Erik Nappies, poop and so many sleepless nights I was pretty sure in some countries this would be considered torture and my kids could be tried for war crimes.
Yep, I was now a dad. A dad who had no clue what he was doing. A dad who somehow ended up with two kids who weren't his but I fuc- er, I mean - gosh-darn I loved them.
Only... I needed help. A LOT of help. My house was a wreck and I needed sleep. Badly.
Enter Laura -- the Queen of Clean.
She had to be an apparition caused by my sleep-deprived mind. Cause god knew she was exactly what I'd always wanted in a woman, and one glance at her curves and pretty smile had me reconsidering the need for sleep.
Laura Being offered my own TV show was a dream come true. As the Queen of Clean I had an opportunity to educate people about the importance of cleanliness.
Only one look at my latest project and all I could think of was dirty, sweaty, filthy things.
Erik Larsson is tempting me with sweet murmurings, beautiful babies and a helpless need for a spotless kitchen. The man knows my weaknesses... the only problem?
I'm meant to be leaving for my next assignment at the end of the month.
The Queen of Clean doesn't stick around... right?
Warning: This hilarious read involves cute babies, gorgeously helpless men, and an appreciation for a clean house that goes over oh so well. Settle in greedy reader, you might need gloves for this delicious mess.

Its been awhile since i read a EM story besides her chapter a day on her fb group and this one is cute and fluff.. with little steam.
We saw bits of Erik and the mess/drama he got himself into he's taken in twin babies that are not his so swoon over that!! But since the twins his place has been looking messy and he needs help lucky his sister Liv has a new show that can help him organize, keep clean and all that and enters Laura shes here to save his life.. and boy he is mesmerized by her and her work skills and the way shes with his boys. As for Laura she already falling for Erik and his little boys soft looks as they clean funny moments about what he hoards.. just a cute fun story.
I wanna read Rune story he seems like a silent type.
No ow/om drama, slight secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins No manwhore celebite for 2 years

This is the first Evie Mitchell book I’ve read, presumably recommended to me because I do have a fondness for an insta-love story of which this is one.
The story comes out swinging and we’re straight into the story. And straight into confusion for me. Was I supposed to know who these people were? It definitely appeared so. So much so, that I clicked back to check I’d started on the first story in the series rather than the second. It *is* the first in this series [Thor's Shipbuilding], but it’s not until the end that I learnt that the family were first introduced in an earlier book called Thunder Thighs. Not to worry, I can cope.
With a lot of unnecessary convolutions, Erik becomes a single dad to twins. And his life implodes. His house almost does, too. Erik was a nice guy - big, strong and well, messy. He had a dirty mouth - which I liked - but other than that I can’t really tell you much about him.
Laura was a nice girl, too. I loved her drive to clean and organise - a girl after my own heart. Her reactions when she first laid eyes on Erik were amusing but again, I didn’t really feel I knew her all that much.
And that was my complaint about the story as a whole - there was a lot of tell and not a lot of show. We barely scratch the surface of these people or this story. As such, I felt little happened. A dirty man finds a clean lady, they like each other and get together. It was just missing something.
The punctuation was, well, questionable at best. It was irritatingly distracting. That and the smattering of editing errors and mistakes.
And good lord, if there wasn’t a red-headed “Scottish” bear of a man who will likely appear in a future story in this series. He was on the page very little and yet I was still cringing hard. Just no.
I enjoyed the story and read it through to the end - but it wasn’t one for me and I can’t say I’ll be picking up the rest of the series any time soon. But please read the other reviews because I seem to be the only person who had issues with the book and so you still might enjoy it more than I did. I would say 2.5 stars bumping up to 3.
I am really not ruled by babies. They're cute and all but the idea of a) growing one b) birthing one and c) raising one just doesn't appeal. I can barely deal with myself, you think I can help form a whole person? Hah. My cat's a big enough baby to deal with, thank you very much, and he doesn't even like cuddles. So, in the romance genre, babies aren't really a huge selling point for me. I don't outright reject them or resent them when they're in a story but they're not a factor I desperately need in a romance. (Plus, I hate the idea that a happy ending only involves being married and popping out kids. Hugely reductive and absolutely not true) But there is still that primordial part of my brain that loses the absolute fucking plot when a man's holding a baby. Making silly faces at it. Falling asleep with one on their chest. Yeah, I'm not immune. And apparently super not immune when Evie Mitchell's got one of her vikings cradling not one, but two in his galleon-sized arms. Jesus fucking Odin, my ovaries were in serious fucking danger all the way through this. Erik Larsson is dangerous to the human condition and he's not even bloody real. Too much sweetness, Mitchell, too much!
Or just enough, let's go with just enough...
Ps. Rune... mysterious Rune. I wanna know your deal.
Single parent with twins that aren't even his. That's crazy. I loved it. I really liked the development of the relationship. It's a short read and it was great.
I really enjoyed this story. Erik and Laura were a fantastic couple and I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed naturally. They both liked each other and they came together naturally. The family dynamic was fun to read about and I liked how his sister recognized that they were falling for each other.
They had good chemistry and when they finally came together the heat level was 🔥🔥🔥. I would definitely recommend this book.
