Very helpful book! Honest & practical advice that I really need. Really great advice and a solid walk-though of how to start to get your home clutter-free. The best part is that you can walk away with just a few tips from this book and make a big difference in your space. OR, you can start with the basics and work your way through the book into the more advanced designs of storage space. WELL done! A couple of minor typos but overall, this book is like having your own lifestyle coach.
I bought the newly expanded and improved 2nd edition and it’s really brimming with great ideas. I really liked the chapters on each room in the home, and I especially liked the one on decluttering the home office because my own office is definitely a “clutter magnet”.
The chapter on ‘under the stairs’ wasn’t too inspiring, but this was made up with a good chapter on the garage.
The book also delves quite deeply into finding the right mindset for decluttering and discusses how it’s not important to surround yourself with possessions you don’t really need. I’m definitely someone who is guilty of this, so this book really helped me to look beyond them and to understand what “simple living” really means.
The 10 Minutes (or Less) Clutter-Free Action Plan will be really useful for breaking the decluttering process down into manageable chunks. It will be something I can easily implement and I’ll definitely be incorporating it into those moments in the day when I have 10 minutes or so free.
All in all, this was a great read and definitely very inspiring.
