Summer Kisses

Rate this book
This summer the sun has gone to everyone's heads...Flora and Jenna should be working busy shifts but something more fun has come up! Two new arrivals have blown into Glenmore and life at the hospital could get tricky. So it's time to set some rules. Flora's summer is simple: Avoid kissing Connor MacNeil. (He may be gorgeous, back in town and single...but he snogged everyone except you at school, remember!) Jenna's summer 'Why I shouldn't fall in love with Dr Ryan McKinley' list is a little more complex...? I've been divorced less than a year ? I'm ordinary and he is a sex god ? I have my daughter to think of ? He might break my heart...It'-s so difficult to be good with temptation on the doorstep. But rules are rules. Summer is sunshine. And, just maybe, a wish is a kiss that might just come true!

Loved. The characters, the romance, the medical dramas, the setting, I loved it all. Predictable? A bit, but I give not one tiny care in the world as the two stories which make up Summer Kisses are precisely why Sarah Morgan walks on water as far as I’m concerned.

Firstly I love the location of Glenmore. Secondly I liked the two parts of the book being split between Flora and Jenna.

Part one was Flora. I liked Flora, Conner took a while to grow on me with Flora. However he was an amazing doctor from the start I wouldn't have minded seeing him as a patient. Whatever the locals thought of him personally there was no doubt to how good of a doctor he was. Conner is perfect for anyone who likes a bad boy with women finding the one woman he just wants.

Part two was Jenna. If I had to choose this story would be a little ahead on me loving it not just liking it. Jenna is a brilliant mum and her daughter was brilliant too. Lexie and Ryan at the end was such a funny dialogue. I love how nice Ryan is with both of them, he's almost too perfect. Jenna really needed to think of herself as a woman as well as a mother. Ryan is for anyone who likes a sweetheart. In this book I liked the sweetheart and how much her cared from the start. One of my favourite parts was when Jenna had been working in England and that they wouldn't hold that against her.

I also enjoyed the characters that featured across both stories as that made me be able to connect the two.

It wasn't such a quick read for me compared to other Sarah Morgan stories I've read but I still enjoyed both of the two stories in one.

Luckily I've read this romance before seeing that these were originally two cheap novels called The Rebel Doctor's Bride and Dare She Date the Dreamy Doc? because I would never picked them up. These titles are hilarious. :')
Both stories were nice quick holiday reads. Of course there was a story formula to all of it but I didn't mind because I hadn't expected anything else.

I don't think Sarah Morgan will ever disappoint.
These were yet again such fun and fast paced romance reads.
An utter Delight!

Perfect HEA stories to pick up ANYTIME.
Sarah's characters are always so frigging loveable
and I just can't get enough of her writing!
Always looking forward for a next read by her,
so hopefully I can add some new reads to my collection again soon.

Been so long since I read a medical romance and this was like hearing a song you used to love on the radio...it put a lovely big smile on my face. I feel the first story in this duet had a little more story and character depth, the second story felt like it ended a little too abruptly. Nevertheless, I found both stories completely charming.

Lovely read, I have read a few of Sarah Morgan's book, in my mind this particular book isn't as good as others but still enjoyed it. It's two diffrent stories, the second one is about two years after the first. It's two diffrent couples, two diffrent stories but some of the characters are in both

The Rebel Dr Bride
I totally loved this book. Once again SM proves that she is a great storyteller.
Nurse Flora has the shock of her life. Conner the famous bad boy is back on Glenmore island. She had a crush on Conner but she was a shy teenager and she may be the only girl he didn't kiss back then. Conner has done good by himself. He has become a doctor and Flora can't help herself falling for him all over again. But the islanders doesn't trust him. They still see the troublemaker bad boy. It took a miracle - rescuing a little girl from a near death - for the islanders to see the true Conner. And it took shy Flora an act of courage to win the love of her life.

Dare She Date The Dreamy Dr
Nurse Jenna came to Glenmore Island after her divorce to start a new life for herself and her teenage daughter Lexi. Dr Ryan has been living on the island for two years recovering from a terrible marriage. These two were heartbroken and had a lot of past baggage to deal with. I loved Jenna and Ryan and I was very invested in their lives and rooting for their HEA. I loved Lexi's sarcasm and the matchmaking islanders, even Rebel the dog. This is a feel-good story that will keep the smile on your face.

I've just finished reading the first story of Sarah Morgan's medical romance double. Simply called Flora, after the heroine, I LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS STORY!
Conner, the island's bad boy is back and no-one will beleive in what capacity ! Not many women can resist this bad boy, not even sensible, shy Flora.
I felt so happy and uplifted after reading this story, it was great !
The second story in this double is "Jenna". This story is as fabulous as the first. A few more angst filled moments but still a really happy, uplifting feeling when I finished the book!
I really loved Sumner Kisses !

The heat, the romance, i felt it all its something i desire but won’t have (ace gang) - the banter that lexi and ryan have at the end reminds me of the banter i have with my lovely step mum, im also 15 so i relate to lexis character and it actually gave me insight into my mums though process of asking me all those questions about if we like her bf, anyway yes good books, flora and connor ha that was something that i- yes, the pub scene,, and jenna and ryan they are so interesting as a couple but i fell in love with their ship straight away

This was the perfect cheesy, predictable and cute romance novel that I needed.
I've read a Sarah Morgan book before and I absolutely loved it. I may need to buy a couple more.
She certainly knows how to write a love scene. I'll tell you that right now.
Her writing is very enjoyable and her characters are very easy to fall in love with. Particularly the male ones.

