When Ink forces her to face her demons, does her submission hold the key to her future happiness? Or will their shared past destroy them once and for all?
I devoured this book in less than a day!! I just love this series and am so glad that I found it!! Book #2 is about Ink aka Jordan, who is the owner of "Club Ink", (a BDSM club that also has hot, sexy shifters everywhere)and his estranged mate Cherie who has some major trauma to over come in her life. I have to say that I was extremely impressed at how the author was able to deal with some of Cherie's trauma on top of having some very explosive sex scenes between Ink and Cherie. Even though this is a short story it packed a punch without seeming like there was a huge information dump going on. Years before when Ink and Cherie met they were instantly attracted to one another and Ink became extremely possessive over her and also very jealous. He ended up taking her as a mate forcefully, and Cherie ended up running from him right into the hands of some dangerous hunters. Both Cherie and Ink are tiger shifters, and when Cherie was captured she became tortured and in captivity for five years. She suffered immensely but found the strength to escape and ran straight to "Club Ink" where Ink was. She was put to work as a bartender with the condition that she seek help for her traumatic past. She had so many issues to work on that Ink stayed away from her but watched her from afar. Eventually his desire for his mate becomes too much and he seeks Cherie's counsellor out and requests (or I should say demands!) to know how to "fix" her! I fell in love with Ink in this book. His protective streak that comes out for his mate just melted my heart. Even though it was so hard for him to hear of her trauma he trudges through it and works so hard to help Cherie get better and overcome her fears. I also admired the strength that it took for Cherie to face her many terrors and move forward. This story truly was a story of such devotion to one's mate and how they work together to take back the lives that was taken from the both of them by evil people. It was wonderful to see some old familiar faces from Book one and of course, the character that everyone seems to love, Grisha-the sexy Russian!! I was impressed with this book and I felt the author had come along way from the first book. Onward to Book #3, and I am very excited for this one as it is all about Grisha!! Woohoo!
Before I get to the review I would like to add, I myself am not or will never be a person for this lifestyle, but I do read it. The things is in order for me to like it, it has to be hot I have to feel comfortable reading it or I will not like it. I hope this helps you in deciding to try any BDSM books that I read and enjoy.
This is one of the best BDSM shifter books that I’ve read. I fell in love with Ink in the first book and to see him ended up with someone like Cherie, just made my day. Ink seems like a headstrong man that just cares for himself, but when it comes to his mate his is a total different person and is willing to do anything to get her though her fears. This story has more emotions added, it would have been a knock out if the author could have expanded on a lot of details in this book, but for a quick hot read this is really superb.
This is a medium BDSM read with a hot ménage that includes anal play and sex with two extremely hot shifter men. This story carried more pain then the first book, but it didn’t get out of my comfort zone. BDSM includes sex toys, bondage, claws being used on skin, knife used in places *clears throat* well, you’ll have to read to find that one out, belt being used in various areas and mention of deceives like cages etc.
Both the heroine and hero I found very lovable. I hope that the author will continue and write a book for Grisha.
This is part of a series and you can read as a stand alone, but I do suggest reading in order because you get a better feel for Ink.
Nathan is Estelle boss and wowow is he hot. She has wanted him since her first day of starting work for him, yet he was married. Now Divorced, Estelle wonders if she has a chance. Her best friend signs her up at a Kinky BDSM club. She knows Nathan is in to this, so what better way to learn to please or better yet entice her boss, then join. But did she sign up for more then she can handle???
What a fun and very sexy story from the very first page this book was hot, as in SIZZLE. I loved the way the BDSM was played out and having 2 hot males to teach Estelle was well, Fanning Self!!! Estelle is cast into 2 worlds she really knows nothing about and yet is very excepting to it all. Hmmm does that make her a good sub????? I look forward to more from this author!! Lots more!!
Cherie ran from Ink who marked her without her permission. She ran straight into a hunters cage. where she stayed for 5 long tortures years. The Horrendous acts committed to her have scarred her physically and mentally. Now 15 years later and she is back. Working as a Bartender at Ink's BDSM Club and working on being whole again. Ink teaches sub's on the art of being a submissive. He has never loved anyone woman as much as Cherie. He waits and waits for her to come to him , he will no longer wait, now he must get Cherie to trust herself and him.
This is a very dark story line. If you have trouble with Sexual Abuse this is not the book for you. (PTSD) WARNING. Watching as Cherie with the help of Ink overcome her past was interesting at best.
Foot Note: with the boys Nathan and Ink being Identical Twins , umm the covers should have had same guy, Remember Estelle couldn't tell the difference.
