This was such an unexpected read and a fab addition to this fun multi-author series. Ciara has been gutted with the death of her secret crush and mentor, Detective Mal. Blamed for his death, she's demoted and now obsessed with finding Tommy, whom she suspects is Mal's murderer. Anton, her lover, is not really someone she trusts.... There is so much going on in this story, layers of deception and danger. I loved the world building, mystery, twists, the edge of my seat suspense, and the incredibly steam. So hot! There are a fair variety of supernatural peeps, in here, both good and bad ;P Ciara gets her HEA but there's, fingers crossed, a lot more to come from this author to see how the over arching plot unfolds and I can't wait! Expect to be riveted to your reader when you crack this one open. Well done!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. A battle unknown comes back to Ciara after three years of her grieving for Mal. Mal is still alive and Ciara joins him and Tommy in their battle and in a relationship. I liked the descriptions of the battle they are doing.
