After a shocking admission by Archer Rhys, Skye Morrison and the rest of The Mausoleum's vampire crew have to deal with the aftermath of Houston business owner and fellow vampire Greyson Mead's murder. A gruesome discovery in Skye's driveway forces her out of her house and temporarily into Archer's lakeside mansion with her co-workers Trey, Hunter, Quinn, Seamus, Lochlan, Jameson, and of course the ever jealous Aoife. Skye must now live under the same roof with the two men she wants most and things are bound to get complicated. With a psychotic murderer on the loose hell bent on killing vampires and the appointed army of The Faithful having no luck in finding them, will Skye's new boss and co-workers live to see next week? Will Skye make it out of Archer's mansion alive?
J. L. McCoy currently writes Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance and is the author of the Amazon Best Selling Skye Morrison Vampire Series. She resides in the great state of Texas with her family, their opinionated Pekiweenie Isabel, and “Big Boy” Strike. She is a self-proclaimed book nerd, sushi addict, metal head, and body art junkie.
In this second installment of The Skye Morrison Vampire series we pick up right where we left off. Skye is know working for Archer and she seems to have it all. She has her friends and she has the two men that she loves. What more can a girl ask for? Well everything is not what it seems and when Archer tells Skye a secret he has been holding it is a game changer for her and she is not sure what to do about it. If matters could not be worse Skye and the gang find out that one of Houston's business owners and a big wig in town Greyson Mead is dead. Lord what is going on?
Then Skye goes home one day to find something very wrong and gruesome in her driveway and she is forced to go stay with Archer and the guys and guess who is staying there to...... Yes you guessed it Jameson! What a love triangle because she wants them both and they have made it clear they want her. But who will she choose? Who is better for her? She is in Archers home and the guys are all there so maybe just maybe she may not have to choose right away. She better decide though because I have a feeling Archer is not in the mood and habit of sharing.
Archer and Jameson and the gang have much more pressing matters to worry about and that is there is a crazy vampire killer on the lose and he will stop at nothing in order to kill all the vampires.Who is this vampire killer? Where is he? What is doing? Why does he want to kill all the vampires? And is Archer and Jameson in serious danger?
Find all these answers and more in this sequel! Man it is full of action and a little romance but dam if Archer and Jameson don't steal my heart and breathe away in this book!
Sins of the Father is book #2 in the Skye Morrison Vampire Series. I enjoyed this one even more than I did the first!
Skye gets an up close look into the dark side of the supernatural world. She learns that some of her friends have been keeping things from her and that not everyone is what they seem. Skye has several different men wanting to date her. Who will she choose?
Sins of the Father has less editing issues and is less "wordy" than the first book. Both of which make for a better read.
When I got to the last page I found myself upset that we didn't get that last conversation between two of the main characters. Of course, that just means I'll be one of the first in line to buy the third book!
I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in the Sky Morrison series. I bought it this morning and I just finished it. I read pretty quick, but I have to say J.L. McCoy has a fantastic imagination. The story was action packed, full of twists and turns that I definitely enjoyed. And the love triangle between the Skye, Archer and Jameson has been really interesting, I am on the fence on who to root for!!!! She also introduced some new characters and I am interested to see where they end up in the story moving forward. I am so excited to read the next installment!!!! Keep them coming!!
Love this book and the series, am so happy who Skye choose to be with, I could not put this book down I just love this series, Can't wait to read the third book and i know it will be awesome like the first two. Skye goes through a lot in this book, she finally choose's the person she wants to be with. These books you can't put down that's how good they are. J.L. McCoy is an awesome author, i just love her books, if you haven't read her books you need to there awesome. I bet the third book is going to be even more awesome!!!!
Skye's story continues in this one ...I was pissed at her choice between Archer and Jameson!! She should have confronted him instead of making a hasty decision!! I guess if she didn't choose wrong (in my humble opinion) then it wouldn't have been as entertaining as it was...
