Truthfully I have never been a big MC fan but this series is winning me over! That being said, I love Kate Oliver’s work and always look forward to new releases so I was still excited to read Doc.
Doc is book four in the Shadowridge Guardians MC which is a multi-author series. I liked how even though each author is writing different books for the Brothers we still get to meet and interact with everyone!
Kate has done a wonderful job incorporating the Club culture while still maintaining the gentle and Dominating relationships between the Daddies and Littles.
Doc (Levi) and Harper are two of the sweetest souls i think i’ve ever read🥹 Their story is one of mutual comfort and vulnerability.🩷
While Doc is more mild in spice (rightfully so due to the nature of their story together) keep in mind that Doc is the club Medic and this is a DD/lg book (if you know you know😉)
Here’s what I loved the most: 🐱Doc’s nickname for Harper is Kitten 👯♀️Harper’s friendship with the other Littles 🥹Doc’s attention to Harper’s insecurities 🥰The overall light and sweet tones of the book
Eew. I didn’t like this one. I felt really grossed out at some parts, and there wasn’t really a plot.
Sigh I don’t really know where to start with this one. I’ve read the other books from Kate Oliver and really enjoyed them, but I’m not enjoying this series at all. Sadly there wasn’t really a plot. Harper meets Doc when she drops her ice cream and he buys her another one. He quickly realises that she’s a ‘little,’ and terrified of men, as she was abused by her ex. As he gradually wins her over and they fall in love, her ex doesn’t like it, and sends her threatening messages. No clue what happened to her ex in the end as it doesn’t say.
I’ve got to say it takes a lot for me to be grossed out by a book, but I actually cringed at some parts. For example; Doc is putting an enema in one of the littles bottoms, and he looks at her parts and noticed she’s turned on! NOPE!!! I don’t like the enema thing anyway, and in her other books she doesn’t write about it, and to look at her and notice that…. 🙈
Really disappointed with this series. Oh and one last thing. it’s really annoying when an author writes her characters as reading HER BOOKS!
Much better than the other two I read in the series ('Steele' by Pepper North and 'Gabriel' by Becca Jameson) but not good enough for me to try another.
Shallow, trite but surprisingly sweet read. (And I was quite amused by a paramedic being into medical play.)
Good 1) female lead, although broken, was brave 2) male lead was respectful and steadfast 3) smut was loving 4) consent and safe word function were prominently established as a part of each new situation
Mixed 1) relationship-building was light and rushed but a clear emotional connection was built on-page thru on-going sharing and consideration
Bad 1) writing was rough 2) storytelling was juvenile 3) plot was thin and hackneyed 4) leads entered a d/l relationship without discussing interests, preferences, limits, boundaries, ect 5) using a glass thermometer is NOT safe 6) the author pimped other books by her in the story 7) And the following: 'Ivy shrugged. “Doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. I fell in love with my Daddy fast. We clicked immediately.” As they continued walking down the path, Harper couldn’t help but let Ivy’s words linger in her mind. Was it possible for someone to fall in love so quickly? She doubted it. Love was a complex emotion, one that required time and trust to develop. Didn’t it?' Yes, Harper, it does. Ivy has no idea what she is talking about because she was literally brain damaged and unable to process anything past being saved at the time!
I did enjoy a lot of it but I don't know that I would recommend it.
Doc is book 4 in the shared series Shadowridge Guardians. This series is written by 3 fabulous authors. And while they can be read as standalones, they work much better together as the characters are shared.
Doc is a DDlg book that does feature some elements of age play and discipline. This is the story of Levi "Doc" and Harper. Doc steps in to help Harper out when she's injured. Afterwards neither can seem to get the other off their mind. Enter a mischievous Little who conspires to get them together and the two find themselves more drawn to each other. Harper is fresh out of a bad abusive relationship and isn't ready to date. She doesn't need a boyfriend, she needs a Daddy. And Doc wants to be that Daddy. Doc works at the firehouse as a medic. He has been dealing with PTSD since he came home from Iraq. He suffers from nightmares almost daily. But he is such a great man. He is loyal and patient and caring. He allows things with Harper to go at her speed. But Harper's ex just won't leave her be. It's up to Doc and his brothers in the MC to help out. He keeps Harper safe and happy and she helps his nightmares go away. They are such a sweet couple. I loved getting to see the other Littles around and get more glimpses of the brothers who may be featured in future stories. I can't wait for the next book!
