From the dirty mind that brought you Passing Emma , Puck It Up is an extra-spicy MFMMM+ reverse harem hockey romance.
Lola thought she had left Casper, Wyoming, and Reid Wright, in her rearview mirror. But then she's offered a great job right out of school as a sports massage therapist--for the Ice Hawks, Casper's local minor league hockey team. She returns reluctantly to her hometown to discover that the brooding ex who ghosted her five years ago is an Ice Hawks defenseman with a serious chip on his shoulder. When an old, familiar injury flares up, she has to put her personal feelings aside and do her job, no matter how much it might hurt. She has more than enough on her plate already, but that doesn't stop her from striking up a secret affair with the head coach. And when she has to work one-on-one with the injured star goalie, sparks are flying. How could she ever choose just one of these gorgeous hunks when she wants them all and, better yet, they all want her?
Okay so I’m definitely not exaggerating when I say it’s 15% plot, 85% smut. And that’s being generous. There was a HEA of course but I wish the book had been longer so we could’ve gotten to know the guys (especially Eric) better before the rushed HEA but I really did like the idea of the story. I’d probably give it 3 stars if I was expecting more plot but I knew it was crazy spicy going in. I also couldn’t bring myself to like Nate’s character by the end. The FMC described him as “the mean kid on the playground pulling my pigtails to get my attention” but he said some awful things to our FMC and his POV gave me major ick. There are no verbal declarations of love and if you’re expecting relationships based on anything but spicy times, this is not the book for you. (All except Dallas. My sweet teddy bear with major BDE)
If you like a good story, don’t read this. Author tried a plot, I think? The writing was bad and I wish I didn’t waste my time reading this. And I love hockey and RH.
This was a first read for me by Cameron Fox. It was an enjoyable read for sure. Strong FMC, that knew what she wanted and took it. There was very little plot to be had. I would have liked to see more relationship development between Lola and her guys. So if you’re looking for sexy times over romance, this is for you!!
I am usually a big fan of RH books, and I’ve even read a few with upwards of 10 love interests. That is not what turned me away from this book. It starts out with one ‘relationship’ already formed, but there is no emotional background, which is fine. I prefer a little build up but maybe it’ll come in the next relationships. No. It was just insta-lust and insta-love (maybe???) for all the not actively married characters. There’s about every relationship trope possible (and man do I usually love them all) best friends/second chance, forbidden age gap, enemies to lovers, grumpy sunshine, it’s all there and none of it is substantial! It was just disappointing that not a single character gets fleshed out. Not a single relationship had any real depth of has any meaning. Even the friendship the fmc and her best friend have is surface level.
I was left wanting more, but not more of this book

This book took me like 3 or 4 days to complete. I just wasn’t that interested but knew I needed to finish it. I would read a few pages of chapters and walk away. Wasn’t invested in any of the characters. There were too many to even understand then as an individual so it didn’t work for me.
It just wasn’t the book for me. I like fast past books but not so fast that there is not really a plot at all. I want to know how they got together not them already together.

This was just not for me, the plot was weak throughout!!! I didn’t like Lola’s character and felt 9 men was too many, to be used by 9 men at a time ( Lola’s words ) Every chapter was strongly sex based smutty which got repetitive. Lola was having sexual with 9 men all at once, I’ve read many reverse harem books but not with as many of 9 men!!! She was having sex with a man who called her a slut and expected sex and I found his behaviour to be more abuse than anything else again a turn off to read. Lola seemed to have no morals which was a turn off in reading. She was a sport masseur and was screwing half the hockey team, both at work and in their homes, and giving sex advice to the other half whom was married.
I know this is fiction but it just seemed too far fetched for me. This was a very large harem, and I sometimes found it hard to keep track of who was in it and who wasn't. I think it would have been better with just a couple of them as the book mainly featured on Will, Reid, Huck and Dallas. Several times I thought I actually don’t want to finish reading but I persevered to be able too write an honest review. I can’t recommend
OK wow! This was kind of unlike anything I’ve ever read before. I’m not even sure if I would call this a reverse harem book. It was more just like some super ho, getting her freak on. And there’s nothing wrong with that more power to her, but I kind of wish there was a little bit more relationship going on.
Don’t read this book if you’re waiting on major romance or beautiful relationships, or fated mates or a cute poly group living and loving together. All you’re gonna get here is a nymphomaniac who is fucking an entire hockey team. Which again there’s nothing wrong with but you have to change your mindset correctly to get into this and enjoy it just for what it is.
Sometimes I felt like Will was more her pimp-daddy than her actual love-daddy. And I often felt bad for Dallas and Reid. Because they were actually really in love with her. But in the end in the epilogue, we somewhat got an HEA. We didn’t actually experience it, but we were told about it. All in all, not a bad book at all, but it might not be what you’re expecting it to be so go into it with an open mind.
So I like the premise of the story line strong fmc with no cares to give about what people think of her and knows what she wants!! Love it!!! What I do not love is the disrespect Nate shows her and she still allows him to be involved I get a little degradation but there was one point where it seemed like he was just going to take it from her whether she said yes or bo without confirming with her any safe words or consent and that’s just no good. So when she allows him to participate it seems like she doesn’t have the self esteem she shows on everything else. Definitely could’ve used more character building and plot growth.