This book has kept me up past my bed time for two nights now. Absolutely loved the bad boy Connor in the first story, and the troubled Ryan in the second. Both stories are set on a remote island, where the newbies have to be liked by the locals. Both flora and Jenna are very lovable characters who I instantly connected with. Overall both great stories.

Very disappointing book. Really like Sarah Morgan’s books especially the most recent ones but the ones in this series and the Puffin Island series were very poor sadly. Within about 30 pages of starting the books it’s clear where it’s going.

At one part of the book, Ryan is replaced by Logan and no one caught that in the proof reading process!! Seriously!!

Avoid, sadly.

SUMMER KISSES
Mengapa novel - novel Haequin sekarang sangat membosankan.

2⭐

DARE SHE DATE THE DREAMY DOC

Light, easy reading with likeable characters. I always enjoy Sarah Morgan's books and while I must admit I hadn't realised this was two stories in one book before I read it, I enjoyed the brief bit of escapism each offered. Both set on the island of Glenmore and each based on doctors working at the same practice, the stories occur a couple of years apart. The island of Glenmore reminded me of other lovely Sarah Morgan settings where she introduces you to an idyllic community inhabited by people who all know each others' business and readily rally around looking out for each other. With this one, however, there were a few more dramas and casualties so that the lovely doctors of Glenmore could come into their own. And why not being as they did it so very well. Each made a wonderful hero offering plenty of swoon appeal and the perfect match for their female counterparts. The stories were different enough to make each interesting and the second included a Labrador which is always a plus for me! Two lovely Sarah Morgan reads with the all-important happy ever after moments - ideal for a holiday read.

Summer Kisses is about two different set of story that happens in Glenmore. The first one will be the rebellion turns to be Doctor Connor McNeil and Nurse Flora Harris whereas the second story is about Dr Ryan and nurse Jennifer@ Jenna. The first story is about Connor who is an islander and a rebellion who has came back to the island after some time in order to help in his cousin medical center. He will meet nurse Flora who went to the same school as him and is the only girl that he never kissed before in that island. The story will narrate their love story.

On the second story, Ryan will meet nurse Jenna who is new to the island. She travels there with her daughter Lexi right after a divorce. The story will unfold when both has chemistry going on and attracted so badly to each other. At the end they will find their love in each other.

In overall I like the simple and fun stories. It is short but somehow it will make you smile for no reason. I will say it is very entertaining book.

This is a great and enjoyable read, although a few mistakes were evident in the book. One prominent mistake is when the main female characters (Flora and Jenna) were talking to their love interests but instead of being referred to by their names (Conner & Ryan) somehow they were talking to... Logan? Logan who was not supposed to be there. Or maybe I was the one who wasn't paying attention while I was reading?

Anyway, other than the one I've mentioned, this book can join the list of re-readable books in my house. I love the storyline, the romance and the way the author incorporates medical procedures when the characters are having a normal conversation with their patients. Kinda reminds me of when I see my dad with his patients...

Love this. Highly recommended for those who prefer light reading.

Enjoyed both books although some annoying bits in the second book.
Usual teenage girl blaming her mother for the failure of the marriage, even though it was her dad that had the affair! Also, upset as none of her friends would answer their phones so she assumes they had been out all night clubbing (at 15!).
The fact that her husband took everything bar a paltry sum which he gave to her and involved his dodgy lawyer co workers to rip her off. Even though his name was on the house deeds she should still be entitled to half as they were married. And he took the furniture etc as she didn’t want to fight him for it.
Wrong character name, as picked up by previous reviewers.
But the most annoying thing had to be “I’m 33 , I have no idea if I can have another baby”, I’m too old to have a baby” etc etc. You’re 33 woman not 53! Many women have babies well into their 30’s and 40’s. Even occasionally 50.

Picked this up at a book fair. It's a steal because I walked away with two very memorable stories and characters that were easy to identify myself with. It's cute that both stories are set in Glenmore, feature two nurses with the same side characters but running two timelines, if that makes sense. Between the two, I prefer Jenna's story. Flora is nice but Jenna is very relatable and the fact that she's a mother with a teenaged daughter just gives her story an extra kick. The scene at the cliffs was pretty exhilarating too. Okay, and who am I kidding? I adore Dr. Ryan McKinley. Would love to see how the inside of a lighthouse house looks like...

I loved this book. Loved Flora and Connor's story. Connor never made a move on Flota because he respected her brother Logan and had promised him he wouldn't when they were teenagers. Connor was no longer the bad guy he saved little Lily's life. Connor helped Flora deliver Evanna and Logan's baby. I loved Jenna and Ryan's story too. Jenna"s teenage daughter Lexi had not wanted to leave her friends in London, but Jenna wanted to distance herself from her controlling exhusband. The story of them rescuing Matt and Lexi was amazing. Ryan asked Jenna to Marry her and Connor asked Flora to marry him.

2 short stories not much substance and felt both very similar. Set in the same location about 2 different Dr's 2nd story rather confusing would have been better if Connor's leaving had been explained in the 1st chapter

This book is the best summer book ever. I enjoyed every second of reading this book. I was a bit unsure about the two stories in one but I ended up loving them, as soon as I finished it, I wanted to pick it back up and start reading again. Anyone who is thinking of reading this book

I hate short stories. I wish it was clearer on the cover that this is what the book was. I didn’t realised until I had finished the 1st. The stories are just never developed properly and you’re just left with a 1/2 arsed story. Very disappointed

Great feel good book with 2 stories in it for the price of one. Both set in the same location on the island of Glenmore and the first starts when Conner returns home to help out at the surgery - despite his reputation as the local bad boy. Will Fiona be able to resist his charms?
