Exceedingly dull. Copyright 1960? Surely there is a more relevant alternative that CELTA can recommend? Oi. There's a section on familiarizing yourself with your tape recorder. Jesus.
Nevermind the authors' inability to predict the advent of smartphones from 60ish years in the past, do we really need a whole section on familiarizing ourselves with equipment? How about just the sentence "make sure you know how to use the equipment before getting into the classroom"? Eh? Rather than "some types of chalk are better than others..." OMG.

It does give good advice, though for the most part it seems like common sense. Although helpful, it's overly prescriptive & tedious to read.