But if you’re looking for some wam bam thank you man this is your book. It has some very hot scenes that will definitely keep you up!
I enjoyed this book until a certain point. It still is a good book. Though I didnt care for how it just flipped to the darker dirtier stuff so fast. I ended up with whip lash. Like I said, I still enjoyed the over all book. Was for sure not ready for the flip. I also feel like some of the male characters just didnt seem like a good fit for the main female character. A few were close to my over all hate list for characters. Of course there is always one or so characters in a book that you just do not like. Now there is four male characters that are for sure book boyfriend material. I would like to see the relationship with the bestie and the other player from the team. I do love how the main female character helps the married couples though. That was awesome.
Okay, I really enjoyed the writing style of this book and it kept me engaged until the very end. For me, I just felt like she really only had a fully developed relationship with 3 of the many men who ended up in this arrangement. I was very sad to only get a brief recap of the beginning of what ended up being my favorite relatioship. Thankfully, we do spend more time on that relationship throughout the book. Again, I really enjoyed it, but I feel like it needed to be longer. For a very large harem, 277 pages just isn't enough content for a fully flushed-out story. There were many instances in this book where we went from 0 to 100 and I literally had to ask myself out loud what the heck was happening right now.
Y’all, this ain’t for me, but damn did I enjoy trying it out. From what I can tell, some minor line edits were done, but I do like my steamy stories to have a little more believability and developmental strength than this. Still, despite some weird sentences and spelling errors, the steam was top notch.
And yes, I understand the irony of wanting “believability” in these kinds of stories. I’m talking plot believability (one of my curses is the ridiculousness of sports romances) and story, not necessarily the whole sleeping with half a hockey team. I cannot stress how on board I am with RH stories, relationships, etc. Insert the lamp theory for a good third of the guys she was banging and you'll see why I was so disappointed in the character development
If you’re looking for some spice, this is the book for you every single page was smut, just pure spice and not only with one main character. Let me just say is gonna be DD all the way till the last page this book had me hot and bothered. I could’ve put it down even though I tried I stayed up until 12 in the morning just wanting to know how they’re going to team tagger again I die laughing at the same time because this was not your ritualistic reverse harem. This was something else. This was something out of of a 🥧movie. If you cash my drift, you will want to put this down if you enjoy hockey romances that always wanted a little bit more out of it. Definitely read this book 100% recommend.
I saw a snippet of this book on twitter (the penalty box scene….) and picked it up after the curiosity bug bit.
Jesus. There’s the thinnest attempt at a plot I’ve ever seen, it’s 84% smut. Very little character development for the guys, which was a shame because they started to blend together (especially towards the end when the book became pretty much sex scene to sex scene).
I had seen that there was an HEA so I kept reading for the morbid curiosity of how the FUCK this book was going to end. And wow it certainly did end on the wildest note that I’ve ever read.
The most redeemable character in the whole story was Dallas, who DESERVES BETTER!
Okay so I’m usually fine with smut and romance and a whole gaggle of different tropes. This book finally had me finding my limit. I’ve read other hockey romance books with the why choose trope and there ended up being a foursome which was new to me but wasn’t a pain to read. However… this book. Girlllllllll it was going great until there was about eight different guys doing ungodly things to the same girl at the same time… I have finally found where I draw my line. It’s this book.
99% just pure spice! I honestly could not put this book down! The writing was great, but just really rushed, in my opinion. Nate was ick, like we needed more from him! We had very little relationship development, but there was never any promise of that in the book, so I'm not mad. This was a really nice quick read with spice and good vibes!
This delivered more plot and relationship development than I was expecting, but I was expecting pretty much none. Still, she did a decent job of creating a relationship with Dallas and Reid. I would like to have seen more development of her chemistry with Xander and even Huck. And she portrayed Nate a bit inconsistently - he behaved like a dick, but then he would be observant to what she was craving during their group sex and be the one to come meet that need, and he was outraged on her behalf and jumped into that fight along with Reid, but THEN it seems like when he grabbed her wrist in the apartment . So, was he a bad boy who was spicy, or was he an ass? I feel like the author couldn't make up her mind.
So the spice was great, the plot exceeded my expectations even though I would love to have had more. The author did not do a good job writing the DP scenes, because in two of the three there was no preparation, no lube. Not cool. And there was literally zero mention of condoms, testing for STDs, birth control, etc. Everything else spice wise was fine and there was always consent.
So if you are needing a fast read that is full of spice but has some basic plot and likable characters, you'll do fine with this one.
This was a cute spicy quick read. I liked how it gave you back stories of the players she was with but I also wish it gave more. I felt a lot was left unsaid with Nate and some of the other guys. She had 3 or 4 main guys but was with around 9 of them on the team.
This one was ok. I’m a massage therapist and there was so stuff that irked me about this book. I understand it’s a work of fiction but being a professional, again just rubbed me wrong. I love smut and reverse harem but this one the dynamic was just old and off. This is just my opinion so read it and make your own judgements.
If you’re for a bit of hockey and a lot of spice, then read on. If you like more than a slice of plot this may not be the book for you. Lots of spice though and many more than your usual number of why choose partners.
Lola is hired as he sports masseuse where her ex Reid plays but she’s determined to stay calm and ignore him . The tension between them gets worse when Reid finds out she’s pucking the coach . Reverse harem , friends to lovers to enemies to lovers , age gap.
