This 1978 published thriller set at London's Heathrow airport and onboard a 747 is an exciting read and begs the question why are there so few ratings on goodreads?!
On board the plane are four Israeli diplomats who have just made themselves very unpopular with the Arab world and at Heathrow three terrorists (the Terminal 3 mentioned in the title) are planning an unpleasant reception for the plane.
Rather than follow one or two characters, Miller choses to write the book from the perspective of a number of protagonists including terrorists, CIA agents, air stewardesses, bit part actor and the head of the Air Traffic Control. This technique works well, especially as his characters are well-rounded with fleshed out personalities.
There is a fair amount of action but what was particularly pleasing is some nice bits of dialogue as well as mature look at some of the issues around Israel, sexism and racism.
If you can get a copy of this thriller, which is a nice length at 236 pages, you won't be disappointed!
