Sienna Mynx is fast becoming one of my favorites. This book was explosive from the first page, and I read it straight through because I just could not put it down. Dylan and Lauren were a match made from the start. Their rivalry made them perfect for one another. The fought hard, but loved even harder; and the loving was simply off the charts. The love scenes were so vivid and explanatory....some of the best I have read. The was a second love story going on in this book between their best friends Dena and Chet. These two whoa!! Dena's background story was very touching, and the way Chet stepped up for her was great. This was a complete read. It wasn't over before it started, and had many many pages to keep it going, and never a dull moment. I'd love to read more about these 2 couples because it seems as if their story could go on a bit further....well done!

It is rare that I don't finish a book but I really came close this time. I could not stand Lauren! Lauren's habit of running off and not hearing people out annoyed the hell out of me. Other than a pretty face it was hard to find redeeming qualities in Lauren, could some explain to me what Dylan saw in her? Lauren ruined it for me. Even Dylan was less sexy because the wanted Lauren, but I was a fan of Muffin, Chet, and Dena.

Wanted to give this 2/12 stars. I am having a hard time reviewing this book because there were times that I enjoyed this book but there were times I couldn't stand it. If u love reading romance...this book is definately for u. This read is a mixture of deceit, lies, broken promises...love and the fight to make it work. Some of it made me roll my eyes and I admit, I had to skip over a few pages to get on with the story.

This was my first Sienna Mynx and inter-racial romance book I've ever read.

I really didn't like Dylan at all at first glance. Much like Lauren, I couldn't stand his chauvinism and arrogance. However by the end of the book I had a complete 180 on him (and I think I feel just a little bit in love as well). I could understand why he was so jaded and didn't have the highest opinion of women (not justifying but mommy issues). I don't know how any can not melt over a guy being in love with you for six years and going to great lengths to help your buisness. Not to mention the numerous ways he supported and showed up for her (especially when contrasted with Lauren's relationship with Monty).

And then there's Lauren who has a lot of trust issues and doesn't really have a good reason to trust in love, especially when it comes to men.

The road leading up to these two coming together was enjoyable. It didn't just happen in one day or weekend. It was six years in the making. It was nice to see Dylan do a 180 where Lauren was concerned and Lauren learning to open her heart and actually trust a man enough to love him and have that love be returned.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as the previous books. The story lagged a great deal and I couldn't really invest in the characters. I've started reading "Daisy's Choice" (the last installment of "Aiden's Game"). I really enjoyed Aiden's Game, so I'm hoping Daisy's Choice will be entertaining as well. So far, I'm still loving "Harmony" as the BEST BOOK award for Sienna Mynx.

Although it wasn't uber-fantastic, I really enjoyed reading this book.. However, I wanted and expected a little more ooomph! to it, something more along the lines of : "Adrian's Game" or better yet, "Black Butterfly." Perhaps I'm a perfectionist, but sometimes wanting "more bang for the buck" is a good thing (especially with reviews)...

Giving this one 3 fair & square stars...

This story had depth. It dealt with a lot, but in a way that you didn't become overwhelmed. This is an HEA, but it dealt with many tough and emotional issues. I will definitely check on other works by this author.

The characters can be downright histrionic. It's kind of overwhelming in the sense that u can't even go a chapter without taking a break or smacking ur forehead in frustration. I have to keep reminding myself as the reader we have a birds eye view and know all the characters thoughts as opposed to the characters who are in the thick of it and can't read minds.

Forgettable to me

First before I say a anything too negative I will state it's a good read, well written but it is not to my liking, 1st - too long winded for what I read, 2nd - it seemed too unrealistic from the male POV, 3rd - the two main characters that I read in the synopsis only told about Lauren & Dylan, but there also were Dena & Chet! 4th - because of the surprising other two characters Dena & Chet, the writing kept going from the two in between the story of Lauren & Dylan which really irritated me until 56% where I started to like Dena & Chet's interaction and relationship better then Lauren & Dylan's. For the character of Dylan, he seemed too soapy and mushy for the type of Alpha male that was portrayed, plus I like my alpha to be strong willed, silently skilled, not a blabbering tell all love devotion and Lauren too emotionally broken to be invested in a seriously committed relationship who wants an all tell political knowledge of another in a matter of days! That is something you get to find out about another person, over time, a very long time, NOT in DAYS! Reading this book just seem unrealistic, pretentious and a whim from a woman who's preference desired for a man who would bare his soul to a woman from the get go even thou he was a controller and a manipulator; it just did not sit well with me, it seemed too far fetch for the calibre of that type of man would be; so ready at the drop of the hat, to soul bearing; he would be so willingly divulge his feelings so easily and willingly without him losing his female first.....so unrealistic! Now I ain't saying another reader won't enjoy this story and the main two characters Lauren & Dylan, but for me and my taste I did not. It took me several days to read and finish this book I felt it just dragged on with too much wished chic flick dialog from the man that felt too unrealistic for a strong alpha to have said to early on in the game of catching his all time flame. There is times I read were I wish for a book to be long and not to finish to quickly, but this is not one of them for me. This author is still on my list of all time favourite and this story has not put me off from buying another book from Sienna Mynx but this book is not one of my favourite to read and will be forgettable for me within the next second.

