My name is Collins Knight, or at least it was, once upon a time. I've been married to Nicholas Del Laurentis for nearly a decade, yet we've spent that time residing in different houses, different countries, ignoring the reality of our arranged marriage.
That was until I decided I wanted a baby. Nick won't divorce me so I'm left with no other option. It's time to invoke the Mrs Clause of our marriage contract.
My wife has no idea what she's asking. A baby? Oh, I can help with that. But she's opened the door now, and I'm not about to let her close it again.
This Christmas it's time to unwrap my favorite gift - one piece of clothing at a time.
Warning: Dearest reader, this arranged marriage novella is filled with jingling bells, unusual uses for candy canes, surprise gifts and a jolly St Nick who knows how to handle his chimney. So, get thee a Santa Baby and settle in - this sexy holiday romance will leave you hovering under the mistletoe.

"Why did you do it, Collins? Why did you leave? You never even gave me that." He turned, his gaze searing. "You owe me that much." "Because you never loved me,"
Here's what this book had: marriage in trouble, second chance, lots of baby making, short, quick, smutty but not anything worth remembering.
Ill be honest at first i disliked nick.. like the way he acted i was this is why your wife left you you were always focused on work. But when you dive more it was both of their faults. Nick and Collins never talked about their problems they both just assumed the other fell out of love. Thats what cost them their relationship Nick always working thinking he had to make money to keep them happy and be a yes man, as for Collins she thought her husband never loved her when she overheard a group of men with him in it not defend her. So yeah both assuming the worse... they are living seperate lives still married.. just apart. now that Collins wants a baby these problems come out and they finally talk and work together to fix their relationship.
I honestly wish it didnt take them 5 years to fix this problem..
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Tiny drama, sexy times, no virgins or manwhore

THE MRS. CLAUSE has quite the wild set up and it really feels more like a moment in time for this couple but it was super sexy and emotional. Collins and Nick had an arranged marriage meant to tie their families businesses together. But shortly after their wedded bliss Nick starts to pull away and Collins is convinced it's because he doesn't love her. She leaves but they remain married, though estranged, for 5 years until Collins shows back up in London hoping to have a baby.
All their problems are based on some pretty terrible miscommunications in the past but I was happy to see these two reconcile. They've never stopped loving each other and both have been completely faithful but they're lonely without the other. I will say that even with the short length this felt fairly full in story and Mitchell still includes a decent amount of time for the emotional connection to heal, not just the physical one.
This was steamy, spicy and a great time! I'm finding that when it comes to christmas romances, my perfect length is a novella, or right around 100 pages. This gives me a glimpse into their story, through the lens of Christmas, without getting over run with the sugary sweetness of christmas romances.
Stars: 4 Length: Lunch Break Read POV: Dual Series: Capricorn Cove Book 4 (Stand Alone but Connected) Ending: HEA Re-read? No
“He thought I'd left. Finally comprehending his panic, my heart melted, my body moving to throw myself at him. He caught me, crushing me to his chest. "You can't leave," he whispered hoarsely, his voice breaking. "You can't fucking leave me again."
I usually really don’t enjoy second chance romances and steer far away from them. Since I’m going through this Capricorn Cove series I didn’t seem to have a choice. It wasn’t as bad as I feared. I think that’s mostly due to the fact that they broke up over a misunderstanding and neither had ever gotten over the other. I mean, Nick has straight up been pining for Collins and basically lives in a shrine to her. With those things, it made for an interesting read and I’m glad i didn’t skip it due to my prejudice against second chance love stories.
This wasn’t my favorite storyline. Nick and Collins (female, btw) had been married for awhile through an arranged marriage and we find out a bit later in the story that they did love each other... but Collins left Nick because she thought that he didn’t love her. He would stay late at the office and basically ignore her any other time so she felt he was pulling away from her.
Five years later and she decides she wants a baby so she shows up and asks Nick to donate his sperm so she can do IVF. He says no, for them to do it the regular way and have sex.
So they do that and reconnect. The next morning they decide to finally confront the issue and figure out what happened between them - why Nick pulled away and why Collins left. It was some stupid shit and could’ve been figured out if they had just talked to each other. And they basically ignored the problem for 5 years. 🙄🙄
Sure, the epilogue was cute and ended in an HEA but damn. Talk about not communicating whatsoever. Idk, this is like a 2.5⭐️ read for me. The writing style was great but not my favorite plot.
Wow this one is full of emotion. I was all over the place with anger, sadness, hopefulness, smiles and tears of joy. Woooo ok so Evie Mitchell is a new to me author and while this is the first story of hers that I have read it will definitely not be the last!
A second chance romance done right! This book shows us how easy it is to let a very small misunderstanding and a lack of communication keep you from your true love for 5 years. I'm so glad that they finally figured it out and got their Happily Ever After.
This one is completely safe and free of any kind of abuse, cheating and ow/om drama. Neither one was with anyone else in the time they were apart. There was too much love for that!
Just like everyone else on the planet, Christmas causes me stress. Big stress. Hiding from my family stress. It makes my anxiety vibrate itself into apoplexy and generally makes me want the whole fucking thing over and done with. Thus, I need escapeage. And my greatest escape is, and will always be, reading. It's magic. Actual magic. I read and I don't exist, only the story does. Tell me that isn't sorcery, I dare you.
So... currently I'm beyond stressed and I need, need, a little seasonal filth to go along with my current Mercy Thompson addiction (read her, she's an ass-kicking delight). And Kati Wilde doesn't have a Christmas book this year ← so fucking sad about this. So, I needed someone to fill the Wilde void. Someone reliably cute and awesome and filthy. ... I've only read one other Evie Mitchell story (the Thor-tastic, Thunder Thighs) but I knew without question, she was the woman for the job. I'm still stressed, and grumpy, and running away periodically from my unbelievably understanding family but now I have an added squishy feeling inside. It's made up of alpha-mallows and vulnerable, confident heroines, and a whole bushel of smut. ...
This was the goddamn cutest. And Evie Mitchell? You're delightful.
The premise was good, the execution not so much. It’s a novella and the author couldn’t quite make up her mind on what she wanted this book to be about.
Also this as not a BBW romance at all. She has slightly full breasts and that’s about it.
Too many ideas/tropes crammed into one novella and it just doesn’t work. This also lead the characters, especially the hero, to turn into a completely different person, even the way they talked.
Maybe a full novel by the author would be better, given she’d have more time to flush out ideas.
Everything was fine until the first steamy scene. After that, the rest of the book felt repetitive and, honestly… a bit boring. Not because the story lacked potential—it definitely had it—but because the second half felt rushed and underdeveloped. I think this could have landed much better if the pacing had been handled with more care.
Sexy And short. Just the way I like them. These books are brilliant to read between longer books and never fail to give you the warm and fuzzies. Loved it.
