What a champion.

I remember hearing about Seabiscut as a young child, my grandmother told me stories about him and what a great horse he was, she saw him once on the California ranch. Reading this story now brought tears to my eyes, what a great heart he had, not many this day and age can follow him except Secretariat who I watched on TV ride to victory on all three of his races to win the Triple Crown. Reading this book now and I'm age 63 brought back so many good memories.

A different take.

This book just covers Biscuits story, not the whole Howard and Smith story too. I found it interesting to read a different aspect to the horses story.

Originally published in 1940, the book tells the story of Seabiscuit in the words of his time, with all the joy and inspiration the little, determined racehorse evoked.
