She knows how to unravel secrets, but getting to the bottom of this one might just kill her.

Magic is for fools, television news reporter Caitlyn believes. And she's no fool. She's determined to prove master illusionist Shay a fake. Somehow though, with Shay the lines between magic and reality blur. Perhaps it's his charisma, or being in Ireland with him, but now she's dreaming of a magical place. One that seems oddly familiar. . .

Shay hides a terrible secret. He's to blame for Caitlyn's separation from her family and the world she doesn't remember. She must go home to the Sidhe, and to recover his honor, he must be the one to bring her. He'll willingly lose everything he is to help her break the curse binding her. But time is of the essence--the old evil has surfaced. He must make Caitlyn believe in magic, and his love, before she becomes its prey.

For all my life, I've daydreamed. Hero meets heroine, falls in love, and lives happily ever after. The problems that occur in their relationship are over come, melding their hearts together.

My writing tries to capture their essences.

If you love romance with magic, fantasy and memorable characters then you and I have a lot in common.

Good reporters deal in facts and Caitlyn wants to make a name for herself as a good reporter, but there are dues to pay on the way to the top. When one of the entertainment world’s most reclusive and biggest names in the industry offers an exclusive interview, but only if Caitlyn is the reporter, well, what can a girl do? Does it matter that said superstar is an ultra-hot, ultra amazing illusionist-I mean magician, and Caitlyn just happens to think there is no such thing as magic, or that it’s all fake? What better opportunity to uncover the mystic of Shay Evers and expose him as a fraud? Off to his castle in Ireland, she goes. Is it the magical tales that surround Ireland or is it Shay, himself, but the lines between Caitlyn’s world of facts and Shay’s world of magic begin to overlap in Caitlyn’s dreams. Try as she might to deny it, the man behind the magician is getting under her skin and finding a place in her heart. But there is more here than the story Caitlyn has come to write, and it involves her and a terrible wrong that must be made right before it’s too late-and the clock is ticking.

Enchanted by Judith Leger is a tale of love, deceit, and discovery written with the author’s own special brand of magic. Ms. Leger has waved her magic wand and conjured up characters with depth, scenes with brilliant beauty and a plot that is rich in romance, intrigue and fantasy. I lost contact with my world and connected completely with the world laid out before me. The tale flows along with ease as each layer is uncovered and the mists of illusion fade away. I guess you could say, I was Enchanted with this novel.

I was given this book in exchange for my honest review as part of the Making Connections /Judith Leger Blog Tour July 22-28, at Tome Tender.

Who among us has not, at some point in our lives, whether as a youth or an adult, held a crush on some special person and secretly hoped that person would enchant us and fulfill our dreams? With Enchanted, you can accomplish that dream through its characters.

This book had a special draw for me, because it involves both magic and the country of Wales, which is the setting for most of the story, and because my paternal ancestor, William, immigrated to the American Colonies from Wales about 250 years ago. There are still many there today with my surname. Additionally, in my teens I was quite fond of the art of legerdemain, that is, the performing of illusions---magic, if you will. The leading male character, Shay Evers, is portrayed as a master illusionist, and women everywhere are enchanted by him.

Enchanted is rich with magic and romance. I have not been a reader of romance, so I had some concerns that this book might turn me fifty shades of red; however, my fears were unfounded. Oh, perhaps just a little red--but not too much. Enchanted allows you to escape to a storybook world of love, peril, self-discovery, and most of all, fantasy. I enjoyed it very much, and I’m sure you will, too.

If you are looking for a fun fanciful story than Enchanted is the book for you.

Caitlyn is a reporter and lands the biggest interview of her career with Shay Evers. He is a world famous illusionist from Ireland. She will travel there to try to uncover his secrets. Caitlyn quickly falls under his spell and starts having intense dreams of him and her in a magical world. What she doesn't know is that world really does exist. Will she learn the truth about its existence and her place there?

Judith Leger has a way of capturing your imagination and drawing you into the fantasy world she creates through her vivid details. I enjoy the journey she leads me on, and I am sad when the journey comes to an end. I highly recommend this story and will be looking forward to more from her.

I was given this copy by publisher free for review. I love love love this book.

While reading the book I never wanted to put it down.It reminded me so much of a fairy tale and I got to be in it.

The story starts out about a reporter who gets to do the interview of her career. The problem is she is interviewing a magician and the last thing Caitlyn believes in is magic.

The story was well written and the characters made you feel like you were in the story too....This is one author, I so want to read more of.....

Enchanted Judith Leger.

