I didn't read it ENTIRELY through. After she changed the MMCs entire personality I just couldn't. I mean the MMC has been doting on, spoiling, and spending ALL his time with the MFC; but when its time to meet her kid and attend her sweet 16 party, he just doesn't show up???? That was an entire flip from what he showed us in the beginning, middle, and I assume the end. So why flip his personality and morals just to make implausible friction? It just didn't make sense, and it was annoying.
Brett loved Deneen to distraction. Deneen found the love she read about in her romance novels. I love the way she raised her daughter. Isn't it just like some spouses when they lose them to someone else, they want them back. They forget you remember how you treated them. Brett not only spoke of his love for Deneen, he showed his love for Deneen. This book was good, fast pace and corny. I like how you made the characters flow into one another.
This is my first time reading a book by Ka’-Dee Allen. Could have been written with less chapters but I enjoyed reading the book and the storyline- husband wanted an out from the marriage and when he got it, then wanted her back. I’m glad she got her memory back
First of I want to congratulate the author for giving us a professional heroine. The book was well written. Brett might have been a smidge intense but then again, he knew what he wanted and went for it. I wish I knew their ages though.
Deneen was a woman who took no prisoners, she had a friend that was in love with her but she was married so she didn't go there until her husband decided he wanted out, but Brett was still waiting and wanting her and he got her.😍
The book had a very promising story line , however the author failed to make it interesting. The story in itself did not come together and the female lead was just too confusing after her accident.
I enjoyed the story very much but thought it could have been proofread better. Some of the chapters talked in third person then went to personal tense which made the storyline confusing. I did still enjoy reading this book.
This story offered and served what I wanted in a romance novel. It was romantic and sexy with a bit of suspense. Deneen’s dilemma was relatable—an experience that many people have dealt with in life. Brett is added to the roster; he is my new book lover.
Ms. Allen gives us a complicated second chance at love story with later in life main characters. ADA Deneen is blindsided when her husband walks away from their marriage with no discussion but half of their furniture! Soon afterwards, she reconnect with Brett, her best friend from law school. Brett has loved her all this time. Will he be able to make his dream life a reality and will her husband stay gone? Brett was an incredibly sweet leading man. I really enjoyed this story.