Skye Morrison and her gorgeous vampire guys are back in Sins of the Father. Goth, vampires, wolfs, OH MY! When Blood of the Son ended it ended on a cliff hanger with us guessing what would happen next. Sins of the Father picks right up where the first book left off.
Archer Rhys friend and business associate Greyson Mead, was found brutally murdered and dismembered while visiting the popular night club The Mausoleum, in the curtained off PVIP lounge with a message carved into his torso “THE BLOOD OF THE SON SHALL PAY FOR THE SINS OF THE FATHER”. What kind of person could kill an elder, without being seen or heard?
With other vampires being found just like Greyson, brutally murdered, it can only mean one thing. There is a vampire, or similar blood drinking creature, out there consuming vampire blood and leaving no witness. With An Dilis “The Faithful”, which is the equivalent of the human military being calling in, everyone knows this is serious.
Never knowing who could be next, Skye and Jameson finally give into what they are feeling. Skye finding out that Archer is married to Aoife, and having caught them in a compromising position, broke Skye’s heart and opened it up for Jameson. Letting her feelings for Jameson be known, giving herself to him and giving her blood to him, they bond in ways she could never have fathomed.
A perfect night with Jameson ends and they wake up to both of their vehicles destroyed and two heads lying in in the front seat of Skye’s car. One of the heads is Skye’s ex-stalker boyfriend. What did he do and why did they kill him?
Archer decides to have all his children stay with him and now this includes Skye. Fearing, none of them are going to take that chance. With all their lives on the line and having to be on high alert and still not having a clue who is behind the murders of their families. Everyone is keeping their guard up.
While given a day off from working at The Mausoleum, Skye goes into town and hangs out with an old friend Sissy and drinks a few cold ones. Skye sees a familiar face, a handsome man she has danced with a few times at the club, Dic. After talking Dic and Skye decide to have dinner and catch up. But, something is off and Skye can’t put her finger on it.
After Archer calls to check in on her, he finds out that she is with and freaks out, demanding she comes back to the club now. She doesn’t understand why Archer is acting so crazy. She will soon find out something that she couldn’t ever imagine could be real. Just last week she found out vampires were real, now she finds out Dic is a wolf. A wolf!
After Dic drops Skye off, him and Archer start arguing. Skye leaves, she can’t take it anymore, she starts walking to the parking garage a few blocks away where she left her car at. But, she isn’t alone someone is following her. After an altercation, she finds herself waking up in a dark basement, handcuffed to a water pipe in the middle of the room.
Will Skye be rescued? Can they find her and save her in time? The one who has been killing vampires now has Skye. What does he want with Skye? Will she make it out alive? These are the questions that Skye Morrison will face in Sins of the Father.
Picking up where I left off with Blood of the Son, I loved how J.L. McCoy left us with a cliff hanger wanting more and needing to find out what was going on. She answers a lot of the questions we wanted to know and fills us in with everything we need to know in Sins of the Father, and leaving us aching for more of Skye and Jameson. I absolutely love this series! The characters are awesome and they each have their own little quirks. I love Skye, Jameson and Archer, but I love our gay vampire Trey and we get more of him and get to see Skye and his friendship grow even more. We get to learn more about the vampires and where they come from and how they started. What is a vampire book without a kick ass love scene, well we got one in Sins of the Father and I want to see a LOT more of Jameson and Skye! I love the whole feeling of this book; I seriously got lost in it and didn’t want it to end. Bravo again to J.L for hitting it out of the ball park again and of course I give it 5 Gothic stars!!!!
