In his diaries, author Kurt Grant describes the inner workings of the military as he saw it during his tour of duty as a reservist who was chosen to go with 1 RCR as part of UNPROFOR, Rotation 5 to CANBAT One in Croatia, in the fall and winter of 1994-1995.
