LOVING SHADE picks up right from book 1 and still has me guessing! So many unanswered questions...will Shade & Tara make it? I'm going to go crazy until book3 comes out! ooooh this book was even better than SHADE book 1! EXCELLENT ORIGINAL STORYLINE! Get started reading this series...it's great! I absolutely loved book 2 in the Loving Shade series and can't wait for the conclusion. I loved Shade even more in this book then the first one and we find out more and more that lays between the surface of Shade and his mother. We also see how far his mother is willing to go to keep Tara away from him. The one thing Elia doesn't realize though is how far Shade will go to protect Tara from her manipulation tactics, he is willing to lose it all to keep Tara safe.

Shade's seduction of Tara into his world carries on...and the ride is not over ❤️

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Loving Shade written by Shayne Ford and voluntarily reviewed this book. This is the second installment of this author’s Bad Boy Billionaire Romance Golden Heir series. Tara Hart knows by now that loving Shade will be one of the toughest things in her life, simply because of his mother Elia Hennessy’s insistence that she doesn’t belong with her son or in his world. He is younger than her in age, but so much older than her in experience as well as worldly. He has the ability to quietly observe the world around him and absorb everything, reacting only when he it suits him. Ever since spying on Tara at an event, Shade knew somehow that they were souls both yearning to break free and that they were somehow meant to be together.

Back from a week’s bliss in Italy does everything to further Tara’s fall into a deeper relationship with Shade, but nothing to solve the issue when they return to the workplace. In fact, Elia ups her game in her efforts to separate Tara from Shade, and this absolutely pushes Shade even farther away from Elia and her plans for him and the company. But when Elia employs a near-surgical tactic, what will happen then, especially when Tara realizes that there perhaps is nothing in their arsenal strong enough to surmount the logical outcome, even with Shade’s deepest and heartfelt assurances?

No matter what counterstrike Shade tries, Elia has a move which succeeds in making a hit on their relationship. We get to delve deeper into the storyline and experience Shade’s world further, and both their best friends even meet briefly for an unforgettable time, opening Tara’s eyes to more of Shade’s decadent world…all of which I cannot wait to read more about in this author’s last book of the series: Forever Shade.

This is not your typical erotic romance story ... and Shade is not your typical man. He is powerful, strong-willed, and mature beyond his 21 years. He understands the power of love and he is not afraid of embracing it no matter the cost. His relationship with Tara, his soul mate, will be challenged and quite possibly destroyed by individuals working behind the scenes. Will they be successful?

The story should come with a warning: You will fall in love with him! This is a man who lives through his soul and because he does, you will feel his love, his pain, his loss...and his joy. You will find yourself smiling, blushing and quite possibly weeping and all the while feeling more engaged than you may have felt in ages.

Shayne Ford has created a complicated but well developed cast of characters who will draw you into the story immediately. Don't be surprised if there are moments where you feel like a voyeur, actually present and watching the characters interact. The story and writing is just that powerful and the emotional value is addicting. This book is for the 18+ reader due to language and sexual content.

If you are open to read something that will totally engage your mind and your senses then you have the right location and anything Shayne Ford has written is going to fill the bill. This is the second book in a 3 part set.

Loving Shade by Shayne Ford is book 2 in the Golden Heir series. This book picks up after book one. These are not standalone books and to truly understand and appreciate them they most be read in order. As usual Ms. Ford writes a well written and complex offering. Her books are not simple and easy. There is no perfect world that is perfectly shaded in blacks and whites. The worlds she creates are populated with many shades of gray, choices are heartbreaking and have long lasting effects and just like real life things can get very hard and ugly. Her books not only make you feel, they make you think and force you to imagine yourself in her character's shoes. That is why I am such a fan of her work. As Shade and Tara's story continues more complications arise for them even as they reach a level of happiness they have never enjoyed before. Outside forces are working overtime to destroy this couple and I can't wait to find out how it all end's in book three. This was an excellent book and I recommend any of Ms. Fords series to romance fans that want a very emotional, romantic, steamy and complex read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** Picks up right where we left off in Shade, navigating the ups & downs of the relationship. Still has me guessing as to what is up Elia's butt & why she's always on Shade or Tara's case. Love how Shade always asserts & carries himself whenever he's talking to Elia. Also liked that little storyline add with Chad & Maya. Would like to see what happens there. That damn cliffhanger though! Shade is seriously about to blow shit up & can't wait to see how this story will wrap up!