🏍️Motorcycle Club 🏍️Daddy Dom 🏍️Forced Proximity 🏍️Found Family
Doc is the fourth book of the Shadowridge Guardians MC series of interconnected standalones. I adore this series and these books have become my comfort reads. When I am feeling anxious I know I can pick up one of Kates books to help me get out of my head and calm my nerves.
Harper has just gotten away from her abusive ex and just wants to be free to live the way she wants to. When she falls and scraps up her hands and knees Levi is there to help fix her up. I love Levi! He is so protective of Harper right from the start and knows she is meant to be his. I liked that he knew he needed to go slow for her sake since she was scared of everything from the abuse from her ex. All of the Shadowridge Guardians were patient with her and immediately treated her like family.
This book is sweet with a little bit of suspense mixed in. I loved that we got little snippets of the others in the motorcycle club and I can’t wait for Gabriel’s story!
What can I say but bravo!! Kate Oliver is always spot on with her stories and I have loved every single one of them. This story is set in the series Shadowridge Guardians and is book #4. Harper is trying her best to get away from an abusive ex, who happened to be part of an MC. When she is almost run down by another bad MC group, Doc (Levi) and some of the guys are there. Doc is instantly attracted to her but sees that she is scared. After helping her out, he leaves but keeps an eye on her. I loved watching them on their journey to Daddy and Little Girl. When her ex shows up, it's up to Doc and the other members of the MC to "set him straight"! Will Harper ever be able to be comfortable around Doc and the others? Will Doc finally put his 'nightmares' to rest since he has Harper by his side? The other authors in this series, Pepper North and Becca Jameson, are such talented writers and I can't wait for more in this series!!!!
Doc by Kate Oliver is the next installment of the Shadowridge Guardians series. Each book is another piece of a beautiful puzzle showcasing love and the beauty of DDlg relationships. In Doc, Kate has written a captivating tale with fully fleshed characters that effortlessly tugged at my heart. I found myself emotionally invested in Doc and Harper’s journeys, eagerly rooting for them to get the happy ending they so deserved. And as if all of that wasn’t delightful enough, reading the book is like attending a reunion with beloved characters from previous books. Each encounter with these familiar faces sparks joy. Moreover, we get tantalizing peeks of characters who will take center stage in future books. It’s a literary treat for the mind and heart. Kate’s ability to evoke genuine emotions and create a sense of connection with the characters makes this book a must read.
I love this book. Number four in the Shadow Ridge Guardians MC series. Levi is Doc. One day, he helps a little girl called Harper, who had been knocked over and dropped her ice cream. Doc knows immediately she is little and is drawn to her. Harper has escaped from her ex and wants nothing to do with this very hansom and gentle man. But littles will be littles, and as soon as Remi has an inkling, Doc has found someone. She makes it her job to set them both on the right track. Harper had never felt free to be little and now has little friends. Her joy is palpable. However, that would be too easy, so throw in an abusive ex. Heightened emotions and an MC all wanting to protect every little, and you get a full and glorious read. I love these characters and the world that is being created. I highly recommend this book, series, and authors.
Doc is the fourth book in the shared Shadowridge Guardians Mc series which revolves around Littles and their daddies. Levi (Doc) - Harper Doc Comes to the rescue when Harper falls and hurts herself. He is immediately in awe of her and wants to pursue a relationship with her, Harper however is very wary of getting into a new relationship as she has just gotten out of an abusive one. When Doc gets a call that Harper's building has caught fire he steps in and takes care of her telling her he is willing to wait for her. Doc suffers from PTSD and finds that he can actually sleep soundly when sharing a bed with her. Harper and Doc is one of my fav couples in the series and cannot wait to see more future glimpses of them.
Doc is the fourth book of the Shadowridge Guardians MC series. While this series can be read as standalone, I would highly recommend to read the previous books as the characters are interconnected.
Harper, a shy, timid and anxious little has recently moved to this town after escaping her abusive ex and ends up injured by some MC on her way back from the ice cream shop. Levi, also known as Doc helps an injured Harper and buys her another ice cream. Since their first meeting, they can't seem to forget about each other.
Doc and his other Shadowridge mates and their littles are patient and caring towards Harper and help her heal from her ex.
I enjoyed reading about their slowburn romance, the spice and their lovey dovey moments.