Love After War is not my first Sienna Mynx book and I'm glad because I would have surely missed off on some of my favorite series; the Bataglia Mafia series and the Mel and Tia trilogy. That was how much I didn't enjoy this book and that was why I so grudgingly finished in matter of a week out of respect for the author.

Lauren or LB as she is called throughout the story was sort of a bitch. I can't say it lightly if I had stick of butter. She had high exceptions and when you failed to exceed or fall through those expectations she was through with you. Not the kind of person I'd like to hang with she had this dark cloud over her the whole entire book and it affected on me, the reader.

She had a grudge against the love interest Dylan because he stole her work and it was a grudge that didn't seem to ceased until a large sum of the book. Everyone has a jerk of a boss or some jackass that took credit for our work. I was angry yes but I never took years of grudges to let this hold me back, I like many others move on with my life. I mean *sheesh*

Now onto the love interest in question; Dylan wanted her because she didn't notice and or fawn over him like so many other women did. Leaving him both attracted and angry by that. I found that to be cliche and in return the love or lack of there love was puzzling. I saw more glimpses of love towards Monte than Dylan and he was only in a small number of the book. The climax I expected to happen when he came back feel flat because by then the book was almost over.

I gave this book two stars instead of the one because I really liked the romance between Chet and Dina they had passion and love that I felt while reading there scenes.

*On a side note* I didn't understand why she wanted to own the winery were her parents died not to far from. It was weird to me her father was abusive towards the mother, he went to the winery drink a ton of wine, got in the car drunk and drove. I don't know about you put if I were LB that would be the last thing I'd want to be reminded off. So why by the winery? Because you're abusive alcoholic father wanted to own one?

I like that there were two couples in the story. Lauren and Dylan were a dynamic couple. At first it seemed like they hated each other, but underneath it all they were actually attracted to each other. Dena and Chet were an interesting pair. They had a whole six year relationship on again, off again. Everything changed when Dylan became obsessed with Lauren after she saved his life and he bought a wine company that was merging with hers in order to get closer to her. Of course, Dena and Chet were there too being the best friends of Lauren and Dylan. Both couples drew closer together on Lauren's vineyard. Still it wasn't all good times. Throw in a cancer scare, death of a pet, and the return of a first love and there was many tears and drama. Lauren, Dena, Dylan, and Chet pulled through all that including the fights, lies, and plenty of love. >_<

As with most of Sienna Mynx's works, this book was very good and well written. There was a lot of emotional parts, which I definitely appreciated because a lot of other books are very superficial with only 2D characters. The only small problem with Lauren and Dylan was that there wasn't a clear delineation of two-sided romantic interest while they both worked at the same firm. Instead it came of as Dylan becoming apologetic for his actions and then turning those feelings into a full fledged obsession. A bit weird but it worked itself out. Dena and Chet's relationship was extremely emotional as well, loved it! Definitely a good book!

This book was in a word....PERFECT!!

Whose romance is it anyway??

I skipped a lot of this book. Sorry but when I spend MY hard earned money on a book I want to focus on one couple at a time. There was way too much Chet and Dena in this story. I got seriously aggravated that a huge part of the sex sciences were about Chet and Dena who were supposed to be secondary characters if the synopsis makes any sense. There is nothing wrong with having other characters to help build your book but this book felt equally theirs as well.

This book was slower than some of Sienna's books but it was such a good slow burn that turned into a great love story. I loved that it was a "real" love story that dealt with cancer scares, loss and betrayal. I hated the hero at first but grew to love how he was here for our heroine. I definitely say read this book and give it a chance it is a slow and steady build to something wonderful. I cried and mourned for the heroine’s loss at one point as if it was my own.

It was okay. I couldn't really connect with the characters, the story dragged on, and to me, everyone sounded just the same. There wasn't really a distinction in voices. The storyline could have been a lot better, but it really was okay. I just wish it didn't drag on, and that the switch between Lauren and Dylan, and Chet and Dena went a little smoother.

I know that 3stars is kinda low but I had a hard time relating or even getting into the story on this one. I felt like It should have been a little more showing the love instead of telling the love.
