This slim volume is a worthwhile companion to David Cronenberg's excellent film, providing background on the special effects and the cast, and more importantly, on the interesting relationship between the director and the author whose work inspired the film. It's not an essential book, but useful background if (like me) you're curious as to how this unique and substantial film came to be.

A quick read, and an in-depth look into the making of this cult classic. Filled with color and blank and white pics of behind-the-scenes creativity that make this a pleasure to own. I especially liked the essays of Cronenberg and Burroughs.
