Jack e Dave

Rate this book

One of the most unrealistic, smut filled pieces of crap I have read in a LONG time. Why Mr. Simpson keeps on writing is beyond me. Whenever he throws a bitch fit he always says...THIS IS THE LAST. I QUIT. And then more garbage spews forth. Avoid this book like the plague.

The men are insta-lust filled, wanna be bad boys. While the villain is a wanna be mafioso type who will not take no for an answer...but gives up all too easily without doing the stuff you'd expect someone like him would. And stupidly describe sex at every turn may turn SOME people on...but it ruins a book in my opinion.

This is some crap you'd expect to read at a sleazy site like Nifty. Not a paid piece of literature.

I made the mistake of buying this as an audiobook. I was hoping for a good book while I did chores.

Authors & publishing companies must pay for great narrators. This is not the time to go cheap because you definitely get what you pay for...remedial reading.

I've only gotten through 30 minutes & I can't do anymore. It's a FIVE HOUR plus audio.

2 stelle e 1/2

I read this book because I really like Condor One. This was no condor one. To say it was trite was an understatement. Heck the villian could have been Snidley Whiplash. It was just that cliche. All the stuff that sent off warning bells to me while reading Condor One were magnified in this book, a thousandfold. I'm not even a good enough writer to express how bad it was.

I think it is the first time I rate a book with just 1 star.

I tried, really tried, but the unrealistic, narcissistic, super-shallow ways of the plot were not to my taste at all. The characters were flat, stereotypical and so uninteresting that I couldn't relate or care about them. I'm sorry, but that is my personal opinion.

Also, the narrator... did not help the story. It was monotonic and lacked emotion on any kind, even the sex was boring =(

This book was not at all what I thought it would be, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I know the old adage "Don't judge a book by it's cover" should be respected, but looking at the cover picture of this book I thought the story would take place during the mid-twentith century. Wrong! It's current. None the less, it is a good story and I enjoyed it a lot.
