Nora coaxes her younger cousin Brendan to climb a mountain, but when she gets stuck in a cave at the top, it is her turn to be frightened while Brendan comes to her aid
This book is about a boy named Brendan and a girl named Nora who decided they wanted to climb. Brendan was scared to go up so high. Nora was scared when she got stuck in the cave. Both children went ahead and had to deal with the sign of fear. The lesson in this book is there are times you will be scared and you have to work through those pieces.
What an adventure! The story and plot kept me on my toes as I read through the pages. The illustration was unque and I liked the bond between the bother and sister. I think this would be a great book to read to the kids, but it is long.
This was a good book. It was about a little girl and boy who go for a climb up a mountain near their home. The little girl decides to play a trick on the little boy but she ends up getting hurt a little.
This was a nice little book. I don't know if it's one I could keep in my classroom. I would say it would be better for older kids since it's wordy and not very engaging illustrations. It is a cute story though.
Great story behind this book. This story is about two children facing their own fears. However, the book also teaches kids not to wander off without an adult.
This book may be a little long for younger students but it has such an amazing plot. I think this book would be perfect for older students. The climb is about a brother and sister who decide to climb a mountain next to their house. Throughout the story, their bond grows as they bicker as siblings do. If this was to read to younger students, I would use it as a read-aloud to them, but I do think this book should be read (or read to) by everyone.

Well this one is a question mark. I liked the story, but the pictures...well it was published in 1980 and we have come a LONG way from from the drab browns and greys of publishing...I think it had some updated pictures it could be a more interesting book!.
