I’m a huge fan of second chances and all things paranormal. But when it comes to writing, my real passion lies in heroes that aren’t too over the top and feisty heroines able to hold their own.

If I’m not writing, chances are I’m either out hiking, binge watching an entire series on Netflix, or playing video games with my husband.

Disclosure: I am a friend of the author.

Tara isn't your typical werepanther -- she is xaran, destined to walk between the mortal plane and that of the Divine. She must spend one lunar cycle in one form or the other in order to keep the world's balance. For three centuries, Tara has shifted without complaint, bowing to the will of the Divine.

Until she meets Alec.

But xaran are forbidden from having relationships with humans. To her intense surprise, Tara finds herself falling for Alec, and begins to question her very existence. Should she follow her heart, or slip into the thrall of the Divine?

Having no foreknowledge of the plot before publication, I can honestly say that the xaran mythology is interesting! Tara is a believable heroine, who finds herself struggling against everything she has ever known. Turning your back on your convictions takes guts ... and Tara finds out the consequences of her actions in agonizing fashion. My only wish is that the book were longer -- sorry, Erin!

To note: the plot is punctuated by several steamy scenes.
