Flame-haired Annie O'Neal was going to a home she had never known— the Outer Banks of Carolina—where her father had gone after sending her to a boarding school to become a proper young lady. But when Annie arrived, she was faced with a harsh way of life she could not imagine, and for which she was woefully unprepared.
Annie's father had mysteriously disappeared. In his place was the handsome and fiercely proud T'maho Hamilton, who chose the path of his Indian forebears rather than his white father. Annie and T'maho were different as night and day, but he taught her the power of desire, and she showed him the meaning of love. Their clash of wills sparked a fire within them both...until it was doused by the wealthy and iron-willed Jackson Snell, who demanded Annie be his bride. Now Annie was torn between the man she could not resist and the man it was folly to fight—on an island as wild as the passions that flowered there.

I don't believe a writing team is a good idea. This book is full of writing inconsistencies and repeats that drove me nuts. Whoever did the proof reading failed. In one time episode...she has a dress buttoned to her neck..hiding everything, and the it s a scoop necked gown...things like that are inescusable. The story was interesting and if it had been written well would have held my interest. As it was each flaw in the storyline, made me take a break. If you don't mind this kind of hack writing...you'll enjoy it.
