About the author

was a French geographer. He was one of the masters of French geography in the 20th century.

Pierre George studied history and geography (agrégé), he taught in various high schools (Montpellier, Charlemagne in Paris, Lakanal in Sceaux ...), then made his career at the Sorbonne, where he entered in 1948. He was a professor of human geography there until 1977. This did not prevent him from often leaving to teach abroad (Tunisia, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Venezuela, Mexico (his last post, in 1984).

كتاب جيد.. ولكنه تخصصي.. ويمكن الاستفادة منه للتعرف على ماهية جغرافية السكان.. وتأثير الجغرافية على السكان وتموضعهم وهجرتهم.. خاصة أننا سوف نضطر للهجرة بسبب التبدلات المناخية كما يتنبأ العلماء..
