Because of a painful past memory, Kanan can't believe in love again. Yet after meeting with the priest, Jake, he begins to experience the joy he longs for. Even the strong posessiveness of Jake's, that is beyond normal, to Kanan is also a wonderful feeling...!?
Nors sperma mintantys vampyrai man dar nematytas dalykas, tačiau japonų Yaoi kultūroje dar ne to būna!
Being a yaoi fangirl, I get very excited when a yaoi doesn't try to hid things from the viewer. The sex scenes were hot, but sadly, that didn't save this book. Acid Flower is a yaoi of a student/Priest nature. The academy is a catholic school and you'll see a lot of name dropping of important names in christian literature(Jesus, God, Mary). This adds to the thrill of the affair. Though the sex turns out to be something more, as in chapter 2, it is revealed that the priest and his friend are semen vampires
Completely out of the blue, considering the blurb didn't mention jack shit! And here's where the cornity ensures (Yeah, cornity is a word. I invented it!).
So they go on to explain that being vampire of this nature for a long time slowly turns them into killing machines, and that only a "Partner of the Darkness" can save them from themselves. Sigh. Just when I though things were getting good.
My issue with this series isn't the concept, or even the cornity. It's the disorganization that gets me SO TEED OFF!
If this was going to be a supernatural series, why wasn't it introduced or hinted at from the start?!?! I had no fucking idea that this was a supernatural book, and in fact, I think it would be better off if it wasn't one. At least then, I took the story more seriously.
Another issue is the instant-love I know, for mangas of this genre, we're subjugated to a lot of this, but this was ridiculous for even this. I mean, as soon as they had sex, they were waxing poetic words about love and forever and shit. It would have felt more real if they developed their relation ship more before confessing . This also made less climatic and meaningful
I'm giving this manga 2 stars though, because despite the corniness of the topic, its pretty inventive. And the sex scenes all turned me on["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
