Tyson has been eying Lexie for years, harboring a deep attraction for her, but he refused to take it any further than that until she became legal. The problem was, the moment she did, she moved away to the big city, leaving him behind. Plus, it doesn't help matters that he works for her father, or that he's not exactly a gentleman in the bedroom. Tyson likes his kink, and he's not so sure Lexie can handle that side of him. When Lexie returns home after graduating, Tyson retreats, but when his friend bets him he can't land Lexie, declaring that if he fails, it's open season on the young woman, Tyson has no choice but to take the offer. Little does he know, Lexie has been pining away for him for years.
This started off strong and ended pretty flat for me. Tyson was a great character with a great voice. I instantly liked him. I don't think Lexie came off quite as endearing. At any rate, the hint of a history between them was enough to drive the story forward, but when it came down to Lexie, apparently still a virgin, her eagerness to accept him and the tales of debauchery she's heard about town (apparently he's warmed just about every bed available!)she isn't the least bit leery or turned off. Quite the opposite actually. Tyson's bedroom kink turned out to be nothing more than a threat to bind her, and when the proverbial crap hit the fan and Lexie uncovered the bet, it all just flopped.
This is the way I see it: The author had a solid story, for the most part, and then she hit a wall where she decided it could go two ways, drag it out or end it quick. Granted, this is supposed to be a short story, but it would have benefited from a little more information before it was cleaved off in a rush to resolve it. It was literally, "You bet you could get me into your bed? I never want to see you again!" Lexie runs off, Tyson decides to let her have her space. Fast forward to an unknown date where Lexie is apparently manning a contest. Tyson approaches her, and after a few choice words, demands she tell him she loves him, and old woman tells her she should, and she does and they live happily ever after. It was too neat, too clean and way too rushed. Part of the fun is the chase, and there wasn't any chase to be had that I could see.
Overall, a decent read, enough to entertain me, but it could have been better.

To my surprise I found out that Kennedy Kovit is a pen name of Mandy Roth - and I understood why I loved the writting style.
Tyson has been in love/ in lust with Lexie for years, but he didn't want to pursue her was "legal" (I still wander what legal it is). His problem was that Lexie moved away to Boston. Left behind he didn't lack women and he dived in his fantasies/ kink.
Tyson enjoys his kink but he is not sure that she Lexie can handle. When Lexie is back the both give in to the attraction.
I didn't really get Lexie's point. No sex in so many years, but interested in kink.

Old and new love interest
Tyson has always had the hots for Lexie, the boss’s daughter but she was too young. After four year away at collage lexie is hotter then ever. His friend bets him he’s too afraid to make a move on her. Tyson’s worried his taste in the bed will scare her off. But if she finds out about the bet will it destroy any thing they have started. Well written and very hot story to read that’s very entertaining.

Quick short read.
This book was a free read. I knew when I purchased this book that the storyline would be fairly predictable but it was still a fun light read. I enjoyed the characters.
The 3 stars rating is due to some typing errors and shortness of the book.
I will be looking to see about the other books in this series.

Short & to the point.

Started off ok and then just kind of falls short at the end. Short and a little spicy but a bit tame compared to how it is presented. He is meant to be kinky in the bedroom but we don’t see anything, just hearsay really. More about what they might be willing to try later on if they start dating. Also him by the lake at the start, I mean really! What starts as ‘oh he is probably about to swim naked in the lake’ turns into ‘oh ok he is doing something else entirely after seeing a certain someone in a bikini’.
Tyson has more back and forth with his mate than he actually has with talking to Lexie. Said mate being the one to bet him to sleep with Lexie in the first place; pushing him into doing something he’s wanted to do for years as his feelings grew but not until she was old enough. Also a bit weird/amusing that Lexie’s father knows exactly what Tyson is like – knows his feelings for his daughter also – and pretty much tells her that she should marry him so he can help with the ranch and keep her there.
Tyson was a stronger character than Lexie as felt she came off without much of a backbone at the end. She was well within her right to be pissed off with him and should have made him work for it more with trying to explain himself, which he doesn’t even really do. Airing your issues in public knowing she won’t want to get into it was a bit underhanded, regardless of what he was offering her. Will he get her on side or lose what he has always wanted?
I know it was a short story but think it would have benefited from at least a couple more chapters to expand the characters a bit more. It was a quick read to chill with but not enticing enough to get me to continue with the series.

3 1/2 stars, This was a pretty good book it started out great but the book ended fast, I'm talking about turbo speed fast and I think had the author added even two more pages to the end I would have liked it better. The writing was good I liked the storyline as well as the characters and for that I am sure I will continue with this series.
Tyson has lived in Middlefield and on the Garnes ranch since he was a young boy, he has learned a lot and come to love Mr. Garnes so his daughter Lexie is off limits even if she is all he can think about. But when Lexie comes home from college Tyson knows it will take all of his strength to stay away. When Tyson's friend makes it impossible to not go after Lexie Tyson can't deny that he is happy to finally claim her.
Lexie has always wanted Tyson but he has never wanted her and actually pushed her away when she made her move, and her father has made it known that she is to stay away from every man that works on the ranch. So she can't believe her ears when her father tells her that he wants Tyson and her together. When Lexie and Tyson get together it's explosive and they quickly realize that they never stopped loving each other. But when Lexie overhears Tyson and his friend it may be the end for them both.
This was a steamy fast read. with the exception of the ending it was a great story. I really liked Tyson and Lexie and the side characters, their story was just as great and made me interested in getting all of their story and reading their book. Overall this was a fun streamy easy read.