Available from Sept 3rd 2012 as ebook.
I was given this copy by publisher free for review, but as always on the basis that my opinion is honestly held, and whether paid for or free my views are not influenced by that. Integrity is important to me and gushing false reviews do neither author or reader any favours. As always my views are what I honestly feel about this book.
Caitlyn is a TV news reporter hoping to build up her career. Magic isn't real she believes so when she's offered the chance to stay at the home of star illusionist Shay Evers she jumps at the chance to see him in a different environment convinced she'll be able to pick up where he's faking it and expose him. However she hadn't factored in how she would feel about her growing attraction to him. Shay has his own secrets from her, he's in love with her and there's just two weeks left to break a curse bringing her death – but she has to go home to another realm to solve it and believe that magic is real. Its a tough order for him and his mysterious friend Rhys. As the story unfolds secrets become unravelled yet sometimes they just lead to even more confusion. Caitlyn faces danger from sources anxious to ensure she doesn't break the curse.

I enjoyed this book, it will appeal to adults and teens alike with its blend of magic and romance. Its fits well within the paranormal romance genre having a second “realm” where magic is normal linked to the conventional world. Most of the action takes place here in this world but we see enchanting glimpses of the other realm throughout the book. Its written in 3rd person POV and easy to follow. The descriptions of the magical enchanted events are simply beautiful and I could visualise the places so well. Caitlyns dresses especially were simply breathtaking in the way the were verbally drawn.

The characters were well described visually but I seemed unable to fully empathise with them – I’m not sure why, maybe its just because I could “see” them but I couldn't really understand them – we didn't get enough about them as people, their hopes, fears, emotions etc. Shay appears as a lovely, caring, generous character, easy to fall in love with, but we don't really learn much about the other characters, his friend Rhys, Caitlyn – and as she's a main character we need to know her in depth, and her friend Marcy. Given that they were such close friends there was little interaction between Caitlyn and Marcy in Wales, and when there were accidents I’d have expected more concern for each other rather than the “oh gosh you could have died!” and then going off to do something unnecessary. If it was my friend I’d have wanted to be with them constantly.

The book ticks all my usual boxes for a five star, its fantasy/paranormal romance, a good length at 223 pages, well edited and pretty error free, good plots and dramatic events and excellent value at $5.99. There's a good mix of both text and dialogue to keep it interesting. If only I could have taken more to the characters and really cared about what happened to them I'd have given it five stars but somehow I felt too detached from them to get really involved. Maybe a bit more about them personally would have made it more lifelike for me – I have to feel “part” of the book to really enjoy and give five stars. This one gets four stars for the reasons I've written. I feel a bit bad for that as clearly the author has taken a lot of time and trouble over this book, and I’m sure other people will rate it higher.

Why did I initially picked up this book?
The answer would be - pretty cover and interesting blurb. (Yeah..yeah..I have finally learnt the lesson...Do NOT judge a book by its cover or blurb..!)

What I felt about the book after having read it?

Its a very predictable and superficial book.
There were several instances when I felt that there was a lack of adequate information, like:

There is no information about how Caitlyn really did end up with the alcoholics whom she considers her real/biological parents. Gwyneth abducted her and poof ! She's in human world with alcoholic parents..??
There is no real mention of Caitlyn's childhood ...random information about Caitlyn's childhood are found here and there scattered all over in the book..making it very confusing.

How did her friendship with Marcy come about?

What was all that about making her believe and not getting her anxious..?? No reason stated. Its often mentioned that she won't survive otherwise..but why won't she? . Actually, it was kind of irritating, ridiculous and hilarious, all at the same time that everyone kept on making her go to sleep the moment she got anxious, even in the least !

The plot seemed to be entirely too predictable at times. Marcy role was predictable. The solution to the riddle was entirely too predictable !

The writing was pretty bland...no emotional descriptions...nothing!

When Rhys(Caitlyn's father) meets Caitlyn for the first time after her abduction, he displayed no emotion in that regard whatsoever towards her...no watching her tenderly..no heaviness in voice...etc...actually, there is no emotion mentioned at all..!!

also,

How do mothers react when they hear that their long lost daughters have been found..??
They don't even try and visit...even by making an excuse??

So, my friends, here goes my another failed attempt at grabbing a decent book..!

This was a very sweet love story with a fairy-tale type atmosphere. Of course there were bad guys who were trying to mess with the happy ending. There was plenty of magic to make you love the setting.

An absolutely beautifully written story of magic and belief! TV news reporter Caitlyn is stunned when her boss tells her world-famous magician Shay has asked for her to be the one person to interview him. She has no idea Shay has been searching for her for twenty-four years. Caitlyn is, in actuality, a princess of the fairyland, the Sidhe, who was cursed, kidnapped, and brought to the earth world as an infant. Now, Shay will have to convince the hard-eyed realist to believe in magic before her twenty-fifth birthday so that she can return to her homeland and solve the riddle that will break the curse, or else she'll die. Filled with wonderful imagery and great passion, this book was a page-turner. My only disappointment is that I felt the ending came too fast. A lovely keeper of a romance!