I have been waiting for Doc’s story. He has watched the other men get their littles and he wanted to have that as well. He has such a tender heart, part of what made him a good medic. It helps him to be careful with Harper who left an abusive ex and is having trouble trusting. Doc gently pushes her while respecting the boundaries she has and she learns to trust him completely. Their relationship is so sweet and I loved this couple so much! I felt myself cheering them on. This story is well written and while it can definitely be read as a stand alone, you will recognize other characters from the previous books that will give you a greater understanding of the bond they all share. This is a solid 5 star read!
Kate Oliver has produced another wonderful story of Levi, (Doc) and Harper in this Shadowridge Guardians MC book 4. Doc is the MC's medic, who also works as a Firefighter Medic. Harper is a cake icing expert who suffers from anxiety and when Harper is injured Doc's innate need to help steps in. Harper has had an absuive relationship, so when Doc asks her for a date she panics. Will Doc wait patiently for Harper to heal, will Harper's abusive ex reappear, will Harper finally realise Doc is the Daddy she has always needed?. The MC family again always protects their own. This heart-warming book is a wonderful story for all Daddy readers.
This was my first book in this series as it can be read as a standalone however I am now wanting to go back and get the full story of the other characters. This book is about Harper and Levi also known as Doc. This book features age play. Harper has just recently moved to this town to get away from an abusive ex and has anxiety she meets Levi after falling down because an out of town MC club scared her. Levi is quick to take care of her and assure her that everything will be okay. He is sweet and caring with her but also has the possessive she is mine attitude. I enjoyed the book. But if you have issues with age play then this probably isn’t the book for you.
Harper, in a new town, trying to start over and move on from her past. She meets Doc when she is startled and drops her ice cream cone. The horror!
Doc, a sweet man with a past as well wanting a little of his own, is stunned when he helps a woman pick herself and offers to get her a new ice cream cone. Not knowing she would become his.
Where to start with this book?! I mean, Kate's writing speaks for itself. She truly transports you to the world living in her head, and you feel like you are right there. I adore how all her books are interwoven and characters from her other books are mentioned. I had to laugh when the littles were reading one of Kate's books.
Whenever I’m feeling down or need a reading pick me up, age play romances are my go to. There is nothing better than a good Daddy Dom/Little Girl love story, to put a huge smile on my face. The Shadowridge Guardians are a hot group MC Daddies and in this book Levi finds his Little girl. As the medic of the series, Doc has taken care of his share of Littles and when he sees Harper he is a goner. Watching him be the super daddy that he was meant to be was sweet and I enjoyed every moment of it. This book was a read in one sitting, drama free read and was exactly what I needed. I’m giving 𝗗𝗢𝗖 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
Loved this book! This series just keeps getting better. There are three authors writing but the world blends together and I must read them all. Doc first meets Harper when she is leaving an ice cream shop. He is immediately drawn to her and wants to help her. She is new to town and has recently left an abusive boyfriend. Can she heal from that? What will it take? Can she let Doc in and give him control? Harper ends up staying with Doc after a fire at her apartment. One thing leads to another from there...Oh this was a very good story. Of course it ends in an HEA but the journey is a roller coaster.
Doc is a member of the Shadowridge Guardians MC. He’s single and a Daddy. He’s the club’s doctor and takes care of the medical needs of the MC and their families! And he might have just found his Little who is in need of protection!
Harper is a little and just got out of a horrible abusive relationship. Then she goes and drops her ice cream after almost getting ran over by a motorcycle, in comes a member of the local MC who looks her over patches her up and buys her a new ice cream. Uh oh. She wasn’t planning on falling in love anytime soon!
This was such a sweet book I loved Harper and Doc! Can’t wait for more!
I love these books and eagerly look for the next one.
Harper and Doc...what a sweet story. Harper escaped from an abusive relationship and landed with the Shadowridge Guardians...specifically Doc.
Doc is patient with Harper and it doesn't take long before he knows that she is his Little girl. Once she gets used to the fact that no one in the compound is going to hurt her, she settles in and slowly but surely she relaxes and feels like she belongs. Of course she is a good girl...but even good girls can be bad, right?!
A very entertaining story as are the ones before and the ones to come. I am hooked!
Wow! Just wow! Doc’s story was everything and more than I hoped it would be! When he meets Harper for the first time, the attraction between them was palpable. She just got out of an abusive relationship and wants to try being on her own. But when she meets Doc, she starts to think twice. These two just meshed perfectly together. I enjoyed their witty banter and their chemistry was smoking hot! Doc is fiercely protective of Harper so when she is threatened, he will stop at nothing to protect and love her. This story is definitely a favorite of mine and I highly recommend that everyone read it!
