Scarlet Hyacinth was born in 1986, in a Romania still struggling under the weight of the communist regime. As a young girl, she started studying the English language and fell in love with books.
After a childhood spent devouring hundreds of pages of fantasy literature, Scarlet found her calling. While at uni, she discovered with the help of a dear friend that she had a knack for writing. The rest, as they say, is history, or rather, lots of hard work and sleepless nights. Today, she can only say with a smile that nothing is impossible and that no matter what others say, you can achieve your dreams if you work hard enough.

Why did I suddenly mark one star when I've been steadily doing three? Well this is book 14. It was written in September 2012. It is currently April 2014. No further additions to this series have been released. Other series' have been begun and released. Miss Hyacinth is still writing.

SO WHY THE HELL IS IT A BIG NASTY PLOT/ARC CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I invested time in this series, generously conceding that I would've been marking them higher if I were reading them spaced out hence the steady 3 stars when I didn't necessarily feel like it, I continued with the series even as it began to bore me witless, carried on skipping the too numerous sex scenes......and then this. Eagerly looking forward to a grand finale. I mean why not? There's 14 books out in circulation and none for nearly two years so of course it must be a full series.....it's not the bloody Wheel of Time or Game of Thrones, it's not even the Belgariad. Yet this does not end the series. It clearly and definitely has plot arc continuance. I am so bloody pissed off right now. Seriously. I cannot just let go of stuff. I will be forced to anticipate and think of the next episode...which does not seem to be coming; and if it does eventually come I may be forced by my OCD to reread this series. In which case I may well be forced to murder.

I was looking forward to reading this book and it wasn't too bad. It did leave reader's in a bit of a cliffhanger with the Elden situation and what was happening on the Sidhe island. New characters are introduced and new alliances come to the front and for some (well one) loyalty is questioned.

Me gustó la relación que se dio aunque esperaba más del incubo pero me ha gustado la forma en que se llevó la trama, más hacia la acción y lo que se les viene encima.

This was somewhat decent and I was willing to finish it until the MCs were asked to fuck in front of a bunch of strangers in exchange for their help. No, thank you.

The story leading up to these two finally getting together in previous books was built so high for me that the story fell a bit flat by the time we finally get to them. Am looking forward to how Kieve fits in and when Sterling finally gets his own mate, which was hinted at near the end.
