Salto temporale, Second chance, Forbidden (specie diverse), amnesia, he trains her, vι0lεnza, insta lust e love,it's always been you.
Speriamo ahahah

Heavenly, Hellishly Almost Ever After

Spoiler Free. I was very fortunate to receive an advanced copy (ARC) of this book.

We join Zoe, now known as Chaya the Angel. But heaven isn't all it's cracked up to be. Even wiped of her human memories Zoe is still the woman we have loved since book one. But come on! What a gip! Her days are not all fluffy clouds and cocktails supped to a choir of harps.

She is a lowly "Virtue" a rank that means she gets the privilege to serve a higher ranking Angel by shovelling Unicorn poop in the stables all day.... Yeah Unicorns are of heaven but in no way heavenly. They are not like the sweet and sparkly version you expect as they are ornary and have the tendency to skewer their attendants and to bury you in their poop. Honestly Zoe/Chaya has learned that to live in heaven you have to serve.

Zoe/Chaya has to tend with the monotony of her live of service but with all the aplomb of her clumsy and uproarious humour. Although she doesn't remember her life before she has this inate need to find out, shes curious.

But she's not alone in Heaven, she has a roommate called Bifiel, yeah who knew you'd have to bunk with someone. She's a bonified Angel, chosen for her good deeds she earned on Earth who just doesnt gel with Zoe/Chaya at all. But she doesnt let that get her down afterall she has a friend in Naamah, a Seraph who doesn't mind spending time with her, who indulges her curiosity of all things Earth by getting her books, pictures and even a phone with movies in it. Its all contraband of course, privileges such as this and visits to Earth are rare and not for one such as her. But Naamah holds such a sway among her heavenly host that she gets a pass for her antics, having Lucifer the King of Hell as your father helps alot.

Infact their friendship is a mystery to Zoe/Chaya who is so far away in rank and power but Naamah takes her under her wing *winks*

Unbeknownst to Zoe/Chaya, Naamah is her mother-in-law. Who's entry to heaven was orchestrated as a peace pact between Heaven and Hell to avert Lucifers wrath over the assassination of his millenials old squeeze Lillith. Ooft. I mean that was ALOT and trust me it all comes in to play later...

But Zoe/Chaya might have been dealt a cruddy hand in her new life but a way to get better perks and power is to learn to fight. But she hasnt been successful in the competitions to earn power. So the ever helpful Naamah sets her up with a tutor by the name of Aziel, to teach her the basics and get her skills up. So when she shows up to cave where she is to train, she encounters the most beautiful being shes ever seen... he literally makes her forget the protocol of dropping to her knees. He's that gorgeous. Of course she has no idea he's not an angel but her beloved husband Azazel...

I loved the set up of these chapters. Nadine Mutas has a way of building the exposition so that your brought into the story so well and from her characters perspective. But more so in this 3rd book because not only do we go through this journey with Zoe we now get Azazel's perspective as well.

In Zoe's journey, it's her reconciliation of her new life as an Angel in heaven whilst having memories lived out in dreams that she thinks are premonitions not realising that they are memories being brought to the fore. Intensely so because Azazel/Aziel is triggering those memories by being in her presence and recreating some of their shared moments from their year together.

It's so beautiful as well because it becomes a new courtship between them with all the same passion, humour and intensity they had from book one.

Azazel's perspective is so intense and full of the tension he has for Zoe that is so consuming and epic but has to be tempered because the stakes are too high. For Azazel to even be in heaven under the guise of being her trainor he has to smother his demon half and hide it under his Angel half. The scenes between Zoey and Azazel and their mutual appreciation of each other's wings was beautiful.

Finding out it has been 8 years since Azazel made the deal for Zoe's soul to ascend to heaven to become an angel was a shock. Whilst Zoe has been unaware of her previous life and been mired in Unicorn poop. Azazel has been lost without her and his soul purpose for these long years has been to orchestrate the plan with Naamah to be in that cave as her tutor. You feel his desire and despair being with her in secret all whilst having to purposely break up her world as she knows it to get back the Zoe he loves and of course us readers.

Again no spoilers, only layers of retelling their love story with all the best nods to book one. We also get to know Naamah who reminds you so much of Asmodea. Or as Naamah would say where do you think she got it from?

There is alot more insight into Naamah and Azrael which I liked. After all the Angel of death may be a cruddy father but without him Zoe would not have been made an angel and that was the pivitol to this story. Both characters really captured that tension that comes from Azrael's betrayal and Naamah's love and support to help bring Zoe and Azazel back together. Both have very particular roles to play in this book. But I'd like to say that although Azazel's sister Azmodea, nephew Mammon, Mephisto and my favourite 3 headed hellhound Vengeance aren't in this book as they are all still in hell. They are mentioned which made me *sigh*

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as always it brings the fantasy, steamy scenes and hilarious comedy. Shout out for Zoe's love of pop culture it is refreshingly funny and breaks the high tension in the culmination of the story... with the Twilight commentary and Die Hard. I will never forget the "You Hans Gruber’d me!" I will deffo use that in future!

