This isn't the normal type of book that I read but I really enjoyed it. Dane and Drake are a couple already, they've been together since high school. I especially like that we even get a steamy love scene with just the two of them. Well, they have both been in love with Blue for years. After spending a decade in the navy, certain circumstances that I won't give away have changed and they've decided to come back to Capricorn Cove and finally tell Blue that they love her and want to be with her. I really liked this because there was no jealousy between the three of them and there was no judgement from the town, it was low drama and just a nice thruple love story.

This romance was hinted at in the first book of the series and when an outsider wondered if the town would be okay with such a relationship it was blown off with the explanation that this town had been started as a love commune. I thought that was great and I'm looking forward to more non-traditional romances in this series!

DOUBLE THE D was dirty, sexy, and also surprisingly sweet. Blue, Drake, and Dean all knew each other as teenagers when Blue's parents were fostering Drake and Dean. Drake and Dean became a couple and then enlisted in the military after turning 18 and have since disappeared from Blue's life. Years later they've returned home with the plan of winning Blue's heart and bringing her into their relationship.

Heavy on the sex and light on plot, DOUBLE THE D was insta-love, fast paced, and a lot of fun to read. All the characters were really likable and though Blue has a few moments of being self-conscious she's overall a confident and independent woman. Drake and Dean were fairly similar in personality but that's about what I would expect for a such a short read.

These three knew of eachother since they all grew up together ber parents owning the foster care Drake and Dane were in..
Blue has always had a crush on them but was shy and didn't think they didn't want her. So she kept to herself until one night when they were younger they had a breif moment...

But Drake and Dane they wanted to make sure they had money and good things for when they bring Blue into their little mix even more.. so they left.. taking her heart with them..

I gotta admit i didnt enjoy these guys being less alpha... when it came to their girl.. they stayed away for so long because of the parents.. and was disappointed Blue didn't get alittle upset at them taking away her choice (at 18) if she wanted to be with them.

And boy... when they go after her.. they go after whats theirs.. but they also have fun together ;) as they wait for Blue..

No ow/om (only a bully and few mentions of date she had) No cheating, slight secondary charas, sexy times, no virgins

I was excited to read this. MMF is one of my absolute favorites.... but sadly, this isn't one of them. It could have been good, but it fell short. Everything felt glossed over and rushed. Even the spicy scenes.

Sweet and Sexy Poly Story

This is the second in this series but can be read as a standalone. This book is about Blue, Dane and Drake. Dane and Drake were fostered together by Blue’s parents when they were teenagers. They’ve been lovers ever since, but they always wanted Blue. They joined the Marines when they turned 18 and have only just come back 12 years later.

When Dane and Drake left it hurt Blue but she understood. When they didn’t come back, despite their promises, she was devastated. Now Dane and Drake are back and she wants to avoid them at all costs. Dane and Drake are not letting her run away because now they have made something of themselves they can all have a life together.

Though technically this isn’t an insta-love book because they all were sort of together as teenagers, it has a similar vibe to it. The men sweep Blue off her feet and she’s pretty happy about it. There doesn’t seem to be much working through their problems. They explain why they never came back and she accepts it. She’s a little too forgiving for my tastes.

Other than that the characters are 2 dimensional, which isn’t unexpected as it’s a novella and there isn’t a great deal of time for in-depth character building. They are still likeable though.

There’s plenty of steam in this polyamorous relationship, but there’s also plenty of love and affection too.

This is a short and sweet book that you can devour in one sitting.

Quick, sweet and spicy. The author did a great job of telling so much back story in so few pages. My only complaint is I often couldn’t tell if Drake or Dane was talking but that might have just been a me problem.

Los libros de Evie Mitchell nunca me fallan, veamos este probablemente no sea su mejor libro ya que tiene algo de romance en el smut pero siempre me ayudan cuando estoy en bloqueo y no sé que leer so se le agradece.

Es súper cortito y la verdad si está entretenido, 2 chicos que han sido novios por años, se enamoraron de 1 chica desde jóvenes pero se fueron a la marina y no se volvieron a ver hasta años después y boom muchoooo sex0 pero estuvo aceptable probablemente para la mayoría este medio cringe pero me salvó de mi crisis jajajaja

Aparte de que siempre se le agradece a Evie la representación plus-size/curvy que da en la mayoría de sus libros❤️

Gahhhhh... I loved this so much. From the moment that I read that first chapter of Drake/Dane’s POV (can’t remember which one it was first) and the scene where they were together... just yes.

Blue is a curvy girl so a big plus sign for that. And add 2 guys wanting her? Yes plz. They liked her since she was 16 and they were 18 and were prepared to be with her when she turned 18 but there was an issue (no spoilers) and they backed off. But things changed when they moved back 10 years later and were prepared to do everything it took to get her to be with them.

I absolutely loved the epilogue. This was a short story so not much time to get connected to the characters but I can’t really describe the reason why this book did it for me. It just did.

I hope we get to see a glimpse of these 3 in the next books of this series because I just loved them all together so much. ❤️

Well that was a cute & spicy novella! And I do mean novella - it was less than 100 pages, so we were flying through this plot, but what else would you expect for 85ish pages? And let’s get another thing clear.. This was like 80% spice and 20% plot. So set those expectations appropriately.

Otherwise, I liked all of the main characters. The whole relationship dynamic made sense and they all fit together nicely.

There WERE a few lines that made me cringe, but I can overlook them since this was a novella.

I LOVED this!!!! It was a very spicy threesome novella. Definitely recommend it if you’re into smut!
Bluebell walks in on Dane and Drake sucking each other off. They invite her to join them, which she greedily accepts. They’re her adoptive siblings. They fall in love with each other and have a family at the end - 2 kids and twins on the way!

the premise had potential but I wish there was more time to flesh out the characters and build tension. as much as time jumps can be annoying, that could have worked for their story and really added to the burn. still good though!
