Finally Sam and Cass are reunited but things are far from normal. They both fail to recall memories of each other and continue to struggle with their ever-growing connection.
Sam seems intent on working alongside the fearsome angel Metatron but she appears to have reasons for doing so. She wants to find out the truth about her life and why she feels so strongly towards Cass.
Cass is busy carrying out his archangel duties but wonders why Metatron seems to want to keep him away from Sam. He wants to recover his memories and it appears that the only person who may be able to help with this is Araton.
Araton is struggling to carry out his plan. Even with the help of Raguel, he is finding it difficult to help Sam and Cass remember who they truly are and what happened twenty-one years ago.
Can they all finally work together and overthrow Metatron or will they be doomed forever?
Or more importantly, will Sam and Cass ever be able to live normal lives again?