Just like "Till Heaven Do Us Part", "Hell Over Heels" leaves us on another Cliffhanger... Why Nadine? Why??

The only recourse is to re-read all 3 books and wait for the 4th and final book... I'm holding you to your promise Nadine that it's definitely the end. My poor heart can't take it. Roll on November and give us the Happily Ever After - with a good dose hellishly Ever After too!

The weakest book in the series.

Hell over Heels is my least favorite so far, all the funny situations that I liked so much in the previous books are missing here.

Eight years have passed, but you don`t get any insight into what happened in that time.
Well, Zoe doesn`t remember who she was, but it could have be written from Azazels POV.
How was the apocalypse in NY explained/covered up?
What happened with Zoe`s best friend? Did the demon, who she used as a mail men, bring her to hell?
How does Venny deal with the situation? .....

The whole book is filled about the politics of heaven.
90% of the book is about heaven and its hierarchy, BUT 90% of action takes place in the last two chapters.

The series should have been released as a triology, as planed, this book just drag it out unnecessarily.
Disappointing!

more like 3.7 stars but i rounded up!

i really liked the premise of this book and especially was looking forward to it after book 2's cliffhanger. and for the most part, i liked it! i did think the setting taking place in heaven was kinda meh because it's really not that exciting and we don't really get to know the realm too deeply but i loved the idea that azazel had to drop everything he knew about being a demon and embrace the half of him he detested all so that he could see zoe again. their re-encounter was so sweet and funny and i loved the moments where he was 'aziel' so that he could jog zoe's memory. i'm not usually a fan of dual pov but i thought it was sweet here because you could really see his restraint and anguish but also hope in seeing zoe.

i thought it was hilarious that zoe thought her dreams were visions of the future than memories of her past-- honestly, it's not a bad assumption because everyone keeps telling her no one remembers their past. it's funny that she got so confident around azazel despite him being a 'stranger' to her because she thought/knew the would bang later. talk about ego boost.

i kind of wish we got a little more of their training sessions/encounters before the big reveal because i really like reading azazel trying to toe this line between being patient but also aggressive in getting zoe to remember.

i loved that we got to know azazel's parents better and that they both befriended zoe! it's nice to see his mom all whole and healed and be a family figure that zoe desperately needed. even azriel -- such a surprise that he was the reason zoe's memories never disappeared and though he was never a good dad, he got his redemption arc. i kind of saw his death coming but i wish it was avoidable because there was genuine guilt and shame that he lived with because of his actions.

i prefer the hell characters over heaven's because they had more character and we got to know them better!

I enjoyed this book a lot but the tone of the story kind changes from the previous books since we spend more time in Heaven. There was a time skip that I also didn't realize at first but was ok with it but I felt like we missed some of Zoe's initial reaction at becoming an Angel. I also kind of missed the fun animal interactions, as much as the unicorn scenes were fun, I wanted more complexity? Or to see more creatures. lol

I feel this book was an interesting interlude story that I don't feel was developed as much as the previous books. A lot of things happened that is necessary to the development of the story but maybe I wanted to see how Heaven was different from Hell but mostly we see Azazel trying to win Zoe back. I'm not mad about it, there was lots of fun and steamy scenes, but I think some details were glossed over for focusing more on their relationship than Zoe developing as an Angel.

While I still thoroughly enjoyed this book, I think it really leads to the build up of the next book. I was kind of sad by the death at the end and the betrayal really hit me hard. Ack that cliffhanger! I'm dying to know what happens next!

4 out of 5 rating for me!

(An ARC was provided for an honest review. I leave this review voluntarily.)

Where do I start? After the heartbreak I felt at the end of book 2, I have been waiting for this book! I had so many questions; how would Zoe and Azazel meet, how will they fall in love again, what is going to happen now that Zoe is an angel?? Suffice to say, Nadine answered them, and more, and honestly i loved it.
I wish I was skilled in writing a review, because I can't express enough how much I enjoyed Zoe's journey. Even though she has to navigate her way through her new life with no memories, the clumsy, feisty Zoe we all love was still there, only this time, she comes out so much more stronger, and more trusting in herself and her capabilities.
Added bonus... We get to read from Azazel's POV as well!
The cliffhanger had me sit upright - here i was, thinking I had a couple more chapters to go, reading happily and then bam, that was the end of HOH. I cannot wait for the final book, but in the meantime, I'll be reading book 1 again - it's my absolute favourite from this series.
If you haven't read book 1 and 2, it is imperative you do so. If you have, then what are you waiting for? Happy reading!

Wow! Just wow. This book was well worth the wait! I absolutely adore Zoe & Azazel, and Hell Over Heels delivers what Nadine promised in the important notice at the beginning: their love story 2.0.

If I could have, I would have read this book in one go (alas, RL intervened). But I did lose sleep because I had a hard time putting it down. The story development, the twists and turns, the main characters (well, duh, of course), the side characters (Azazel's mother, Naamah, most of all), the subplot, the spice... everything kept me turning the pages. I wanted to see what would happen next yet didn't want the book to end at the same time.

