Another Classic By Silk White!

Last One Standing
Never be the same is the perfect title for this novel. It holds true to that fact that for every action there is a reaction. We see the choices that are made can and will affect others.
Paige and Jeezy have it all until the Feds kick in their door. Paige is forced to choose between her freedom or losing her fiancé for up to fifteen years. This one choice sets the tone for the rest of novel. Good, bad or evil Paige stands by her choice. While it all comes down to Paige's decision, Jeezy has some hard lifestyle changes, and his own decisions to make. Jeezy will have to learn the hard way that there are repercussion for his actions. Can he take the heat and come out on top?
I like the supporting cast; The Gambino brothers (the killers) were my favorite. They brought the drama! The Africans had flavor but quickly fizzed out into thin air. Their part in story was left open ended and I wanted more from them. Montana (the connect) was who I hated most, but was a needed addition.
The storyline was a good one. I did find holes that were never filled in. I have read several of Silk's books and I love his writing style. It is no secret that he is a good writer. I need to see more from him in the way of an editor and proofreader. He has been in the literary world for a while and I expect more for him. I need him to get on his A game and invest in himself to take him to the next level.

Silk you have completely outdone yourself. Never Be The Same is definitely a winner. The way you weave Paige and Jeezy's life together is amazing. I love the many different parallel's that your writing takes use through as we discover their story and the love they share for one another. Each time I pick up one of your books I am caught up in a fast paced world of sex, drugs, money and triumph. I've been a fan since I read your very first book and you have yet to disappoint. Definitely an author after my own heart. Can't wait for the next book. Keep up the awesome work. ~M~

I really enjoyed this book ...I couldn't put it down ! It really caught my interest, read it in a few hours ! Paige & Jeezy were a great couple & Paige was a true rider for her man taking that bid ! Jeezy later realized that for every action their are repercussions, good or bad ! I hated Montana & Pink was a psychotic chick ...I couldn't stand her, she was a delusional piece of work ! The brothers, Alex & Victor were ruthless ...Alex was the smarter one though but I hate what happened to Peaches ! Y'all just have to read this to get the big picture ....loved it Silk !

I LOVED IT!
I was first introduced to this author Silk White through this book which is very hard to keep in local libraries because it kept getting "misplaced" or borrowers kept 'forgetting to return' this particular book to the libraries in the city & state where I live!
This book is great, but I didn't find it better than my all-time favorite series by Silk White: THE TEFLON QUEEN!

Loved it! The whole thing kept me on the edge of my seat and the parts that I thought would be predictable, the author went another way with it. I was disappointed in the ending, only because I hoped some things would work out better than they did for Paige after everything she went through. I'm a new fan of this author now. Good read

OMG!! what an AWESOME READ.So many twists and turns. Happy endings not always the best endings. I had my oh dam moments. I was mad for a minute moments , never expected this ending. Very enjoyable and entertaining read. 👍😀

Just okay
I really wanted to like this book, because I love a good hood book. But this story line needed more development. I liked the plot, it developed nicely at the beginning, but the ending was very rushed. I feel cheated out of a decent ending.

DNF
I couldn't even get through the first couple of chapters. The writing style the characters were all pretty jeezey right off the start. Choppy writing did not flow to well. Maybe it would have gotten better if I read a little further but I don't think this one was for me.

Not the same
The book was good as a whole but the wrong people were killed off. What about the Gambino Brothers? They were robbing and killing everyone in sight but lived. Paige should have lived as well as Yeezy. Pink needed to go and so did the G brothers.

From the summaries and blurb I didn’t expect it to be as sexually explicit as it was, and from the cover I expected a few more murderous details. Therefore I found this book confusing on the whole and it left me a little lost. I’ve heard great things about Silk White so will be giving the author another try but hoping the next will be a better read...

This book was full of action. Jeezy really messed up when he started messing with Pink, that chick was CRAZY. Paige was even crazier for doing 3 years for him. Although he tried to do right by her and really did love her, Paige still got the short end of the stick

This book had more action in it than the ok corral. I felt bad for Paige because she could never catch a break. She did what she had to do for Jeezy, but it wasn't enough. She really lived up to the phrase ride or die. Paige was just heartless. She knew what was up in the beginning, but she chose to get her heart involved. I felt bad for Peaches and her mother. They were innocent in the Gambino brother's mess
