What a fantastic collection of short stories!
You'll have to be able to understand Norwegian to enjoy this one (I don't think it's been translated yet), but if you do, I highly recommend it!
Jarl Wåge has collected a series of stories in this book that were original verbal performances that earned him a bunch of rewards at a spoken word festival. After winning, he realized more people would be able to enjoy his words if he wrote them down.
And he was right! It's a great collection of wise, humoristic, heart-felt and teachable stories, from a man who's lived a lot and seen even more. There's tales of childhood, growing up, seeing the world, dealing with family, about coming out, about LGBT issues, about love, about making a career, and about being useless when it comes to doing practical things around the house. Honestly, it's brilliant, and there's definitely something in here that you'll enjoy!
