When a shy and naive Country girl stumbles into the lives of two Brothers, she turns their worlds upside down.
Brothers Matthew and Brett Hastings are the proverbial odd couple. The Yin and Yang of sexuality. Where Brett wants fame and fortune, Matthew just wants her. The one. Who ever she is. And when Rebecca Flowers a shy and naïve country girl stumbles into their lives and moves into the spare room of their lavish apartment both Brothers have to face their fears. The fear of rejection from the ones they love and the fear of finding someone, then losing them forever.
Through love, laughter, friendships, family, tears and heartbreak they share love, lose love, and finally work out that love is certainly worth fighting for.
Nicole Suzanne Brown lived in sunny Queensland all her life until moving to a very small cold country town of New South Wales, and still is confused by the choice to this day. Small in stature but big in personality, she has lived in New York, the United Kingdom, spent time in an Indian Ashram and gets itchy feet every time she glances at her Passport. When not writing you can find her contemplating her navel, somewhere, in some part of the world.
Author Nicole Suzanne Brown does an amazing job of painting a picture for her readers showing both sides of life through two brothers, the straight brother Matthew, and the gay brother Brett. While Matthew's life revolves around his search for his soul mate, Brett enjoys the gay by day/drag by night party lifestyle. However, when Rebecca Flowers decides to move to the city and into the brother's apartment, she ends up changing the men's lives forever. This book is a great mixture of laughter and tears. I had a big smile on my face as I read the discussion that took place between the brothers confirming that Brett was gay. If you're a fan of romance then I think that you'll enjoy this one.
Nicole Suzanne Brown brings her characters to life in a way that you actually feel like you are right there. It is a unique look into the lives of her characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found I could not put it down till I had finished it. Would recommend this to someone who wants to take time out to let go and let life cruise by and have a good read.
You MUST read this, it's brilliant! This is one of those books you both love and hate at the same time. You love it because it's so good, you hate it because you can't put it down, but have to keep reading. I've read it once and I'll read it again, soon. The author crafts her characters and situations skilfully and with panache. I thoroughly recommend this book.