I really like this series about the members of a motorcycle club full of strong men who are kind to women. The different authors are doing a good job of blending the stories so they all feel like they belong together.
Harper has moved away from her abusive ex and is now scared of her own shadow. When she gets hurt, Doc comes to her rescue. There is an immediate Daddy/little connection but Harper isn't sure she wants to start another relationship. She can't trust herself to make good choices but he wants to take care of all her needs. Sweet DD/lg interactions.
Doc is one of the Shadowridge MC guys I knew I was going to love. Even when he popped up in other books I could tell he would have a great story and believe me this one did not disappoint! When Harper takes a spill on the sidewalk and loses her ice cream cone, Doc picks her up and mends her booboos. And then he falls for her. Harper is such a sweet Little. She is much quieter than some and definitely has higher anxiety that some of the Littles we have met so far. But she is perfect for Doc and she falls just as hard for him. When she crawls onto his chest and hugs him after one of his bad PTSD dreams I melted! It was so sweet! I did not want this one to end!! So So good!
Kate is Queen Daddy. Nobody writes them like she does. These MC Daddies are everything. Doc-Levi, and Harper are just so sweet and so compatible. He’s definitely a daddy for the books! Spicy, sweet, some plot, a whole lot of Little lovin’ and care. The comradery/brother-ship of all the guys makes me giddy. She’s one lucky lady to catch the attention of the hot as sin medic/biker Daddy who is smitten.
Can always count of Kate’s books for low angst, high sweetness, and a feel good experience. So excited for the next books to see more of this couple as we’ve seen the previous ones in Doc!
This book is #4 in the Shadowridge Guardians MC. You don’t have to read the series as this could be a standalone but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ EACH BOOK.
Doc and Harper are absolutely perfect together! Harper is getting out of a rough relationship and doesn’t want to date. Doc has been looking for his Little girl for a while. When they meet its instant love for Doc. When her past comes back into her life, Doc and the MC has her back. Doc protecting her makes her realize she doesn’t want to wait anymore.
This book is Daddy/lg, has abuse and motorcycle club. Please read TW.
Doc and Harper's story was so beautiful with all the feels and an instant connection. This is a DDlg and he is the perfect Daddy for Harper. She is so scared of herself and to be who she is and running from an abusive ex takes a toll on her when Doc (Levi) shows her how she should be treated. He is so patient, loving, listens and just a beautiful man inside and out. With the help of the MC family and their Littles it was so much fun seeing Harper bloom.
I laughed at their antics, swooned and just loved every word.
Doc/Levi had been helping his MC brothers with their little girls, and hoping to find his own Little girl to love. Then he meets a scared little girl, Harper, with scraped hands and knees, who'd just lost her ice cream cone, and suspected he'd just found his own Little girl. I'm glad the author didn't drag the other MC into this story and that the bad guy was taken care of intelligently. I loved Harper and Levi who were both caring and good people, along with the rest of the MC Daddies and their Littles. On to the next book! ;D
I must say that I wasn’t impressed with this story. The story was pretty flat in my opinion. I also had a hard time liking some of the side characters. While the women may play with dolls etc, she’s still an adult. If someone says no, that means no. Not, it’s my way or you get spanked? WTF? Are women really that hard up for companionship to put up with this nonsense? Who says the so called Daddy is always right? Please. Oh, and then to examine other women on the compound? Also gross! No thank you!
This book was everything I wanted and more. It definitely started as a 5 star read the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because I felt like the end was drawn out. But omg doc is for sure a book boyfriend, daddy and everything I would want in someone. He cares so hard for Harper and Harper cares just as hard for Doc. I love the dynamic of this found family and how everyone welcomes Harper with open arms. I definitely can’t wait to read Gabriel’s book
Omg I loved this story!! Doc and Harper are absolutely perfect for each other! They each are exactly what the other needs in their life! He saved her from an abusive ex boyfriend and she saved him from trauma nightmares. Harper can be the precious Little Girl that she wants to be in a non judgmental relationship and Doc gets to be the Daddy that helps her with decisions because he likes control. Cute book couple!!
Another great book from Kate Oliver! I love this newest installment of Shadowridge Gaurdians MC!! Doc is so good with Harper! He is so caring and gentle! It warms my heart to see the way all these Daddies join together to help a little in need. Doc helps Harper heal from an abusive relationship and Harper helps Doc heal from his dramatic past. This sweet and spicy book is a definite must read. I do suggest reading them.in order to get the best experience out of the series!