We get more Azazel POV, too. So if you're into dual POV, this book delivers as well. Plus, Zoe develops into a kick-ass heroine who takes action, which makes for a fast-paced, action-packed read.

The cliffhanger is a natural stopping point in the storyline and not as devastating as the one at the end of book two. It'll still jump up and grab you by the throat and you'll still end up impatiently waiting for the last part, but you may not curse Nadine as much as at the end of book two. ;)

This is the third, but not the final book in the Infernal Covenant series.

”I was as a human before being turned into an angel.”

And side bar: Being an angel sucks. 🦄 💩

Summary - without names to avoid spoilers

Living her best, albeit boring, angel life, our female protagonist 👀 is focused on climbing the ranks to escape her annoying roommate and the never-ending task of cleaning up unicorn crap. But everything changes when a mysterious, handsome figure appears, throwing her world into chaos. As she gets to know him, she realizes there's an undeniable connection—one that feels like it’s been years in the making. While falling for him, she begins to question whether the feelings go beyond mere attraction….

To be clear this still follows the story of Zoe and Azazel but in a different light.

Review

While the book is lighthearted and humorous, it also explores themes of self-discovery, connection and deceit, making it surprisingly meaningful. Hell Over Heels is a fantastic choice for anyone who loves a witty, romantic escape with a touch of fantasy and plenty of smut to keep things sizzling. It’s the kind of book that’ll have you laughing, swooning, and questioning your own life choices.

I really enjoyed seeing a different side to Azazel and meeting new and old characters.

Hell’s Bell’s!

Wow! What a fabulous addition to a fantastic series so far. I’ve really been enjoying this series so I was very much looking forward to this book and I consumed it like a starving woman after a fast being offered a feast! This is not the final book, there is one more to conclude Zoe and Azazel’s story and holy moly - what a story. So many rollercoasters I’m not sure whether to be exhilarated or vomit from the somersaults my stomach has been doing! Loveable characters, sizzling chemistry and a decent storyline to do them justice and sink your teeth into. These books are exciting, exhilarating and full of suspense, action, passion and romance. This series is a must read and I’m very much looking forward to what’s to come in the next book. Nadine has fast become a ‘go to’ read for me and I will happily read these books over and over again.

Mostly spoiler free:

I swear Nadine is trying to kill me. My heart was pounding in my chest for most of this book, and I loved every minute of it.

The only thing better than watching a couple fall in love is watching them fall in love again. While the first 2 books were more of an emotional roller as Zoe & Azazel came to terms with their feelings for each other and building a life together, HOH is definitely a more action packed adventure that will keep you page turning (and maybe screaming at the last page as it ends on another cliffhanger).

Zoe really comes into her own in the book and realises she is capable of far more than she could ever imagine. I especially loved getting more of a dual POV than the previous books as I love the inside to Azazel's thoughts.

I really resonant with Zoe's brand of humour, I think in part because my brain is also full of squirrels on drugs (sorry, slight spoiler).

I cannot wait to read the conclusion of the series, although I'm sure I will be distraught when it's over. Bring on October!

Without words

I have but one word to describe this ending it’s shit. Why? Because Lucifer her grandfather in law just claimed her as one of his fallen instead of his beloved. Why? That’s a good question but I have my theories. Again, all throughout this book. I just couldn’t leave. In between, breaks or moments, I read and read. Every phrase of the book putting more draw for me to keep reading. Really this whole series of four book is keeping you on your toes. Such richness in emotions. It al felt so real for me. I wasn’t a reader only, I was literally immersed in the universe and inside the book. Real amazing the way the author is capable of pulling that off. Hats off to Nadine. Good book!

Holy cliffhanger, Batman!

I am so glad I started this series when I did because I would have lost my mind with the anticipation. How did you early readers survive?! I also wish Goodreads had voice recording so y'all could get the full experience of me losing. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN, but I let my guard down and look at where we are now?
Anyways, book 3 in the series is just as good as the second and first...seeing that love transcends...*tears*
The redemption of a certain father...
Plot twist galore!
I just... these characters are my family now. I am anxious for that last book but not ready to say goodbye.

I absolutely love this series!! Every time a new book comes out I reread the other books and each time I fall more in love with these characters. I loved, loved, loved having Azazeal’s point of view - it gave the story so much more depth by expanding on his character.

This book has so much more action than the first two with a lot of plot twist and excitement that had my heart going the whole time! There is a cliffhanger, but she knows that in her review… I don’t like cliffhanger, but I’m so excited there’s a fourth book so I will take it! I cannot wait until the next book is out!

Hell Over Heels is a heart thrilling, nail biting, standing over a cliff adventure in the third Infernal Covenant series that left me completely taken by surprise! This book was a work of art with the characters, the scenes and the many twists. I couldn't believe how immersed I got once I started thus. It was nearly impossible to pull myself out. Now I'm anxious for the 4th one. Well done Nadine Mutas! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!

Io li amo!!!!! Amo capito?

This one def was more plot based than the previous 2 in the sense this book felt like one big buildup. Jeez, that was jampacked with plot!!
