Mighty Men: The Starter’s Guide to Leading Your Family

Rate this book
Christian men often find the task of family leadership so daunting, we withdraw from it into distant uninvolvement. It can leave one’s wife and children with the impression that a man doesn’t care enough to lead or doesn’t want to. But the heart of the problem often is that we’re intimidated by realizing we simply don’t have the basic tools. Mighty Men is a booklet that can change that. Many Christian men today had little or no training for the role we now find ourselves in. This book provides a “starter kit” for men reluctant to take the reins of spiritual leadership in their homes. It shows the path to imitating Christ in loving, servant headship to those family members who look to us!
“This booklet addresses a profound problem in 21st-century evangelism – getting husbands engaged in family leadership. John Crotts has given us a practical outline that will help in filling this void. The encouragements of this booklet are clear, concise, and doable. The focus on God’s enabling power will be an encouragement to every reader.” — Tedd Tripp, author of Shepherding a Child’s Heart and Instructing a Child’s Heart “John Crotts is my pastor, and because I know him and his wife Lynn, I know that he writes from first-hand experience. Mighty Men gives an excellent and clear overview of what men need to know to be spiritual leaders in their homes. It is written with humor, clear Scriptural guidelines, and insightful illustrations. This small book is packed with practical tips for the man desiring to lead his family and honor God in the process. I highly recommend this book.” — Martha Peace, author of The Excellent Wife “John Crotts addresses a frequently neglected but important issue in a succinct and practical way. In this brief guide, husbands, fathers, and young men preparing for those roles can begin to find footing for their leadership in the home.” — Don Whitney, Professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky, and author of Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life and numerous other books.

Solid booklet! I really thought this was scripturally sound and challenging for men! I really liked it. I May teach from portions of it and buy it for our men to read. It’s short and clear.
