A Stranger's Wife

Rate this book
Shannon had no wish to be merely one in a succession of models for Roman Morgan's nude portraits. But Roman's promise of funds to locate her fugitive fiance lured her into his studio and then into his marriage bed.

But her new life in a household which included Roman's lover, yet another model, convinced Shannon that she was only a possession in his life. It seemed as though fate had bound her heart to a man who needed her for all the wrong reasons. Would Roman ever see his new treasure as anything more than an objet d'art?

How many ways is h stupid and gullible?
1. Refuses to believe former fiancé would have contacted her if he wanted
2. Marries H without getting details
3. The big one. H tells her several times he doesn’t love OW, pushes OW away, is rude and humiliates her, but h still convinces herself that H is lying and is having an affair with the OW who happens to be his stepmother

Usually HP Hs are obnoxious but compelling but this guy is a jerk

Well done! I really enjoyed this one! Love the moc trope, plus other initial plots on the side that kept the story flowing without feeling like it was draggy. The book itself seems packed, and the pace was befitting as well as the execution. There were some unpredictable moments that I found refreshing. I like how MCs stay true to their molds from beginning to end. Hero was obviously smitten, though tight-lipped. Heroine is relatable. Some angst for the push and pull relationship involving OM/OW drama. Definitely recommend!
