There are 12 short stories in this anthology. One thing to note is that this isn't like some other anthologies with themes and stories so similar that they all blend together. This contains stories so versatile, that you are sure to come across something you'll like. They range from historical fiction to paranormal to pirates with everything in between.

I say every library should have a book like this for several reasons.
--First, the short stories are the perfect length to read in between novels, or when you just need a break. And if you just read one at a time during those breaks, this book will last you a while, and the stories can be read over and over. Mine would already be tattered and have many folded down pages, if it weren't an e-book.
--Second, it is a great introduction to some very talented authors. Some whose works i have already read, some whose works i plan on going out and getting after reading their contributions to this book.
--Third, it's so cheap! And the quality is so top notch. After paying 9.99 for so many overrated books, this one is practically free. Even more reason to add this gem to your library.

There were quite a few stories in this collection that i loved and bookmarked. And even though i didn't love all of the stories, i absolutely loved the collection of them. It was wonderful starting a new story and having no idea where it was going to take me on my next little outing. It was even more wonderful how i enjoyed most of the stories, even ones with themes i wouldn't normally read.

It's only 2.99, buy it. Maybe you'll discover a new favorite author!

This is a curates egg of an anthology with some excellent pieces.

For me the stand out stories were those from Niamh Murphy, Frankie Morgan and of course the inestimable Kiki Archer.

A relatively short but compelling page turner that mixes genres and prose styles for a wilfully uneven approach.