I liked this book more than the previous one in the series, I think because the relationship had a bit more time to develop. I would have rated it higher, but there were enough typos (even a different spelling of a character’s name from last book to this one: Sune to Suen) that became distracting. It also seemed like the story of how Erik ended up with the babies changed from the last book to this one. I think the diverse stories that Mitchell is telling in the romance genre are important and I hope she is able to get an editor to help make sure those stories are shown to be as important as they are.
Each and every book about this family is better than the ladt.
I love love love single daddy Erik (I mean helllooooo dadfy lol) I liked that he isn't the perfect dad, he doesn't get all crappy when help is offered. He is the perfect guy for Laura, perfect dad for his boys.
I adored seeing more of Gunnar and Ella. Adore the fanily dynamics, and want to read more
OMG!! This is so cute, this single dad just melted my heart!! I’m in love with this family, everyone is just so unique. The instalove just hit the spot right on!! The light hearted vibe makes it so easy to read, so light and warm!! Like always, the short story was fine but I would love a full 300 page book but okay. The ending was adorable!
This one was the story of Eric, Gunnar's brother from Thunder Thigh. Just like Gunnar, Eric was a true definition of alpha gentleman H; sweet and caring but look gruff on the outside. He met the clean Goddess, who helped him organized since he's overwhelmed with domestic duties of getting two twin babies (yup, getting not having). The overall story was sweet and swooning with lots of fluffy and swooning scenes.
No virgin No contraception mentioned Single dad with twin, career independent h No drama/angst No OM/OW, Just an ex who met & mentioned in passing HEA, safe read Overall score: 4 sweet swooning romance stars
Short, sweet, sexy. This is a fun short story, full of instalove and all of the good sexy feels that I like in a novella. My only issue is that while it shows in the title that it's book one in a series, it's apparently a spin off from another series and feels at times like you've been set down in the middle of someone else's family reunion without knowing the cast of characters.
A Cute and Sentimental Tale of Ovary Exploding Sweetness...
"Clean Sweep” is another example of the kind of light-hearted, yet deeply sentimental short stories author Evie Mitchell has perfected. It is a beautiful illustration of her special brand of intelligent storytelling that firmly plugs into your sense of home and gives you the feels in all the right places.
Here, as Mitchell once again steps away from Capricorn Cove, we are gifted the story of Erik and Laura. Erik being the brother of Gunner (the delicious Viking who woo’d Ella off her feet waaay back in, “Thunder Thighs”), who with him, is half owner of the family business, Thor’s Shipbuilding. He is a kind and charming bloke, a man who in a twist of unexpected fate, is gifted twin boys by a former employee and becomes an instant father overnight. And Laura Sweep, a caring and genuine woman, known as the Queen of Clean, after her part in her family’s cleaning business leads to social media fame and a popular television show produced by Erik’s sister, Liv. What follows is an ovary exploding tale of a man’s love for his adopted sons and a family’s love for said man. It is a story about how everyone around Erik rallies to help him when the chaos of his new life begins to overtake him. And how the one person brought in to help him the most sees him for who he truly is, a kind, gentle, loyal, albeit a bit lost and overwhelmed single dad. A sight that has her falling in love bit by messy bit.
Once again Mitchell offers us something as humorous as it is sentimental, while also reminding us that true family isn't always blood. Here again she brilliantly pens a female lead who is strong, independent, and successful in her own right. A woman whose strength and sincerity mirrors that of her love interest, a man her equal in every way. And it is a story that would have been another bit of Mitchell perfection had it not been for the vague and almost nonexistent beginning to it all.
As the reader, you are brought into this book with a prologue that barely covers the most basic elements surrounding how Erik comes into fatherhood. You are pushed at quick speed through a series of sentences that refers to an employee never fleshed out beyond quick, shadowy references. And bring you full circle into said employee handing him over her two babies through the Capricorn Cove sheriff. Then it skips headlong into the rest of the book without so much as a backward glance, which for me, left such a rushed, unsettled bunch of questions in my head I couldn’t fully settle into the book.
Additionally, a bit further on in the book there are references to concerns and worries on Eric’s part about actions his sister takes. Concerns that lead you to believe perhaps things aren’t as settled with the birth mother as the prologue leads you to believe. Plot points that were all far too simplistic and casual, something very much out of character for the typically detail oriented and multilayered storyteller Mitchell is.
In the end, despite its quiet and heartfelt beauty, this one felt rushed and not quite complete. Leaving me with more questions than answers, and feeling perplexed at the circumstances behind it all.
Clean Sweep by Evie Mitchell—what an absolute heart-thumper of a read. Let’s talk about Erik here, because this man is a simp in the best, most wholesome way possible. The second Laura walks into his messy, sleep-deprived world, he’s smitten, no holding back. He’s lying there at night, practically counting all the ways he’d love for her to stay forever, and honestly? Relatable. This guy is full-on gone for her—the attraction is instant and mutual, and it’s so perfectly chaotic.
