I Read this for ideas on how to explain autism to my five year old son who is on the spectrum. It's a good jumping off point for people who don't know anything about autism and would like to know more.

Im hoping I can take some of the simpler language and simply explained concepts to talk to my son about his autism. See what he understands and what he has questions about.

I would recommend this to parents whose child has just been diagnosed, to a friends and family of a child on the spectrum, and a child's classmates (perhaps if the child is at least 8 or 9 years old) any younger I would suggest a more colorful book with cartoon characters instead of this book.
