Whose Greater Good?

Rate this book
Dawson has seen miscarriages of justice before—firsthand, and it cost him his family—so when Kristine Seleski tells him about the man who brutally beat and raped her daughter, Amy, and how the district attorney’s office suddenly refused to prosecute the case, Dawson doesn’t hesitate to help. But, while trying to track down Amy’s assailant, what Dawson discovers makes his blood run cold. Refusing to accept the compromises the legal system is willing to settle for, Dawson sets in motion his own plan for justice, one that will be bloody and violent…and absolute. Dawson questions the law enforcement and legal system’s definition of “Greater Good.” He questions putting a vicious, murdering, or rapist in federal protection because they have information that might get another scumbag locked up. The trade off was not for the “Greater Good.”

Kristine Seleski contacts Dawson to find justice for her fifteen year old daughter who was beaten and raped. The guy who did it was in jail, identified, her daughter willing to testify, and basically a slam-dunk conviction – but prosecution dropped the case and let him go. The order to let the assailant go came from the Feds who put him in protective custody. .

When Dawson ask Kristine what she wanted him to do with the guy. Her answer: “I want him dead.”

There is a lot of taught action , plenty of blood and don't want to put down reading.

I loved it. An action packed story about revenge and retaliation against evil people. Dawson is the person you call when the justice system lets you down. I would recommend this book.
