A good pre-teen / young adult adventure novel. The moral of the story is the creation of an indomitable spirit and uses the backdrop of Ninpo lore to convey the message. I think any action oriented young adult will enjoy this story. It has a little of everything in it. A few minor critiques - 1) The editing is poor. A number of misspelled words and poorly formed sentences, but nothing so major you can't figure out what the author intended to say. 2) The author left Jimmy in the dark too long as to what was going on. Jimmy, the main character doesn't find out the full scope of what is taking place until well into the second half of the book. I found this totally unbelievable from a psychological point of view. Other than that I recommend as a good read.
This book was flat out fun. Action and adventure within the realm of a coming of age novel. 14 year old Jimmy Dolan is taken from the orphanage where he resides by his mysterious Aunt V. From there we are off and running.
The Ninja Apprentice: The Lost Scrolls of Fudo Shin
A wonderful fast-paced action plot. This is truly a do not put down novel. I am hoping for a sequel ASAP! As a reader you will feel a part of the story.