This a novella and first in the Blazing Heart series. This book should have been longer since a lot has been left out and the ending was too neat. Tyson has had a crush on the boss' daughter, Lexie for the past 7 years, but felt she was too young to do anything about it. After returning home from college Lexie wants one thing and that is Tyson, but he doesn't believe he is good enough for her or that she could handle the kind of kink he is into. He has no idea how wrong he is. After make no a bet with his best friend, Tyson decides to after Lexie when she finds out about the bet she of course is very upset which is no wonder. I think this was an excellent story, but was upset because I felt she forgave him to easy and he never explained why he made the bet in the first place. I wish we also had more background information on the characters, but all in all this was a good book. This book also talks about how the H and his friend are into BDSM, but we never see it except for a "spanking" and so I think this should have been left out of the story because the H doesn't see himself in this type of relationship with the h. Overall this was a good story.

She is all growed (that was intentional, it’s a country thing and goes with the book) up and the only thing stopping him from pursuing her now is his rough in bed manners. Not to big but not too little that was the best way to describe Middlefield.

She has had it bad for her father's foreman since high school. Tyson has great respect for his boss, the man who changed his life when Tyson went to work for him as an abused teen. The author deals with the here and now and a possible future. We see enough of each character to care. The scene at the celebration when Tyson confronts Lexis is a chuckler.

Ok...so there wasn't any real kink in this book. I mean he spanked her but it was more like play spanking and not the BDSM type. He never ended up tying her up...at least in the book he didn't. This was an average story. Nothing too special about it. Boring in some parts but it wasn't bad. I thought Lexie forgave him a little too easily but hey its a short story so naturally everything was rushed. I'm surprised her father was so OPEN to letting his foreman seduce his virgin daughter. Just saying that was weird. Then at the armadillo sign up thingy Tyson and Lexie aired their business and I mean everything. The ending was too abrupt. So, some unrealistic aspects but like I said its a short story and not perfect and its a fantasy. I've read better but still not bad. Wont continue reading the series because it didn't really keep my interest much.

A cute short that will have you wanting your very own cowboy to lasso you and tie you to his bed. Tyson has a dark past, full of many unspoken hurts and an even darker secret that's not so much a secret. But he does have a secret he's been hiding for many years, one that only a few people know of. Lexie has been in love with her father's foreman since she can remember, and not even four years of college in Boston could change the way her heart feels about him. The only problem she has now is how will she ever get him to notice her, to take her serious, and maybe, just maybe, make him a one woman man? If only she knew just how much Tyson loved her in return. Will these two ever manage to take those feelings and finally get together?
Well written and a plot that is easily followed, this book has a steady pace and doesn't read as rushed. Looking forward to the next in the series.

This book short as it was truly one of the most sweetest sexiest Love story's I have read in a long time .Tyson Morrows was a ranch hand that work for Lexie Garnes father .Now Tyson has been in love with Lexie since for ever, just as Lexie had the hots for Tyson .One problem both never had the guts to act on it .When Lexie came back from School Tyson finally has the courage to do something about it ....it's now or never kind of situation that might get both into a lot of trouble since neither one knows what to expect

This is a short but very well written story. Tyson has been in love with Lexie for years. However, he refused to act on it because of their age difference. That and because he is in to kinky bedroom play. He believes what he wants is too much for Lexie to handle. Lexie has loved Tyson for years and knows what he wants. She saved herself for him and will stop at nothing to have him. It is a great story I just wish we had more at the end. He places a bet with his friend Jake and when she overhears them she doesn't react as much as I thought she would.

Lexi grew up on her dads ranch watching and dreaming of Tyson , and he don't know she exist, so she thought. Tyson had a bad childhood and came to the ranch as a broken teenager. He has been watching Lexi for years but knew he wasn't good enough for her. This is a great passionate story about love that has endured the years and miles apart. This story is sweet and hot all at the same time, and a must read.

This book starts out with Tyson making a bet with his friend. He thinks he can get the girl he has been lusting after who happens to be his bosses daughter. Yep, that does seem to spell disaster and trouble! I enjoyed this book and it was a great quick read my only complaint is it is so short. I really wanted to know more, but I don't think it would ever be long enough. I really enjoy the writing style and even though it is short it flows very well.

I was not thrilled by this book...i can't even say i liked it...
too short,too easy i had the plot figured out from the third or fourth page...even the problems that appeared and disappeared just like that.
It could have been much better if it has more development.

Quick read
This book is full of action to where you just keep turning the page. However there isn't much mystery to it. The book is extremely predictable, leaving little surprises for you. The few erotic scenes are H O T I'm telling you! I just wish there was more of a story here.

Wanting Lexie for years, He takes on a bet to seduce the bosses daughter. Although she had gone away and come back, he’s not sure she can handle his kink. I enjoyed this story and understood why I enjoyed it so much when I discovered it’s a pen name for Mandy Roth. Love her writing.