Quotes from the Book:
“I took your life blood as I made love to you Skye. I took a piece of you into me as you shared yourself with me completely. I can feel you inside of me, my love. Your blood warms my heart. I can feel your very essence pumping through my veins, fusing together with my own. I feel you everywhere.”- Jameson
“Jesus. What is it with you guys always interfering in my shit? You know, if something is bothering me, I’m perfectly capable of taking care of it myself. I’m not some damsel in distress, Archer. I don’t need to be rescued, damn it.”- Skye
“You hurt me and I needed him. He lessened the pain in my heart and I desperately needed that. He kissed away my tears and showed me that love doesn’t have to hurt, Archer. I made love to your brother because I wanted to. I made a mistake choosing you over him and wanted to make it right, before I lost him forever.”- Skye
“Bro? Did you seriously call me Bro? I’m 900 years old.”- Hagan

I finished Sins of the Father (good name but so unoriginal and overused it makes it damn hard to search for it) and while it was a big improvement over book 1 it still has several problems the least of which is still a ton of verbiage, I lost count of how many times her "jaw dropped" and in what can usually make a book DOA for me, she got into politics.
NOTE TO AUTHORS: We do NOT want to read about what party/liberal/conservative/ you like/dislike and may trash your book for that reason alone. We don't want pages upon pages of what music you like, we don't like to read about vampires that sparkle nor do we care to read about vampires that drive a Prius (or any other force fed concerns of yours, environmental or otherwise). We the reading public wishes to be entertained above all else, if we wish to be enlightened we will NOT be reading PNR/UF to get that enlightenment, write this down. WE WANT ENTERTAINMENT AND ESCAPISM!
The story picked up and as obvious, the first 2 books in this series could have been combined to make one really good novel without the entire useless dribble you have to get through. At least we have a plot finally (YAY) we can understand and now cue the werewolves. I will probably buy the next book but it is far from certain, the political comment was a onetime occurrence and I can overlook it one time. We do get an actual ending and not a cliffhanger as last time (an improvement) and left with enough questions to make the next book seem attractive BUT I am really hoping it does not go the way of Anita Blake and her male harem and it keeps looking like she wants to go that way, we shall see (in all fairness I should mention she only has sex with one person). The best writers can take a mythological theme (like vampires) and make it seem real, unfortunately we have at least a couple of scenes in this book where I could not suspend my belief system enough to buy into what she was selling but I shall keep trying. The overarching story (now that I know what it is) is somewhat compelling and interesting so if nothing is pressing I will get the next one and see where it goes. Skye herself is still not the best thing about these books, far from it but the secondary characters were fleshed out a bit more and became real people. At the end of the book I have to say I enjoyed this one, where at the end of Blood of the Son (Book #1 in the Skye Morrison Vampire Series) I was NOT happy.
Bottom Line: I give this book 3.5 Stars for improvement and actually getting a bit of a hook into my interest in seeing one more book. I will hold off on a final recommendation until the next book and see how things get resolved. This has the potential to be a great series, so far it has not reached its potential but the next book will be the deal maker/breaker. Stay tuned .......
Sometimes when a reader goes on to read the second book in a series, they are disappointed. This is not the case with the Skye Morrison Vampire series. "Sins of the Father" is equally as good as the first book in the series if not better because now all of the background data and world building has been established. To be fair, I still have some of the same minor problems with this book as I did with the first. I loathe all of the outdated and cheeky terms of endearments the characters continually throw at each other i.e. "girlfriend, babe, hon." At times, I wanted to scream, enough already!!!!!! In addition, it is no secret that I am not a fan of love triangles especially in adult books. I compare it admiring a beautiful piece of art but knowing it would not look good in your living room. You just wouldn't buy it.
This book begins immediately following the events of the previous book. Skye and Jameson awaken to discover their cars totally demolished by vandals. It does not take them long to narrow their suspects down to Skye's ex-boyfriend, Jesse; but, they did not expect what was waiting for them inside Skye's vehicle: the head of Jesse and the body of Callum, Jameson's good friend. Of course the calvary is brought in and Archer demands that Skye is moved into his lakefront home with the vamps.
