type 1 diabetic lifeguard who’s in school and lives with her roommates and a cat which is making me want one myself. anyways she meets hunter since he’s the new surf instructor and immediate attraction. thankfully this book didn’t take 90% for them to fuck and it happens quickly and i love them. hunter learns all about type 1 DM and it’s so cute. then they r all on a boat for a charity event and hunters dad plans to rob the event an holds everyone at gun point. ofc all the life guards escape but it’s stressful af and katie’s blood sugar drops shocking lol. anyways they all make it alive but hunters family’s medical supply complaint (that was apparently selling faulty equipment) gets sued and shut so hunter makes his own company and lives happily ever after with katie and the cat which im obsessed with… i want a cat

Surprisingly Adrenaline rush-y!

Set in picturesque Florida, this book about a life guard and the son of a CEO is beautifully romantic. The flowery language they use to describe each other had tears welling up.
The second act is jam packed with adrenaline and nail biting suspense which came out of nowhere!
Pixel the grumpy cat is the star of the show, as is only right, and the HEA is every bit earned.
A wonderful read by a talented author 😀

romance elements are cute, pixel the cat is adorable. but my goodness, this author packed a LOT of over the top plot elements in - evil dad, corporate fraud, GUN PEOPLE PIRATES AT SEA. it was all a wild ride and pretty fun, but also a bit overstuffed.

I do like the diabetes rep, and how the FMC was legit in extra danger during the gun people at sea plot (!) coz of her condition (unlike other lifeguards, she couldn't just escape and swim to shore).

but my goodness.

characters are well written, the plot was enjoyable, even the cat was adorable.

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the characters (including Pixel the Cat) SO MUCH!! Hunter was wonderful and Katie was so fun! I loved their story and the action had me HOOKED!! Such a fun read!

This was a pretty good book! Though I had a harder time getting into this one like I did Hurricane Ryan, it was still an enjoyable read!
