GET OUT THERE, GIVE IT 110% AND ABSOLUTELY SMASH IT!
Tom Skinner is a grafter. Born and bred in Romford, he’s spent a lifetime on market stalls and has always had an eye for opportunity. He’s sold everything from laughing monkeys to luxury mattresses! Like a magician, Tom can make something out of nothing, although he’s seen it all disappear just as quickly, too.
Graft is a window into the world of a professional wheeler-dealer who knows exactly what it takes to stay afloat and keep your chin up when the going gets tough.
Inside, Tom shares his story and the hilarious escapades he’s found himself involved in while trying to make a quick buck. He also reveals how you, too, can make your own luck using the simple mantras he abides by and how to bounce back off the ropes when it feels like you’re down and out.
From fuelling yourself with a big breakfast (preferably down Dino’s Cafe) to the importance of making mistakes, Tom offers an entertaining, motivational read for anyone who wants to do bigger and better things … or just wants a good laugh.
If you want a book that’s fun, makes you laugh out loud, is easy, real life and written by one of the nicest, happiest and funniest people there is then let me recommend Graft!
In one go I managed 100 pages. It’s easy going and genuine and a real fun read - and has some lovely things to say about my Dad too🤍. When I picked it up a second time I didn’t realise how far I’d got until I realised I was on the epilogue and had read the second part in one go too!
He’s nice, generous, funny and exactly what he says he is. What you see is what you get! And that comes across in this book 💕
As far as minor celebrity cash in books go, this is pretty enjoyable. Some good stories in Tom's trademark humour and doesn't over stay it's welcome. If you like Tom on Instagram etc you'll probably enjoy this.
Surprisingly fun read - the life and times of a modern day Del Boy which resonated with me far more than I would have guessed before reading. Tom Skinner is the ubiquitous market trader both in life and on the page - whether you want it or not, his words will reach out, grab your attention, and ultimately make you laugh.