Tara and Shade are feeling their way through, but nothing is ever easy. The bumpy road they are on is just starting to smooth out when people and circumstances interfere with their happiness. I love Shade's character. He's come so far and is still a little young, yet so much more together than others his age. Tara is just getting her life going, and then the unthinkable happens. Need to read the next book!

Fantastic read. Well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. This book continues from book 1. It is a page turner. I couldn't put it down! Shade is strong, sexy, and wants love more than anything and will do anything to achieve that, no matter the cost. A great continuation to the series. This book is hot, sexy, steamy with a little drama. The chemistry between Shade and Tara are off the charts. Plus the feud between them and Shade's mom get more intense. Once I started reading this I couldn't put it down. But be warned this ends with a major cliff hanger. Can't wait to read the conclusion to this series.

This book picks up where we were left off in book 1 - if you are not in love with Shade after reading this book, I think we might need an intervention. He is mature beyond his years and his love for Tara runs deep and he will do everything he can to protect it from outside powers at play. Good vs. Evil

Shade and Tara's love affair continues in the second book of this trilogy. Everything eventually comes to a head when Shade's evil and heartless mother rips the rug out from under both of them. Tara refuses to be the reason for Shade losing everything. Shade appears to set something in motion. And onto book three...

The exquisitely descriptive writing and wonderful storytelling of Shayne Ford continues from the first book. I'm so glad that I came upon this trilogy after it was completed. I would have hated to have to wait for the final book to have been published. Now onto book three...

What an emotional rollercoaster! Shayne Ford has taken these characters and brought them and their story to life with such detail that this one left me with a tear running down my face. Shade and Tara's journey is filled with love, passion, hot sex, angst. Truly I think if I had Shade's mother, I'd have to slap her! You won't want to miss this installment of Shade so while you read this one, I'm starting the next one immediately. Thanks for another 5 star read Shayne.

Wow!!! I love Shade and Tara. This book was hot, sexy, steamy and has drama.

Shade and Tara continue to their relationship but at what cost? Elia, Shade's mom, wants to destroy them even more know and she will stop at nothing to make that happen. Shade is determined to bring his mother down and not let her ruin their relationship. Elia takes everything away but he still loves Tara and wants to be with her. Elia tells Tara that Shade has lost everything to be with her, Tara's upset. Can Shade get them back on track? Will their love survive? Or will evil win?

We pick up were we left Shade and Tara in book 1. They have plenty of ups and downs along the way, Yes Book #1 and Book #2 do have cliffhanger but hold on that only keeps you on the edge of your seat to see if they get a HEA just have to wait see what happens in book #3. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Grab it now.

I got this book in exchange for a review. Shade and Tara continue with their affair as they both fight Shade''s mom, Elia, as she tries to tear them apart. Tara is struggling with the idea of trusting Shade. The author develops each person bringing the reader into the story. This book also ends in a cliff hanger.

Far too many proofing errors made this read miserable.

