While I am thoroughly enjoying the story line what's keeping me from rating higher is the lack of editing. ie: in one chapter a door is closed and then a couple pages later the characters hear talking because it's open. In addition to the occasional typo.
At this point in the series I'm also having trouble letting go of some of character flaws and the decisions being made by the characters.
I hope the following books in the series get back the feel of the first.

Impact

President Marshall has his hands full as the tail of the Comet Clement knocks this space station too close to Earth's gravity pull. After being badly battered by a rock the size of a football field and numerous others in the comet's tail, they finally are able cut use three remaining shuttles to pull them away from Earth's gravity pull.

Russia's underground Ark is beset by several strong earthquakes. Many are injured a or dead. Russia's President and his wife are killed by their room's roof caving in on them, so the people turn to President Brighton to lead them in this dark time.

The aquatic ark is tossed over and over and carried by tsunamis hundreds of miles away. The elite upper level is badly crippled. Admiral Matthews take control of the sea craft and they go deep underwater to escape the tsunamis. Now he wonders if the underwater volcanos that are erupting all around will be next as the sea craft's maps are all river maps instead of sea or ocean maps.

Will any of these arks survive or is this the end of all mankind?

In the six books leading up to this one, Kevin George describes the preparations made for humankind to try to survive the impact of Comet Clement. In this one, he describes the actual impact of the comet and the complete devastation of the planet. I have to think he consulted a few scientists on this one to figure out how to describe an extinction event as it happens. The effect on the three arks is fascinating. You would think the space station would be unaffected, but not so.

Seriously good read!

Captivating and easy to read, the "Comet Clement" books are sure to be on the top of anyone's list for must reads. Kevin George has a fertile imagination and definitely keeps his readers' attention. I usually get bored with "sequels", but these books are different enough to keep one interested. Highly recommend Kevin George and the Comet Clement series.

Thoroughly enjoying the series and loving nearly all the characters, can't wait to see the demise of Matthews, or am I just hoping, one thing I'm a little disappointed with was the closing paragraph on the last book left with a cliff hanger and said at least one of the Arcs didn't survive 🤔, hmmm we'll see, 😁, 5 Stars from me

Impact (Comet Clement series, #7)

Clement has impact the earth and all three arks are in trouble. The space station I was hit the the tail of the comet and is being pulled back to earth. The seacreft is on top of the ocean and the water is boiling. The Russian's underground bunker is having major earthquake problems. Who will survive? Great story.

I’m addicted to this series and have come to love the characters. This author takes us down a scary, true-to-life possible experience filled with breathtaking, vivid scenes. It is funny though, to be enthralled in a storyline and come across grammar errors, or down right words missing; it doesn’t happen a lot but it is rather annoying.

The three Arcs

A description of the devastating effects of Clement on the three Arcs is described in great detail. The personal response of the lead characters a in each location adds to the drama and interest of the reader and it is not over.

Very good series. Great action, sci-fi.

Another Kevin George book in the COMET CLEMENT series that was hard to put down. Very imaginative writing. There are always new surprises. I also enjoyed the individual relationships that developed in each of the arks. Art imitates life in this book. Pretty or lucky people remain so, with some exceptions. And, one exceptionally unlucky man also remains unlucky. Possible shocking ending to this book, which sets up the next book in the series nicely.

The comet has finally struck Earth, and this book deals with how each of the three arks survives the impact. It's a bit draggy and my biggest problem was that of believability. I didn't have a problem with the space station or the underground facility. I did have a problem with the behavior of the naval personnel. It just didn't ring true. Anyway, on to the next book.

I always finish reading a series however I am wondering if I will continue with book 8. Impact was slow at times and many parts seemed to drag.