3 Stars Patches ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Masks Of A Tiger (Club Ink #3)
Neeve doesn't understand why any normal person would choose to wear a collar, like a common house pet. And boy is she verbal about it!!!!!! Grisha hears her at the ceremony. He is instantly enamored with her. But fighting it with all it is worth. He loans her his Jacket which she feels compelled to return in person. She gets to see him in training subs with FIRE. The the Sparks really fly.
Grisha has fun in training Neeve in the submissive roll. She is not an easy SUB. Feisty and very outspoken!! Grisha's Tiger knows best and he won't rest until this little human is theirs. The Heat is on and rolls through the book. Fast paced and a fun read! The playful fullness is entertaining.
Book 2 of the 'Club Ink' series and the book I was sooo waiting for. Jordan "Ink" Fielding owns an extreme BDSM club with his brother Nathan. Nathan has found and married Estelle and are expecting their first child which leaves Ink with mixed feelings. He could have been in similar circumstances if fate would have been kind but it wasn't and he's alone with a mate who refuses to acknowledge his claim. Maybe now's the time to man up to his tiger base form and claim the one and only female that he's ever loved.
The book basics of edgy BDSM elements, shape-shifting tigers, menage, and voyeurism are well written and enhance this book. There are some areas that might push the comfort levels of some readers but I personally had no problems. The paranormal/shape-shifter tag is borderline applicable and doesn't really have much impact in this book while the solo menage is m/f/m but deliciously HAWT.
I did have a couple confusion/concern issues, one of which was Ink's character. In book 1 I got a certain vibe from this character which wasn't the same in this book. Ink was a 'take no prisoner' type of guy who became more the caring/loving/concerned Dom in this one which was good but it just took me a while to embrace this and still feel that this was still Ink. The other part I'm still not sure about is the way Ink finds out about Cherie's inner demons. I know Ink's intentions and need to find out was true and for the right reasons but I'm not sure if I agree with the way the author did it. To me it came across as a fast short-cut to solve that dilemma in the shortest and easiest way possible.
Overall I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I love the author and love this series but there are parts of it that didn't do it for me.
Tiger Scars is a quick, sexy read. There are some heavy subjects that are touched upon – past trauma, abuse, love lost, etc. But even with all of that, it’s really uplifting, and did I mention the sexy? There’s lots of sexy. Lots of hot BDSM. Things do happen a bit fast, but that can be attributed to the fact that it’s on the shorter side. And if you’re looking for a hot read with hot tiger shifters who have a BDSM club at their disposal (I should throw another hot in here somewhere, isn’t three a charm?), then this is a perfect, hot (← hot #3 = the charm) read for you.
She survived a nightmare but Cherie is scared, scarred, and afraid of letting go. But every day she goes to work at Club Ink, working for the very person she ran away from so many years ago.
She isn’t the girl Ink remembers, one who gave her submission to him without question. Now she’s terrified and carries demons from her past he doesn’t understand. He will do whatever he can to save her from herself and bring her back to the person she was before.
When he forces his hand and tries to get her to face her fears Cherie doesn’t know if she should run, safe word, or face those fears head on. Using the very things that terrify her and finding out what fantasies she still hold will Ink be able to bring her back. Or will she be lost forever.
This is the second in the series so I was a little worried I’d be lost and despite a few small things, I was pretty much pulled into the story from the first scene. BDSM is big right now and I think Doris O’Connor is an author to look out for. This is what I craved reading. A book that wasn’t a book, but a new world I could sink into for a while.
Tiger Scars is a book you should not pass up, heart wrenching, sexy and utterly satisfying.
This is the second book in the Club Ink series and features Jordan AKA Ink and Cherie, secondary characters in the first book.
I always get a bit worried about the 2nd book in a trilogy as more often than not they're a corridor book, and don't stand up on their own merit.
I needn't have worried with this one, the storyline is fabulous and you can almost taste the chemistry between the 2 lead characters. The sex scenes are explosive but, in my opinion, the tender moments between Ink and Cherie make the book.
I loved this book! As always, Doris has some spectacular sex scenes but what really stood out to me were the tender moments between Cherie and Ink. Amongst the erotic backdrop, the story had heart and I'm just a sucker for the emotional stuff lol A fantastic series of books and all I can say is bring on the Grisha!
This was better than book 1 but still not great. The author doesn't develop a lot of complexity in the story or characters. It is a shame because the storyline is a good one. I doubt I will read more in this series.
What a great follow up book in this series! This one is all about healing and facing your fears with someone you trust who has your back. You got to live a comeback story! This is a can't miss book!
At last, we get Ink's book we see why he is so determined he has his mate. Whilst I was happy he has her but I found myself a bit frustrated with him parading all those subs in front of his mate. But I did enjoy this book.
