This book is well organized, and methodically covers black bear hunting and the various methods of take. The biology and science portions are a little light and primarily focused on factors that directly contribute to hunt-ability and trophy quality. The methods of take sections are nothing special, and don't go in-depth into any particular topic to provide more then a cursory overview.

I did learn a few things in the section on optics, which was nice.