Now, the scene that took my heart out and stomped on it? It’s the middle of the night, the twins Leif and Ulf are up and fussing, and Laura steps in to help calm them. Erik watches her with this mix of awe and exhaustion, and I think my heart melted. The way little Leif just snuggles into her like she’s always been “Mom”—it’s the sweetest, quietest “found family” moment. Then Laura sends Erik off to bed, promising she’s got everything under control, and he’s hit with all the feels. (And so am I!) You just know that this woman is about to transform his life in ways he didn’t even realize he needed. You need this woman and you know it Erik! Seize the chance when you get it!😉
And Laura? Laura is everything. She’s got that “cheerfully capable” energy and can handle anything thrown at her—babies, mess, and, yes, even Erik. From the moment she steps in, she’s not just cleaning Erik’s house; she’s lighting up his life with her humor, her warmth, and her way of making the chaotic somehow feel calm. And the way she bonds with Leif and Ulf? Cue my heart swelling a little more every time she steps in to help, like it’s all second nature. It’s no wonder Erik’s head over heels—she’s practically made for his world.
Also, the man is seriously losing it over Laura’s curves and her entire vibe. He’s fighting his “fatherly” instincts and his…well, very not fatherly 👀instincts, and it’s hilarious. That scene where she’s wearing those sleep shorts? Erik’s inner simp is fully unleashed. He can’t get enough of this “cheerfully capable” goddess in his house, rocking his babies to sleep and making his life a thousand times better. You know, when he’s not completely *coughs thoroughly* thwarted by the I-sound-like-a-car-crashing-because -I-need-your-attention-Daddy-sounds coming from the baby monitor.
It’s like Mitchell wanted to make my heart and my funny bone team up against me. And let me say, this is my second Larsson Siblings book, and it was amazing to meet Ella and Gunnar again. This family dynamic is everything, and I am all in for the rest of the siblings. Give me every single Larsson, Evie Mitchell—I’m here for all the laughs, the love, and the chaos they bring! This book may be 96 pages, but it’s jam-packed with all the sweetness, heat, and humor you could ask for. If you want a romance that’s equal parts spicy and heart-melting, where every character feels like a friend (or a crush), Clean Sweep is the one. Evie Mitchell, you seriously did something special here.
P.S. The little Viking surprise was too good!❤️❤️❤
—Erik, ¿has estado pensando en cómo sería dormir conmigo? Erik no me besó, me devoró.
—Mmm, no estábamos destinados a serlo.
—No te vi venir, Erik Larsson. —¿Es eso algo malo? —No, definitivamente no. —Te amo, Laura. —Yo también te amo.
—¿Seguro que quieres unirte a este manicomio? Todavía hay tiempo para huir. —No, estás atrapado conmigo ahora. —Gracias, jod.. jolines—.
This is Erik’s book, younger brother to Gunnar from Thunder Thighs.
I really enjoyed this book. It has insta-love and insta-love, but everything doesn’t move at hyper speed. We get to know Erik as well as Laura and we get to see them fall in love. I especially loved how Erik loved his twin boys, Ulf and Leif, which was very I interesting how they came to be in his life. I would have liked more information on their mother and why she did what she did. Laura was so sweet and funny especially her inner thoughts when she first meets Erik. When the Queen of Clean meets the Messy Single Father, it packed quite a punch.
The only things that bothered me about the book was the lack of information on the twins’ mother; and when Erik bumps into his ex and allows her to be a total buttmole to them without saying anything to her.
I loved the epilogue it was so cute and steamy, but what I loved the most is that Laura didn’t have to give up her family to have a career and vice-versa.
I can’t wait to learn to more about the youngest brother, Rune, he seemed very interesting. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for Liv and Ian ;)
🎄Erik is a very single guy when he gets a surprise on Christmas Day. It’s the sheriff at his door with two newborn babies. The twin boys have been left by their mother, a woman who temped at his boat building business two years ago.
🍼Faced with giving the boys up for adoption or adopting them himself, the big softie changes his life in a 360 for the cuties.
🧼Except things at home are a bit out of control until Erik’s sister sends Laura Sweep, the queen of clean, to come and help him sort out his house. The two find each other irresistible, and despite the circumstances, they will find a way to make it work.
📚Evie Mitchell has created a series of short and sweet novellas, this one being book two that I am finally getting around to reading. I enjoyed how uncomplicated the romance between Erik and Laura is, how effortlessly both are about falling in love with each other and the twins. Erik’s family is so supportive, kind and caring, you can see how he is like he is. It’s a sweet and short read that made me smile.
This cute, super quick romance novel by a new-to-me author was incredibly sweet and enjoyable to read if a little requiring of suspension of disbelief. The premise is that shipbuilding company boss, Erik, randomly (and I say this literally) becomes a father of twins and is dramatically overwhelmed till cleaning influencer, TV star and basically the Queen of Clean, Laura, steps in to sort out Erik’s disgusting house on her tv show. I liked the fact that the main characters were both incredibly nice and uncomplicated people that were both on the surface and deep down, eminently deserving of one another. I enjoyed that Laura didn’t have to sacrifice her career and that Erik was as supportive as a partner should be. The family was a little over the top and I’m not sure about the Viking branding but I enjoy a series and this promises to be cute and sexy and uncomplicated.
