I picked this up on my birthday because:

a) it was my birthday
b) it was free
c) I like running and it seemed to be about running
d) eye catching cover

It was good; a short story about a mum called Cora who fancies going for a run.

Well written, highly enjoyable. I may check out other things by Diane.

A gripping short tale which will keep you engrossed to the end: how an ordinary day can turn into a living nightmare. I defy you to put it down once you've started reading! Highly recommended.

If you can get over the fact that the main character wasn't very smart to leave her small kids alone, even for a short run, then the story is exciting. You can feel the urgency that she must get rescued soon. And the dog's sacrifice was heart-breaking.

This is a short story that can be read in 30 minutes and it’s worth reading.

It’ll bring tears to your eyes and joy to your heart. It is sad but also uplifting. It angers you but also pleases you.

Lastly, it certainly makes me want to continue reading Diane Strong’s work.

good but not gripping

A nice short read, and well written and enjoyable, but also predictable. Not bad for a free kindle story though!

I liked it. I would've given it more stars but a) we never find out what happened to cause Cora's injuries and b) seriously?! She couldn't let the dog live?! Geesch.

Kindles brīvversija. Īstais stāsts - ap 10000 vārdu. Saspringts sižets. Vienīgi ar aizkustinošām beigām. Par skriešanu, bērnu audzināšanu, suni un vēl šo, to. Ļoti patika.
