1 star

But I am anxious for Shade's book!

Although I am loving these stories, I'm feeling a little cheated on the lenght of the book. Only because I want, no NEED more Sole Regret. I wished the books were more like her Sinner's series. Oh well I'll take what I can get to feed my bad boy rocker obsession...
