This is the compendium of the first three books in the AngelFall Series. Book I A mysterious ancient prisoner has been freed from eternal sleep,awakened after millennia by the wandering Aristotle, who roams freely despite the edicts of the Elders Council. Tired of living within the gilded cage of Limbo, the great teacher has unknowingly opened Hells' own Pandora's box and set in motion a chain of events that will forever alter the infernal landscape. Will the Fallen, those Dark Angels who reign over Hell, discover their loss? And why does this prisoner not know who he is? Can he evade capture and get to Limbo? Book II The Dark Overlords of Hell, the Fallen, have become aware of their escaped prisoner, and the great teacher, Aristotle, has been sent to a special torment for his crime. Chiron, the Master Centaur, escapes from the Seventh Circle in order to find out why his human friend has been taken to the forbidden area, unaware of his coming encounter with another very dangerous resident. Meanwhile, searching desperately for his identity and trying to escape the Hell he has awakened to, the ancient prisoner wanders alone on the perilous landscape. Book III The ancient prisoner's identity is revealed, and the importance of Aristotle's discovery fuels a new initiative to escape from the gilded cage of Limbo, which has been recently discovered to be infiltrated by metamorphed high demons. The fugitive hunters, tasked with finding the distinctive escapee, are bearing down, and Chiron, in search of answers, soon becomes part of the hunt that will change Hell's landscape forever. Aetos lays at the bottom of a river of boiling pitch in the Eighth Circle, as Panos, shredded by the Harpies of the Wood, has been captured by the human-despising centaurs of the Seventh Circle.

Foulk, son of a milkman dad and an 18-wheeler truck driving mom, was born and raised in southern NJ, and has also lived in Florida, Hawaii, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Humboldt County, California, where he currently resides. He attended the University of Hawaii and graduated in 2000 where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, then attended the UH CoE graduate school for a post-baccalaureate certificate in secondary school education, specializing in Science teaching.
Some of S.E. Foulk's inspiration behind the AngelFall Series came from his encounter with Dante's Inferno when he was just 13 years old. It is then that Foulk became captivated with Dante's Infernal landscape. With drafting starting in 2007, Foulk's first book AngelFall Book I: A Novel of Hell was originally created as a narrative for a video game, but later evolved into a complete book series.

I first started this collection of book after winning it in a giveaway her on Goodreads, two year ago, or something like that. It took me a long time to read the first part/book. Not because it wasn't interesting, but I had to study and found other books more appealing, sorry to say. Then here around the beginning of March, I think, I found the book again on my bookshelf and thought it unfair I didn't finish it, so I started rereading it.
This time around I found it much more interesting to read. It gives an interesting view of Dante's Eight Circles of Hell - not much talk about the ninth and final circle - through the story of its workers and residents.
I am quit happy I got the collection of the first 3 books, since they tell one long story, which will end in the final book, I hope ;)

Extremely clever story built around Dante's vision of Hell. A little gruesome in parts, what with demons rending people all the time, but it's not lingered over and everyone regenerates to be rended eternally, so there's no real harm done.
Characters are interesting and believable, if not not particularly deep, and the story moves at a nice pace. I'm glad I had the compendium of books one through three, because they read extremely quickly and each end on cliffhangers. Unfortunately, so does Book III, but it was a great reveal and I'm looking forward to Book IV.
