Real recipes for alien foods. Too many times I see sci-fi related cookbooks that are a joke (I'm looking at YOU, Star Wars). I want to see actual foods from the movie or show, not "Wookie Cookies". THIS book is definitely a cut above. Just about all of the recipes written here are actual foods seen in the show. Of course they are made with "human equivalent" ingredients, however you got to love they put that attention to detail by noting what the alien ingredient is (No, not butter! It's tawloo fat). There are some recipes that are decidedly non-alien, but even then it's a good addition to the book. Especially the story-driven bagna cauda (which is actually a nice twist on the traditional recipe).

I've got a weakness for media tie in cookbooks. I think this is one of the best I've read. It's very in character for both the place and the characters which inhabit it.

This is probably the only place you'll find recipes for Minbari Flarn & Narn Breen (which humans call Swedish meatballs).

It's full colour, and has loads of show photos inside. If you're a fan of B5, it's one of the best spinoffs the show ever had.