At the house, Aoife, continues to be her annoying self but she must admit that her relationship/ marriage to Archer has been over for sometime. Skye realizes she should have given him a chance to explain before moving forward with her relationship with Jameson but the deed is done. Of course, Archer is angry as hell that Skye is now with his brother. While they wrestle to keep their feeling under control, Archer requests that Skye begin training with Haagan. She learns a lot and has the bruises to prove it. So, Archer suggests she takes the day off to heal.
Skye goes into the city and meets up with a friend. They decide to go to a local hookah bar and have a drink. Here Skye discovers that the bar is owned by none other than Dic the man she sees from time to time at The Mausoleum. This will not be the only discovery made with regards to this man especially when Archer discovers where and who she is with.
The vamps continue to research who is killing off their family members but truth be told, they do not have a clue; but, when Skye is kidnapped and tortured they must rally together if they are going to find her in time to save her.
There was plenty of action and intrigue in this book as in the first. I love the characters. There is just such a tasty cadre of good and really nasty bad guys that makes for a more interesting read. I will admit that one of my favorite characters is Jameson but I also found Amun, the villian just as delicious. Pick up this series and enjoy the ride. It is well worth the cost of admission.

~My Review~
This is the second book in the Skye Morrison Vampire Series. Skye Morrison, Archer Rhys and Jameson Doyle have even more of a problem on their hands this time around. It truly ends up deadly in some cases. It is exciting, thrilling and sad. There are even some unanswered questions~ANSWERED! Skyes bond with Archer and Jameson strengthens and brings them closer than ever. She gets extremely close to one of them. Will it be who you want? A deadly force is going around killing vampires and even humans. That is a shock to the vampire clan. This leads Archer demanding Skye stay with him and his fellow vampires at his beautiful~luxurious home. From here on things get CRAZY! I had NO idea J.L. McCoy would put so much detail and keep me so engrossed with what Skye endures. She suffers so much at the hand of this powerful vampire. you can't imagine what important things she learns. The PAIN~The ANGUISH~The SUFFERING that Skye Morrison sustains you FEEL! You CANNOT put the book down until the very END! That is all I will say!! Here is a piece of advice......Purchase both books. Once you start "Blood Of The Sun." You will want "Sins Of The Father" within your reach. J.L. McCoy rocks this series and leaves you wanting and waiting for the next installment of the Skye Morrison Vampire Series.;)
I am rating this series as a whole and not book by book.
I am always excited when I hear about a new series. Especially a vampire series. My first one was the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. After that, I was hooked. I find such great pleasure in knowing there are continuations to such wonderful books!!
This series got better and better. From book one, Blood of the Son, to this book, J.L. takes us on a action packed ride that doesn't disappoint.
In this final book, Skye can't seem to catch a break. If it isn't one enemy it's another. The Dark Ones all wants a piece of her. I see more and more that there are people who use her in order to gain power. But, there is one things good going for her; Archer. Each and every time I read about him, I fall in love all over again. What a piece of man!! Let me say that this book is not for the immature!! It is very sexy and hot so if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the fire!!
Skye is a very good character. She is stubborn but she loves with all her heart. She is surrounded by good friends and plenty of love, even if her life isn't as normal as it should be. Archer is very sexy and determined. His love for Skye is astounding and I would give both my legs for it :) Dean is a riot!! I love that he is always giving Skye "another option" even in front of Archer. It makes me laugh!! He is always causing trouble but always makes sure he does it in front of Archer.
The action scenes in all of these books are great. They keep me on the edge of my seat and make me want more. I always feel satisfied when I finish one of these books. I always feel like all the loose ends are tied up and I can start the next book without being in the dark. That is a lot to say. Some writers feel like leaving loose ends make you want to read the next one more and that isn't always true. It could turn me off from finishing. But not this series.
Congrats to you J.L. for such a wonderful series. I read each one and loved each one. They were passionate and exciting. Phenomenal writing and seamless delivery each and everytime! I am definitely a new fan!!