This is a new author to me. I was extremely frustrated after reading book 1 in the series because there were over 20 proof errors within that 150 pages. I was really hoping book 2 would be better. Unfortunately, although a few fewer, the errors started off in ch1 and carried on throughout - 15 or more. The author took a novel of 450 and split it into 3 parts - charging $6.50 x 3 = $19.50 for 450 pages. Now, that’s her business but at that price for basically a novella it should be error free. I find, for a book that size, the price is quite steep so it had better be great - but when the book is riddled with silly mistakes that lead a reader to believed it was translated but not proofed by a proof reader or editor whose first language is English I feel irritated and frustrated. At that price, reader’s are entitled to expect it’s free or proof errors. I also think the author’s style of writing isn’t for me. Throughout the first 2 books in this series the author never gives any reference to time, place or person. The story floats from one sexual experience to another. Shades floats in and out. They make out he leaves - we are never told what, where, who or when - not ever. He glides back in, tells her to get ready - we don’t know where he was, what he was doing, where they are going, who they are seeing, if they arrive at a party we don’t know who’s it is, or what the party is for, then they leave make out and he leaves again. I’ve never read a book like this and now after book 2 - the lack of story information is wearing on me. It feels like one sexual experience to the next and not much else. I’m a voracious reader. I read a minimum of 300 books a year maybe more. I’ve never experienced a book like this so I guess some will love it, some won’t. I am a bit shocked due to all the 5 star reviews that no one mentioned this or anything about the proofing errors for either book?

This is the sweetest book I’ve read so far and trust me I’ve read a lot ....over 500 books and I’ve lost count ....The story line is so good .

“What do you dream about these days?”

Light flashes through his eyes.

“I dream about beautiful things. I want to fill my heart with as many as I can. And I want to create as many as I can, so I can wash the ugliness away. I want to see more beauty shine through. The way it should be.”

More light pours into his eyes as he envisions that world.

“And then... I would find a remote, beautiful, unspoiled place...” he says, turning to his side and tucking his elbow beneath his head. “And I would take you there and love you till the end of time.”

His hand traces my face, his fingers brushing my hair away. I stare at him, my lips parted in awe, as he kisses my surprise away.<


Sliding closer, he breathes into me.

“What about you, Tara?”

“I, um... I think you already know...” I murmur.

“I do know,” he says, his voice flowing through me. “But I want to hear it.”

“I would follow you to the end of the world... to that special place... And I would love you back... till the end of time,” I say and smile, yet my voice starts breakin

Lost In Translation

I’m fairly sure Amazon will censor my review but Goodreads will not...hopefully. Being Italian I know that mi puttana translating to “ my harlot” is a very loose translation. So when Tara is honing her oral skills and he calls her mi puttana he’s saying that she’s his whore. Nothing more romantic than being called that I guess. This book was a meager 160 pages...the author serializing her books so by the end of Shade’s story you’ve dropped $13.00. Keep in mind that almost one half of this book is comprised of sex scenes. Very little plot movement occurs. This book is no more than a young boy with mother issues. Ms. Ford’s covers are divine but her writing sub standard. I keep asking myself why I’m still reading but there are reasons why it’s imperative to give an honest review of a book.

LOVING SHADE : A Billionaire Romance ( GOLDEN HEIR SERIES Book 2)

I loved reading this story, it was absolutely beautiful for a love story, with lots of sexual happenings between Tara and Shade. He has been fighting for his new life from his parents, specially his mother, the control freak! He says he doesn't need anything from anyone. He walked away from his parents money and career to be with Tara. He loves her! His mother keep treating him like a child. Shade finally runs off with Tara. His parents haven't given him much choice to let him live his life his way. I would recommend this story, it was written very well and happens to be a exciting book. It kept me interested. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. Enjoy!!!

The story continues from where it left off in book 1, which was a cliff-hanger I may add!
Shade and Tara’s story play out and you just have to keep reading because you just want to know hat happens next! Shade has a fierce urge to protect Tara and boy does he need to – from his own mother, who’ll seem to stop very low to cause trouble. Shade and Tara are soul mates.
This is a very well written, deep, emotional, hot romantic read, I am looking forward to reading the last in part of their story to see if they will end up with their happy ever after or those that are looking to break them succeed.

Shade continued playjng mind games with Tara. She started having thoughts that their relationship was going to be tested. It turned she was right. No matter how hard they tried to trust one another, evil won.
Shade decided he needed to know how much she trusted him. He lost because she didn't want him to lose everything because her.
Once she finally started moving forward, she knew he was testing her and she accepted him leaving.

What I didn't like, the overly mind games. I felt he was asking too much from Tara. He would give and take back in the relationship. It was too much push and pull.
