The setting: A fishing lodge in northern British Columbia. The cast: Jamie Nicholson, owner, Brooke Stephens, office manager, Leeza Campeau, chef. Three women putting all their energies into keeping the lodge financially afloat. Enter the guests: Craig Hansen, noted documentary filmmaker, "Slick" Billy Talbot, former baseball star, and Matt Weber, hotshot realtor. Three distinctly different men. Three determined women. Who will succumb to the Lure of Love?
Mona Ingram is the author of over 60 romance novels, including twelve novellas. Many of her stories take place in British Columbia, where she has lived since the age of twelve. In recent years she has lived in the Okanagan Valley and on Vancouver Island. In addition to reading and writing, traveling and bird watching are among Mona's favourite pastimes.
A perfect beach read about three ladies who meet three very different men at the lodge where they work. Owner Jamie is doing her best to keep the business going strong, and a documentary filmmaker could actually feature her lodge in a project, bringing untold publicity. Brooke's falling hard for Slick Billy Talbot, former baseball star. But will his playboy reputation predict a broken heart? Chef Leeza is instantly smitten with delicious real estate entrepreneur Matt, but he's come into town with lots of baggage. The story is fast paced and charming and I found myself rooting for each character to gain a happily ever after.
The Lure of Love was a really cute, sweet, enjoyable read. I'm a sucker for HEA and I definitely got not one, not two but three of them!! I found myself smiling a lot while reading this book. After being frustrated with the endings of the last couple of books I've read, this was just what I needed! :o)
A beautifully written story about three friends who unexpectedly find love in a romantic spot where they work. This is the second book I have read by this author and there is no doubt that I will read more of her work. A feel good story worth reading.
I think it was difficult to follow. These characters has complex under developed backgrounds. I think if the three story lines were done in three intertwining books it would have been better..
A nice little fun romance. Three friends fall in love with three guys who have been hurt or had damaged reputations. Everyone's problems are solved when they all come together on a project.