Book 2 in the `Sky Morrison' series carries on from where book 1 (Blood of the Son) left off, and I can see a marked improvement in the story line. Vampires are being killed which makes them all nervous. Skye's relationship with Jameson bumps up a notch and we get to meet some new characters. I cant help but think that had J.L McCoy pooled the two books into one, cutting out a lot of the useless information, it would have given a much better first impression of this series.
There was still some waffle going on, e.g.......`I took out a coffee mug, added a bag of English Breakfast tea to it, and set it on the kitchen table. I felt like having cereal for breakfast and poured myself a small bowl of Raisin Nut brand. When the kettle whistled, I filled my cup and let the bag steep as I leisurely ate. When I was done I went upstairs, threw on some running shorts and put my hair up in a ponytail, grabbed my iPod and my armband, and got ready to take Styvi for a walk. I whistled and she bolted through the doggy door and ran up to me. I helped her into her into her harness, attached the leash, grabbed my house keys, and stepped out, making sure to relock the door behind me.'........ I am a reader with the firm belief that if a line doesn't move the story along the writer should delete it! How easy would it have been to compact those 131 words into just 11?....`I grabbed breakfast got ready and took Styvi for a walk'....... It is all these unnecessary bits of information that make a story drag, I don't need it, it bores me and it overshadows anything good that I find with a story.
I think as J.L gains experience she will get used to using less of the mundane stuff to make up word count and keep more on track with the story. I hope she takes on board some of the constructive reader feedback that I have seen, it could make her a much more readable writer. It will be interesting to see how she grows in the next few books she releases.
The Sins of the Father is the second book of the Skye Morrison Vampire Series, picking up immediately where Blood of the Son left off. This is the tale of Skye and how she is handling her life as a human in a vampire world.
I really like the how the relationships and chemistry is developing between the characters in this book. I am growing really fond of them. Skye’s personality is really unchanged from the first book except the reader sees a little more of her vulnerability. Sexy vampires Archer and Jameson are interesting, and seemingly on opposite ends of the spectrum, but both are charming in their own way. This book also brings some of the supporting characters more to the forefront, as well as a few new ones. The reader may even be surprised how a couple of them turn out!
Once again, small parts of the story moved a little slow. I think it is because Skye’s everyday routines seemed just a tad over descriptive with that being said, the action in this installment of the series picked up a lot quicker than Blood of the Son. It was also heavier in the romance department. I liked the writing in this one much more, as the purpose of the story was much clearer. Music had a prominent role in this book, just as the last one did. I was glad McCoy didn’t stray from this way of writing; she seems to use music or mentions music at key scenes to help convey an emotion, or bring more life to a scene.
McCoy is really coming along, and it shows with this more improved second book. I am even more excited to see how the third book turns out.

I have to put 2 Favourite Line “I reached up and gently grasped his face between each of my hands and pulled him down for a soft, slow, deep kiss. I poured my sorrow and bliss, my life’s breath and my tears, my very being into that kiss. I kissed Jameson with every word I wanted to say and didn’t; with every word I wanted to say and couldn’t. I kissed him so completely that it brought tears to my eyes.” AND “I wanted to make this sick bastard pay for every time he hit me, fed from me, and nearly raped me. I wanted to make him beg for ME to stop hurting HIM…I wanted to make him regret the day he met me.”
First off let me say this I love how many details this author puts into EVERYTHING!!! She lets me know exactly what I need to so I can close my eyes and see it perfectly. I have never really been into the goth scene (Except my vampires of course) so when author explain it I am really grateful! Thanks for that! Now.... Wow.... Done it again and I am jumping up and down about the certain hookup that happened! ;) Now back to how this story rocked! Now that I know all the characters it was great to see how things progressed with the murders so when the crazy vampire uses Skye to get to Archer and his Vampire family I was AMAZED AND SO PROUD at how our girl Skye handled herself! I won't tell you as always! I'm just saying its action packed steamy and fabulous!!!
