Empathetic and dignified depiction of conjoined twins. Some other political views are out of date. Themes of what it means to be perceived as strange, and mother/daughterhood. I felt compelled to read it twice.
it's a 4.5 for me. When I first read the blurb, I wasn't that interested... the life of conjoined twins made me think of pain and suffering and bullying. However, this is not it at all! First off, it's not a true story. It's a fictional autobiography. It's well written to allow the disorderly memories to flow. It's funny, sad, humbling. I love the twins and their family. I loved it and I highly recommend.