I was given this book in exchange for a honest review (RBTL)
Series Review: Books ONE to THREE Reviewer: Justine Rating: 4.5/5 Fairies
Skye Morrison Vampire series, by J.L. McCoy, consists of Blood of the Son (book #1), Sins of the Father ( book #2), and The Original Sin (book #3) and the recently released Legacy of Blood (review out very soon!). This series floored me! I was sucked in (pun intended) from the very beginning with book one and was screaming “OFF WITH HER HEAD” (that would be J.L. McCoy’s head I was looking for) by the end of book 3! Even though they were all decent size books at just under 250 pages each, I gobbled them down in the record time of a day and a half.
With all this awesome there is of course a catch. Sadly, Miss McCoy committed a cardinal Justine sin in two of the three books! The ending had no conclusion! I got to the last sentence turned the page..…… and my e-reader smacks me across the face with a blank page!!!!! I was all "Holy Cliffhanger Batman!!” I am giving this series an overall 4.5 fairies! But warn you that you may want to buy both book 1 and book 2 at the sometime to avoid cliffhangover. I unfortunately will not recover from my book 3 cliffhangover till the next book Legacy of Blood which is available now.
Disclaimer: These books were provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.
I'm having to slow myself down to explain how enthralled, enraptured, completely captivated I am with this book - If they got any better, I think I may burst. It's been a very long time since I was THIS excited about a book, a series, and a character - probably not since Merit and the ChicagoLand Vamps by Chloe Neill!!!
Ok. So. I love that this book picks up where the previously left off. No long introduction to make it a stand-alone book. While I understand why most authors do it that way, it gets repetitive, and I'm SUPER glad that J.L. did it the way she did. (She does give bits of back story, but never a long-winded 3 chapter long synopsis of book 1).
Sins of the Father is packed with action - and we finally get some good kink thrown in there! YUM. (I won't say with whom, don't want to ruin the book) We meet more vampires, the vampire 'law enforcement' and even some werewolves!
This one has a much darker undertone than it's predecessor - and I ate up every moment of it like I was cookie monster with cookies!
CANT WAIT to see what book 3 has in store for me...I mean, Skye, of course.
*This book was gifted to me, and I'm not being compensated for my review*
The aftershock of Greyson Mead's murder by the unknown attacker has Sky and her vampire friends reeling. None has any idea what kind of creature stalks those of Archer Rhys' vampire family. Revelations of similar murders not only locally but also in other states and overseas has everyone on edge. The vampire culture Skye's aligned herself with is being attacked by one similar to them in that it drinks blood, but with very different beliefs. J.L. McCoy second story in this series moves right from the start. Skye's enjoying her position as Archer's executive assistant, and she's also falling hard for Jameson. McCoy plots all the twists and turns like a master, leaving the reader on the edge of their seat every moment. Even the addition of a werewolf clan at odds with the vampires doesn't slow the pace. This preternatural murder mystery will satisfy everyone interested in this type of book.
This is the second installment of the Skye Morrison Vampire series and it picked up right where the first one ended. I did not put this book down, basically devouring it , I was that engrossed! I am going to try not to give out any spoilers which is hard, this book is full of twists and turns, making me sit up and pay attention to every word I was reading. I fell in love with Skye in the first book, this one sealed the deal! She is one kick ass , great hearted, spunky female! Man she has some stones! All of your other favorite characters were back for his explosive book, met some new ones as well, some nice and some total asshats! Archer the leader still sexy and brooding, Jameson still sweet and sexy, Skye is still torn between these two, me? I say keep them both! The action in this book is nail biting to say the least, add some comedy, drama, mystery and you've got the total package. Buy this book and you won't regret t, I myself will soon be devouring the next installments .
"Sins Of The Father" by J.L. McCoy is the second book in the "Skye Morrison Vampire Series" and it picks right up where the first book "Blood Of The Son" left off, with Archer Rhys admitting shocking news...that a deadly force is going around killing vampires which it leads Archer demanding Skye to stay with him and his crew at his luxurious lakeside mansion until the army "The Faithful" gonna find the murderer.
Like book 1, I enjoyed and liked very much this book. It's action packed, full of twists and turns. We're also introduced to more characters and let's don't forget the love triangle between Skye, Archer and Jameson. Even she gets extremely close to one of them, it's not like she can't completely forget the other one...
This review really carries on from what I had written about #1 but with one slight change of thought. These two books would have been a better first book, cutting out all the pointless bits and just sticking with the plot. This would have made a consistent good first book, instead this #2 carries on the same theme as the first. I find myself reading bits wondering why it has been included.
Throughout that negativity I really like the character of Skye and the cliff hanger at the end of Book #2 will leave you wanting more. I'm not quite sure how McCoy does it but she keeps me reading and reading despite the flaws. I am either incredibly fussy or she knows exactly how to pull in the reader at the right moment.
Loving this series, the relationship between Skye, Jameson and Archer is very interesting. Did she choose the right man? I just dont know yet!
I'm hooked on this series, Skye has some issues, she loves her bag, everyone loves her - even Aoife now! But you know what I don't care, I think she's a great character, she's friendly, strong and can kick arse,
This book takes us into vampire manor, yes Skye has to move in with them all for her own protection. I think the vamps are great but hang on, we know have werewolves too ❤️
Expect some action and interesting relationships. I have to say I'm glad there's not such a cliff hanger in this book, but I'm still eager to see where book 3 takes us.
The two books could have easily been one 300 page book. Enjoyed the read - fast and funny at times. Very simplistic at others - to simplistic. The dialogue was so stilted and grade school between characters I found myself stopping and reading it again, yes second time around still felt like a grade school conversation. Proof reading is a must - brass tax?? Or brass tacks? Just one example of several. I will read book three - definitely interested in the continuance of Jameson, Archer and Dean!
Sins of the Father -- Book 2 4 stars This book in my opinion was more informative verses storyline. It gives a lot of background about Archer and Jameson. There are a good many secrets revealed during this book. You are introduced more thoroughly to some of the newer characters which is a part I always love. I really enjoy when there are a good amount of people throughout the storyline. I feel it gives the story more depth. Now I will say that this book takes you on some bumpy rides but I don't want to say too much. Just read and enjoy!
What do you do when you are faced with having to move in with two of the hottest guys on the planet? I have to admit that I am jealous of Skye for all these hot guys! I love that they put her into a training program and are going out of their way to make sure she is protected.
When they found the surprises (trying not to spoil it!) in the driveway, I was ready to pack up and run for the hills! Great continuing story in this series and I am dying for more!
The second book was just as great as the first. I just couldn't believe how much I got into this book.
In this one I find out even more secrets and I just wonder what else is in store for the next book. I just can't believe that I have got so into this series. It is very addictive. I just want to tell you everything about the book but I won't give any spoilers away.
The only thing that I will say is you really need to read this series.
After someone close to Skye is killed by the killer she is forced to stay with Archer and his family. After finding out werewolves exist Skye storms off and is kidnapped and tortured by the killer who has been draining vampires. The killer is out for revenge against the bloodline that locked him up and he has set his sights on Skye.
I'm still team Jameson!!! This was a dark, edgy book and I loved it. The author did a great job creating a goth, industrial world that was believable. The vampires have great characters and Sky is bad ass. Overall, it was a great read.
The book covers for this series are not very appealing... I would not have picked up this book based on the cover. That aside, what's inside the cover is absolutely great. Another gripping read, did not put this book down until I was finished. Love the new characters and a great plot.
I'm glad I took a chance on this book. There is a lot more action, less details on every day activities and work. However, I feel that this book could have been combined with the first one to make a much better book.
